Great local eatery with a laid back atmosphere and casual feel. The food is good, locally owned and independent pizza good, with quality ingredients. I believe its on Tuesday afternoons/evenings, but on one evening each week they have a reasonably-priced buffet. The waitstaff and employees are helpful and nice, but theres a local feel to the place that manifests as a well-deserved confidence in their restaurant. For a moderately priced–and worth it because local businesses are becoming rare–satisfying, Italian diner meal, Leon Gessis gets my business on average a couple of times per month. Dont forget the buffet night! Great value and tons of food. They even have a salad bar, and although it doesnt have tons of different items like a larger salad bar would, a delicious, basic salad bar paves a clear path for tasty Italian entrées to follow on the way to the heart. Leon Gessis is one of those special places that has a permanent place in mine.

Ive been in town for 4 months and have finally found a great place for New York style pizza. It really is some of the best Ive ever had. It was about $25 for a pizza for two with beers. There is no need to tip as you order from the counter and they serve it to you. We came on a Friday night and the back room was so loud, I thought my ears were going to bleed from the extremely loud chatter of the other patrons. I listen to very loud music all day, and I seriously couldnt handle this back room. Im afraid it may have permanently damaged my hearing. We found a table in front and it was much more pleasant. Overall, I give this place a 10 of 10. The pizza is spot on perfect.

First time customer/last time customer. Did an online pickup, arrived a little early and the person who greeted me said someone would call my name when it was ready. This never happened and after 20min of patiently waiting, i again asked when it would be ready. My order was initially retrieved as it had been sitting there for some time and everyone neglected to let me know. They werent too bothered by the fact that the order was now 25min late on a night when they were not busy and didnt seem to care that i had been waiting like a moron. Im sure its a great place, but Ill never know.

I wanted to throw my wife a very special birthday party because as working parents we never seam to take time for ourselves. I asked her were she would like to go and she said Leon Gessie. The staff was very helpful letting us take over their back room on a busy night. We had 40 guest and many had never been to Leon Gessies but said they would be back with their friends and family. Leon Gessie is a great place to throw your end of season soccer, baseball, and football parties. Just call ahead to set it up. This place is very busy.

I sometimes come here with friends so Im not a continuing customer. It is also a pretty expensive restaurant, too. HOWEVER, Ive had such great pizza here! Not to mention, the decor is pretty cool. Service was great: my friends, family, and I have always had hot, steamy pizza that wasnt a grease trap. I usually get the kitchen sink pizza. Amazing pizza! Plus, this place has always made me have a great time with friends and family. I highly recommend coming here!

Not sure I understand the hype around this place. The pizza was on par with a frozen pizza, not cheesy and gooey at all. Flavors were okay, but well be going to boriellos next time we want NY style pizza. The boneless wings were identical to the Tyson frozen wings you can buy from the grocery store. The only thing this place has going is the atmosphere, felt homey and down to earth. I wanted to love it.

Love, love, love, their pizza! They have their daily special where you can get a drink, salad and a slice of pizza for under $10. I always get the "Kitchen Sink" which is their version of a supreme. They have a super efficient system of getting you your food fast so i can go there even on my lunch hour. They also have a good selection of craft beers on tap.

My husband loves this place and he is from NY , so he took me there the other day and the Pizza was awesome ! I never ever eat more then one slice because I simply dont like Pizza but I ate a half pie and that means something . Really nice set up and wish they was more ambiance all the way around but other then that the Pizza is great !

The food is good but unfortunately the sandwiches appear not to have more vegetables on them. Usually I would get a sandwich that was pretty chocked full of vegetables along with the meet. For whatever reason that did not happen. I like the owner Mark but he needs to learn not to raise his voice at people when he disagrees with someone.

Good customers service. Nice place good pizza. Their menu is outdated on their site. Its a little more pricey than what is shown. Meatballs are very tough and dried out. They double bake them and dont put them in sauce so they dri out. Not like what i had in my hometown of philly or nyc.

It was way better under the old ownership. The new owner is a moron and changed the whole place. When my friends and I were at Wasson we always sat at the "Players Table", had a neat wooden sign, and the new guy took it off, took out the cool pictures and ruined the "old" look to it.

We stopped in for some dinner with our 3 boys. Wife and i barely got to eat because our boys flew through it soooo fast! It was delicious! I highly recommend the Buffalo bread! We also had the butcher shop pizza./oh man..all meat. I may get bread BUT I STILL TAKE SAUSAGE!

Colorado Springs has no good pizza. Im from the Chicago area I know good pizza when I eat it. The pizza out here lacks sauce, the amount they use plus the taste of it just lacks flavor. I mean its edible but I need to find a place where it even compares to Chicago pizza.

Their tuesday buffet special is great except they need to crank the pizzas out quicker and they most definitely need to expand their seating. Its always so crowded! The pizza is alright though, nothing real special but cant beat the deal so it evens out I guess

Tuesdays pizza buffet was excellent and the price was right. 4 stars on the fact that they couldnt keep the pizzas rolling out fast enough. Meatball, pep, sausage, bacon, and ham was great. They were very busy by all accounts. In all a nice dining experience.

Really good, though not great pizza, particularly for how far out of the way it is for me personally. If it were closer, Id come back more often, if only for the buffalo cheese bread (I highly recommend it), but I dont know if Id go back for the pizza alone.

We love this place and have taken friends and family here for a while now. I came here from back east and have found that leons pizza every bit as good as back east. I am writing this on a Tues and guess where we will be tonight for dinner :)
