Compared to other ice creameries, Cold Stone’s prices are slightly higher than its competitors, but what it lacks in price comparability, it makes up in a decedent variety of unique ice cream and sorbet flavors. On the occasions that I felt only the best ice cream would satiate me I went to Cold Stone and was generally pleased, until yesterday, where it took me almost forty five minutes to receive my order. I was shopping at Old Navy when I saw the Cold Stone poster advertising buy one get one free ice cream. The promotion offer, advertised heavily at Old Navy clearly stated that Creations, milk shakes and smoothies were buy one get one free with the presentation of an Old Navy Receipt. I saw this advertisement, quickly finished my shopping at Old Navy and then went to Cold Stone which is in walking distance from the Old Navy retail store. Store # 65 (14239 W. Colfax Ave. Lakewood CO, 80401 USA) is the store location where my incident occurred. The very first thing that caught my senses was the familiar smell of fresh waffle cones, the second was the sight of the enormous line which I assumed was full of buy one get one free hopefuls. It was not, the line was actually held up due to the fact that only one person was working on a Sunday afternoon and a very disgruntled customer was holding up the line. The young lady placed an order for a cake which I only assumed was supposed to arrive that day. Instead the cake was mysteriously missing and the young customer, after forty five minutes, received three ready-made cakes in replacement of her missing special order one. During this time a young employee walked in and went behind the counter, in hopes to alleviate the growing line. I patiently waited until he asked me what I would like. My first response was the question of what was included ( other than the Creations, smoothies, and milkshakes) in the buy one get one free promotion offered though Old Navy. He told me he didn’t know then asked the other employee (who was busy helping the missing cake situation) about the offer. I was then told that only Creations were included in the promo. I told the employee that I was sure milkshakes and smoothies were included because of the advertisement I saw at old Nay that same afternoon. I then asked him if the store had any advertisements I could look at to double check. He responded with a blunt no. I smiled politely and left the crowded creamery and walked back to Old Navy where I asked to borrow the advertisement to prove the extent of the special offer. When I came back bearing the advertised poster I was met with gross indifference by both employees. One employee ignored me and did dishes while the other struggled to get my order (I was ordering for a family of six). When I asked for the smoothies he didn’t offer me the free boost, nor did he give me any time to ask for one. He scoffed when I came in holding the advertisement which only furthered my frustration. In these more delicate economic times does the old retail adage “the customer is always right” have any meaning? Is Cold Stone sacrificing customer service for monetary gain? Do customers have to literally borrow advertisements from other fellow retail stores as a form of proof for special offers? I realize now that customer service is what I really want, not under trained employees scoffing at my ability to read advertisements. The next time I think of ice cream on a hot summer day, I’ll never forget the rudeness that I was met with at Cold Stone and I would certainly not recommend this ice creamery to my friends, who like me take pride in saving a bit of money and enjoy promotions that are not met with hostility and any question of integrity. Thank you for your time.

A truly great place. Sure there are times when-occasionally-the lines are long and the wait is almost unbearable, but the ice cream is worth it. I have only worked there for a week and Im still learning the tricks of the trade but the people are REALLY nice and we all try our best to please the customers. We dont want to rip people off, and some of us do agree that the prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for. And, every store is different. Every store has a different crew and not all of them accept the promotions going on in other stores. Stuff happens in these kinds of stores sometimes. A good customer can be disgruntled but should also roll with the punches like us workers have to. Sometimes we have no idea what to do because a situation has never come up before. All we can do is say a very sincere "Sorry" and do the best we can to fix the problem. We want to make the customers happy, but sometimes things cant go the way any of us-the customers or the workers-want it to go. So this specific store is GREAT. It truly truly is. And another thing, every one deserves a second chance. If we messed up once, we have learned from it and we will make sure not to let it happen again. We love our customers because theyre great people that want some ice cream, not because they come to spend their money.

THIS Cold Stone has to be the biggest disappointment in the Denver area. Whenever we crave ice cream, we always get excited to stop by Cold Stone, but this location has us leaving so disappointed every time - wondering why we keep coming back here. Its obvious management doesnt like their job, we feel like were inconveniencing them when we give our business, theyre always so stingy (I cant emphasize this one enough), and the overall vibe stinks. If they were their own business, the doors wouldve been closed a long time ago. Theyre still alive only because they carry the Cold Stone brand. Im not a grumpy customer that had a bad experience or two. Weve been to this one 10+ times, and its my own fault we keep going back. At the Park Meadows location, they greet you when you walk in, sing as they make your ice cream, theyre so generous with helpings, and overall go out of their way to make it a good experience. People, continue to support Cold Stone, its good dessert, just avoid this branch!!!

Visited this location last saturday to redeem my ice cream cake that was awarded to me October of 2016. The owner Anjali Sarwal was very rude and unprofessional, She told me that I have a free ice cream cake that I can pick up anytime and when I tried to pick it up last saturday for a birthday I was invited too then the machine was broken and she had no way to look up my account. When I sent her a copy of part of the texts back in October of last year to show her our conversation and she was just unprofessional. They never have a manager on staff and spent 45 min waiting on a response that the machine is broken and had to wait until monday to see what she could do. BTW this reward machine was never fixed since last year...! No professionalism I wouldnt go back there at all...!

I ordered online and guess what it is more expensive than in the store for some stupid reason. So I wanted to cancel my order and just buy some cupcakes out of the fridge just regular stuff that they sell and the lady refused. Anyway she I was charged online $15.99 and the Lady charged $13.99 when I tried to get a receipt I was told I should have got one online and there was nothing she could give me. No the manager just said they charge you fees online and there is nothing they can do. For it being my first time I will never ever go there again.
