The place you go because you are right there, and dont have the energy to look elsewhere...Sad to say but this is probably the lowest quality I have come across so far. To put things in perspective, I dropped almost $100 on a take-out order, to feed friends and family. I drove 15 minutes to try this place because I try to respect places that have been around along time and/or are located in or near the downtown area...what are my impressions? - First, the portions are much less than I would expect in comparison to "the norm" of other places I have eaten (every item failed to remotely fill the container, and the egg fu yung was 2 pancakes where most places provide 3). To offer perspective, I have had Chinese in NYC, DC, SF, Sacramento, and Seattle (to name a few). - Second, the food is so bland as to question if it is flavored (specifically the lo mein). - Third, their use of vegetables is clearly to the point where it is a cost-cutting measure, which is further an issue when considering my first point. I love vegetables, within reason, as long as it is no more that 33% of a dish (again their lo mein) where you wont typically find a lot of vegetables. - Fourth, their work ethic was lacking. In my experience lo meins are fried, or at least cooked together (where the ingredients are cooked or mixed together). I ordered 3 lo meins, one of them spicy. The spicy one was basically them providing me the spices in a cup for DIY, and all 3 were lazily layered with noodles, then vegetables, then meats, then possibly some sauce or flavor (again so bland I couldnt detect any soy sauce, sesame, or other flavor). - On a positive note: their sesame beef had a nice flavor, as did their egg fu yung. Their fried rice was fried. Their timeline for pick-up was swift, and the place was nice and quiet on a Friday after work.

We recivied hot towels when we arrived along with hot tea. Then the 3 of us each ordered a lunch special, all with egg drop (or egg flower) soup, then we recieved meals (all with egg roll). Out meals were assorted fried rice, s&s chicken with fried rice, and Mongolian beefr with fried rice. It was all very good (as it has been for the MANY MANY years - my mom took my brother and I (before she past in 2001), and we go for her bday and other things like that - in her honor since, or like last week when I just wanted more great food since her June bday, so I chose it for my belated bday too! Though they have new management -its still great service, food, and kind people. They also have the balance, so you feel cared for-not bothered! I really dont like when we are trying to have a conversation and cant get anywhere with the "Are you still oks?" -especially when we have full drinks and have been asked if everything is correct and tastes good with our food. They have found a great balance!

Ive been here plenty of times and every experience is great. I have compared this place to many Chinese restaurants and others cannot compare to the price and quality that I receive here. The staff is great and I give them props for always being short handed and working in the busy scenarios that I have seen them in. They also try to accommodate for any mistakes they have made without any hassle except on our part. The warm towels are my favorite! Its such a great welcome. I ordered sesame chicken and fried rice and I found both to be really good. The other people that had accompanied me had different platters but were all also pleased with their food. Thank you so much for existing!!! Will continue to come!!!!!!

Read the reviews and saw some negative, but decided to try it anyway. BIG MISTAKE. Had takeout. It smelled like urine and there was an abnormally gross amount of pepper in the rice. Who puts this much pepper in rice?! Now this morning, extremely sick and will call the restaurant to see about getting my money back. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE FOOD. I will NEVER go back. The smart thing to do is listen to your senses!! STAY AWAY from this restaurant!!

20 years ago, my wife and I used to frequent a Chinese restuarant in Los Angeles because they had the best Mu-Shu Pork around. Then the chef left and it went to hell. We found out where he went! Not really, but I swear it tasted just as good. Another review commented on the tacky decor and Id agree, but if you want GREAT FOOD this is your place. Oh, and my family of 5 stuffed ourselves for under $30. Where else can you do that? Delicious!

I have loved going here with my mom for years and for the past 16 years since she passed away in 01 we go in her honor, but without the emotional connection we would go anyway the food is great! I do wish they delivered it to where I live and delivered soup - because if I remember right I read somewhere they dont deliver soup but Im not certain (maybe it was to-do orders?) since they dont deliver here, if anywhere, I dont know.

This place is amazing, I decided to try it for the first time today because it was very close to work. The prices seemed pretty fair when I looked it up online but they are modest, extremely modest for the quantity and quality of food that you get. Dont get me wrong this place is not a blow your socks off type of experience but it is really good, consistent food, at a good price. I will be eating here a lot more from now on :)

Travelled from the pike peek cog rail ride, experienced hot and cold weather. the waitress handed a warm towel, and a pothot tea. It just warm my heart. the restaurant put white peppers ( not black peppers) shaker on the table. Very authentic! We ordered Chinese soup and the waitress suggested chinese vegetables. Thats exactly what we need. Warm, tasty and friendly place.

Fast, friendly, delicious. What more could i ask for? The servings were large. For 6.50 lunch special (beef brocolli) i got a large 12" plate full of the entree, fried rice, and a crispy spring roll. With egg drop soup and complimentary hot tea (jasmine) and water. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was very hot and very fresh. Highly recommend this place!!

Our entire family and most friends have been eating here for over 20 years. We have lived in Asia and know how real Chinese food should taste. This is the BEST Chinese restauraunt we have been to in the United States! Our out of town family makes it a point to eat here every time they are in town. Dont leave without trying the hot and Sour soup. BEST EVER, ANYWHERE.

I have been coming to this restaurant a lot over the years and always get quality service from everyone here. The food always taste great and plentiful. I suggest for special occasion on or around valentines day the peking duck. It is the best I have tasted but you have to give them a couple days advance notice so they can have it here fresh.
