I love La Baguette, I have been going since I was a kid. However, this was my first time going to this location (Colorado Ave.) I went with my parents as a nice lunch. We got there, ordered our food and sat down. The girl who took our order was clearly new and instead of asking for help, she did it all herself. As we waited, it became clear they had lost our order. I went up to check on our food because we had been sitting there for a least a half an hour (and none of the staff seemed to notice) and they had lost the ticket, the girl who took our order flat our denied everything (losing our ticket and said she didnt do it, Gee! I wonder who did then????) Once they finally started bringing our food, the girl forgot my french onion soup and when I reminded her, she denied that as well and said its coming. So, I sat there and watched my family eat (french onion soup takes a while to cook), by the time I finally got it, they were out of the bread that comes with it, if the girl had done what she was supposed to do, I would have gotten my meal the way I was supposed too. See how upset we were, never once did a manager come by, they just said "oh well, too bad" and that was that. I will NEVER go there again, nor would I recommend this location to anyone! The one downtown is amazing and I have never dealt with a stupid employee there. Dont go to this one, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!!

Do NOT come here in anticipation of a French bakery. Its fine as a standard bakery and does have good coffee, but my classically trained kitchen self was shocked that they get away with being called French. Never in my life have I been to a "French" place where an eclair was filled with whipped cream instead of pastry cream. Whipped. Cream. Low quality chocolate was on top (or high quality that they overheated or got water into, causing it to be thick and not fully set). Plain croissant was sweet, which is fine for a bakery, but once again if I choose somewhere for French fare, I expect a butter croissant, not a sugar croissant. And if youre going to pipe "Opera" on the entremet cake in the worst possible unpracticed handwriting, at least include the accent over the "e". Bread was good, but not baked as much as I expect for a French recipe. Whatever type of Swiss cheese they use inside a ham and cheese croissant (once again, the sweetness of the dough was off) was rubbery and pretty gross. I was not happy with my visit and will not return.

I would like to say Im pretty disappointed in this place. Not only did I get a stale roll but really bad stuck up service. This place is not French. It is run by people from Poland. Being born in Poland I have to first and foremost apologize for their way of acting. I went in to ask for some assistance fundraising for a fellow VET that lost his legs. All I asked for was to be put in touch with the owner. I was given a card by Isabella and told to call him. The number was to the restaurant. Lie number 1. I called the next day and was told the owner was on vacation. And they refused to take my number or put me in touch. As a 17 year veteran that trained AND worked with the GROM, I can safely say this is a blatant disregard and lack of sympathy for humanity. Especially when 3 other restaurants from the area offered to help. If youre a US VET, or Polish this is not an establishment for us.

This used to be a really great place for quality and a unique atmosphere. We have been coming here for French onion soup and warm baguette sandwiches. This is no longer the case. We were served burnt French onion, that was not very hot, poorly made sandwiches which were served cold and took 20minutes to heat. Multiple orders were messed up with wrong salads, wrongs dressings and missing dishes. After all that the food was not up to quality. This location is no longer maintaining the quality and standards that we have grown to love over the last 15 years. Please be aware that if you come with a large party the management here is not very accommodating. After making a complaint the manager walked away from us, and while asking for a glass of water the server walked away and never returned. We will gladly still try the downtown location, but will most likely not return.

Visiting family members always demand to return to this place, and I dont blame them! We also visit occasionally for special occasions. Its a great stop before heading westbound into the mountains, or just strolling through Old Colorado City. I have to admit, Ive only tried the Croissant Sandwiches. Since theyre so great, I havent been able to tear myself away to try something else. Price is extremely reasonable when you consider a foot-long meal at Subway will likely cost you $10.

This was a very quaint place. I had never been here until some of my family recommended it to me. I enjoy the atmosphere of Old Colorado City and I think La Baguette carries that culture very well. The first time I went there I had no idea what to order and the girl with the glasses was very nice and helped me navigate the menu. I ended up with French Onion soup and a croissant sandwich! Would highly recommend

The best French Onion Soup ever! Comes with a hearty portion of french bread and real butter. Yum. I like that they have a kid friendly platter of fruits and cheeses making it easy to have kid food AND grown up food. I make it a point to come here more than once on every trip I make to Colorado Springs. It doesnt hurt that theyre two doors down from a great yarn store!

Took an out of town guest today. After bragging that this is the best onion soup, anywhere, we both were a little disappointed with the lack of cheese on top of the soup. I told my friend that usually the cheese on top is over-flowing and baked onto the crock. Not today, hardly enough cheese to cover the top of the soup. I am hoping this was just a bad batch.

Whether stopping in for lunch or just to pick up bread for the week, I have never been disappointed by this bakery. The French onion soup is the best Ive ever had and the desserts are mind blowing. I love taking guests here. Dont forget to pick up a fresh loaf of bread...the friendly staff will slice it for you while you wait.

Second time there... rolls are great and come with basically everything. Just had their butter squash ravioli for $8.95 and it was as delicious as it was appealing to the eye. Counter guy=cool. Counter girl=not so much. If it wasnt for her blank stare and 0 response saying hi or thank you then I would probably give 5 stars.

Major disappointment I came in with my wife for an anniversary lunch because we have really enjoyed it over the years but the quality was terrible. Since when did they stop putting onions in their French onion soup. The croissants were dry and tasteless. Until they go back to their roots I wont return!
