I usually dont write bad reviews but Derek, "the boss" deserves this one. I ordered a chimichanga and asked if it can be made with half chicken and have ground beef. The waitress informed me the boss gets mad with substitutions but she will ask. I said ok, Ive had it made here that way before but if not then just ground beef. It came back looking over-fried and was made with shredded beef. I let the waitress know. She returned and said the boss refuses to remake it because he already made it at a special request. It was made wrong and was their fault because I specifically said ground beef twice. We were so dumbfounded by the blatant refusal that we looked at the rest of the dinners and decided it wasnt worth it. None of my kids were able to eat and my husband only ate a few bites of his meal. $40 for poor service and food. The horchata tasted like watered down powdered milk and the rice was way too salty. On top of that, there were no changing tables in the restrooms. We wont be going back or recommending this place to anyone.

The Bean Bandit on Circle Dr. in Colorado Springs has been a fixture since Ive been in high school (no, Im NOT going to tell you when I graduated - its been over 30 years for sure!). I drop in for a great Mexican lunch or dinner whenever I can and I am always delighted with the food and the service. Plus, theyre never too busy to bring an extra bowl of chips and dip in addition to the great burritos! They may be kind of out of the way but the food is great, the service is even better and the prices are very reasonable. Go to the Bean Bandit - I know youll be glad you did!

In all honesty, Im not sure how this is still a restaurant and in business. My sister and I ordered fajitas, she order chicken I ordered steak. I dont mind the wait. It happens. However, they handed me the combo fajita plate and I informed her that was not what I ordered. And for the two of us, gave us 2 tortilla and then came back to give an additional 2 tortillas. The beans... Taste like freeze dried and they just add water. And their rice was a pile of mush comparable to baby food.

Ive been here a few times and its okay but recently I called them to order carry-out. I did not have a menu so I was asking some questions the lady working put the phone down and said, "God! These people call for carry-out and they dont even know what they want!" This is true...I did not know their menu and had some questions before I ordered. Needless to say I told the lady that I had heard her bad mouthing me and told her we would not be doing business there anymore.

I have been to this place multiple times throughout my life and this last time was by far the worst. The blonde waitress candice was definitely on drugs and I had to ask 3 times for items that went with my meal and still never received them... to top it off they were still on the bill! She was definitely very friendly but overall I would never recommended this place due to the events.. food was not as good as it used to be so its not worth the trip.

Always love the food here. Free chips and hot & mild salsa. 2-for-1 margaritas from 3-6 PM. Prices are good, especially for lunch. They do not allow substitutions on menu items (ex. a chalupa instead of taco), but there are so many menu options that this doesnt really matter. Family owned and operated since 1966. If you are a regular, you become family. My family has dined here since 1995. Also, best sopapillas!

This place. Oh my god!!! ❤❤❤ you drive by this place and youre initial thought is you arent so sure about eating there. Then you go inside and this place is beautiful. And dont even get me started on the food. This was by far the best Mexican food Ive had. Oh my god! Its food heaven. Bean Bandit you just gained a new regular customer.

The Tex-Mex food is always fresh and the service is quick and friendly. My favorite item is the chile rellenos, but what my daughter loves most is that they dont put onions in anything unless you ask them to. The prices are reasonable and I have yet to eat an entire meal on one sitting. I would definitely recommend it.

My favorite Mexican restaurant by far! Ive been eating at Bean Bandit since I was a kid in the 70s! The great quality food, atmosphere and service have remained the same all these years! Gotta get the hot green chile on whatever I order.....and a couple margaritas of course!

The food was alright I had better. The service sucked I guess if you were in a crowd it would be ok but I was alone and myself being a server before I would do my best for all the tables I had. I would have left a great tip if the service was good.

Stopped in for their lunch special and was totally disappointed. The special was a burrito for around $11.00. Ive received received better food for a lot less from many of the food trucks. Wont be going back there!

Love it. Sad it took us so long to venture inside. Great service and even better food. Closest to real New Mexico food we have found in Colorado Springs. And Beverlys tamales are fantastic.

The food was only average. The meat was very salty and everything else was just bland. Their "salsa" is more like spaghetti sauce. Overall, I was disappointed but it wasnt terrible.

Bean Bandit is as close to old Mexico as as you can get in this town. No Taco Bell here. Great food better price and some of the friendliest people around. Viva BB!!!

This is not Mexican food. It was bland and had no spice. The salsa tasted almost like pizza sauce. On the flip side, the service was good.
