Im sure this review will neither be agreed with nor appreciated. We only occasionally go to Denver, and usually eat somewhere in the area we are going. Yesterday (5-6-17) we wanted to try a place we had never been to before so we went to The Bagel Deli & Restaurant, and my daughter and I ordered The Classic Reuben with potato salad. The waitress was less than cordial from the get-go; being closer to curt than anything else. The Reuben came with a very small amount of potato salad which was very good. As for The Reuben itself, it was undercooked and absolutely tasteless. No amount of dressing, salt, or pepper made any difference. It was so bad that we simply could not stand to finish it, and just got the check and left. I have never left so much of a meal behind at a restaurant before. The attitude of the two men up front where you pay your check wasnt any better than that of the waitress. So between the food, the service, and the attitude, this place did, in fact, leave a lasting impression. It was a total waste of money.

I finaly found a Reuben that doesnt skip on the meat. Dont fall victim to a weak sauce Reuben. We have all been there. You look at the menu, and your eyes light up! They have a Reuben! 10 min later you get a half the sammich for about double the price. Imposters! you better listen up, and take note. Please dont call it a Reuben if it looks more like a Panini... These refined sammich wizards at the Bagel Deli stack it tall. You must prepare yourself for this small feast, as it should be feeding a family of three, but youre rockn this one solo. Do you think you can defeat it? Probally not, so go get a pannini... This is more than just a bagel deli. The family owned shop has been running strong for over 50 years. How you may ask? Simple theyre sammich wizards. Cheers to another 50 years. Respectfully,

Ive dined in and taken out here, and never had a bad experience. This place is family-run, casual, and friendly. They are usually pretty quick about service, and serve with a "New York" brusque-yet-charming style. The feel is ultimately one comparable to any classic, Jewish NYC deli (think Katzs). Fair warning to anyone interested in a sandwich: you may be put off by the prices, but the portions are HUGE and completely worth it. Everything on the menu is high quality and packed with flavor. I personally love their egg salad, chopped liver, and pastrami. Their brownies are also homemade, rich, and absolutely to die for (and Im picky about my brownies). The only thing Im not a fan of, ironically, are the bagels. I dont find them particularly special, but they serve as a decent bagel when you need one.

Great food, which seems always consistent. Have never been amazed by service, and sometimes let down. Perhaps, this is because they are so BUSY, or just poorly trained. The Deli counter has a bunch of yellng, and youd better check your bag that you got everything, since their system seems to be one busy dude trying to hustle orders. The diner has lots of seating, but not too many servers, which leads to a great experience if you have time. The Decor is kind of dingy, not remodel atmosphere, which seems like the original since opening. This is cool for some, but a paint job would make the place look less like a dirty chinese grease trap. Their saving grace is the owner knows good food, and they have it!

Always busy because they are delicious. Saw an amazing interaction when we went last the day after Christmas. A small child asked one of the owners what Hannakuh was. The owner smiled and went and grabbed a little metal menorah and 9 candles. She explained to the young girl, her two siblings, and parents about how the candles are lit and in what order, and why. After showing the family about it, she gave the menorah set to the little girl. What an incredible suggestion. She said she was happy the girl asked and was curious about how Hannakuh worked. Loved every moment of it!

I cant believe it took me this long to get to Bagel Deli. When finally getting there... I really enjoyed the matzoh ball soup. Though it could have had more chicken and carrots... the matzoh ball was excellent. Also had some bagel and lox. The lox was very fresh as were the bagels. It wasnt quite as good as being back home in New York... but at least it will definitely hold me over until I get back to New York for my next visit. The service provided by our waiter, Spector, was also excellent. Definitely recommend the place.

Hands down my favorite place to eat in Denver for breakfast or lunch. You seriously cant go wrong with anything on the menu here. The service is low-key but extremely attentive, your drinks shall never run dry. If youre a fan of Reuben sandwiches, youve struck gold. Their Reuben is a mountain of savory corned beef (or pastrami), Swiss cheese , and tangy sauerkraut, between two delicious slices of fresh bread. Ive visited every couple weeks for over a year now, and I simply have nothing but praise.

I was informed by the staff here that were FAMILY here . They meant every word , this is my 2nd visit here the first was months ago. I mentioned after ordering that my previous experience was subpar . The corned beef sandwich was too lean for my taste , I was soon tasting samples of corned beef , and pastrami , lean and fatty. Topped off with a 5 reduction of my meal. Yeah I am leaving here feeling like a Bagel joe. I also believe that I have found my missing Family. Mazel Tov

This place is great. Heard about the huge pastrami sandwich, and thats an understatment. It looks like a new york sky scraper! They have pickled tongue that my wife loves and knishes that are amazing. The owner is a straight east coast deli man. His deli shop is great and the food in the restaurant is fantastic, you have to get the pastrami, its killer. Its a little out of my way, being from Arvada, but its always worth the drive, no doubt.

Have gotten The Bagel Deli & Restaurant here about a dozen times. Really good food. Have to stay on top of the specials they email. Theyre only there for a very short period. The angry turkey sandwich (I think thats what its called) is my favorite. They have parking in the back that most people dont realize and it makes it way easier to get out when leaving than if you try In front. Wish it was closer to Huntington!

Extremely disappointing! I ordered lox on a salt bagel. The bagel was a little dry and chewy. Even more disappointing was the pathetic amount of lox provided. The sandwich was served open face with all toppings on the side. I asked for everything on it so I am not sure why I was served everything on the side and had to essentially make my own sandwich. For a $13/sandwich plus tax this place is a joke!
