Wow. Just wow. Im not one to often write reviews, but Mi Casa managed to impress me on many fronts. Upon entering the establishment, my family and I were greeted by the sight of a long hallway crammed with people, many sitting on the floor, as if we had just entered a high school clinic after it got out that the starting quarterback has an STD. Obviously the occupants of the hallway had occupied the space for a long duration of time as trivia games and charades apps had been broken out; an act usually only seen in theme park lines. After giving our name to a hostess sporting a PINK pj top, displaying the accepted casualness of the restaurant, we were told the wait would be an hour. An hour later we returned from a walk around town, assuming we would have a short wait. Inspired by our fellow hallway occupants, we broke out the charades, discovered the only common knowledge between our family is Disney characters, and slowly became the only people in the lobby of the restaurant. The time was 8:30pm, a half hour before the restaurant closed. Concerned, my father spoke to the hostest and instead of receiving any useful information concerning the wait time, only received an offer for our removal on the wait list. About ten minutes later we threw in the towel and decided to return home. At 8:53 we received the notice that our table was ready. While Im sure some possess the cabibility to create five-star meals in seven minutes, Im sure all workers would rather return to their homes as soon as they could than try to please one set of customers. Im sure the food is lovely but unless you have nothing better to do or have a hobby of waiting lines, I would find somewhere else to eat.

When approaching this establishment you get the feeling that youre going into your standard Mexican bar/restaurant. They do not accept reservations, so a wait is definitely inevitable, but they do accept call ahead seating. Be prepared to be trapped in the buliding, if you leave the table ready device deactivates. On the plus side, our wait time was half what we were told. The seating situation was a little cramped where we were sitting, but it was nothing intolerable. Atmosphere played a good part in the overall feel of the restaurant as the ambience was quite nice, and the little booths in the alcoves were pretty cool. Service was fairly prompt but could have been better - there where several times we found our drinks completely empty. The appetizers were very good. I would highly recommend the tableside guacamole and the salsa was excellent, but I hope you like it spicy. I was not very impressed however with the entrees. The fajitas could only be described as pathetic in size, and the tortillas that came with them were almost hard as a rock, but they tasted alright. The portabello torta could be compared to something you bought in a gas station, the bread was so soggy you could not even pick it up and flavor was almost absent. The elk enchiladas however were quite good. Prices were average and you get what you pay for with some dishes, others not so much. Overall I would say if you want the same old Mexican experience you can get anywhere, this is the place for you.

If I could give this place a -10 stars I would. Worst service, rude staff, and the most disgusting food I have ever had. I honestly did not think you could mess up making mexican food, but this place did. Their "Free" Salsa was horrible....tomatoes, onions, & peppers were not even chopped up & the taste was also nasty. The beans tasted like they were from a can & about 10 days old. The rice was sooo over cooked that was nearly the consistency of mashed & whipped potatoes. Oh and the tacos that I ordered were absolutely disgusting. (Sadly, Del Taco has better tacos than this place) I ended up throwing up when we got back to our hotel. DO NOT be deceived by these 4 stars on Google...if you check out the reviews on Yelp, they are actually more accurate in regards to how disgusting this place is. Save your money....and do not eat this overpriced vomit worthy food. I sure hope a Health Inspector visits this place soon!!!

The food was pretty tasty, with the exception of the Verde salsa (really salty) which comes with two other salsa varieties and a bowl of chips. We were seated outside, and the table was pretty dirty with salsa stains, something sticky that I couldnt identify pen marks and a little actual dirt. It didnt get wiped down before or after we were seated and we had to request cutlery after the food was delivered. They were wrapped in a napkin and put on the dirty table. There were assorted branches and bird droppings on the porch which looked like it had not been cleaned for a while. The bathroom stall lock in the mens room was broken. It swings open if you try and close it. One of the faucets also does not work, and there was a lot of wet toilet paper on the floor. It was very clear that the toilet had not been cleaned in a while.

it seems like so many of the nice restaurants in Breck are stuffy and pretentious joints but thats not the case here. The Mexican food has great flavor and big spice. Our waiter was slow and inattentive most of the evening but perked up and was kind when he dropped off the check. hmm. The food was outstanding the the place is filled with a great crowd of skiers and socialites all enjoying a great wintery night in Breck. The table was a bit small for our party of 8 and we all felt a bit cramped as the waiters scurried by behind our chairs that seemed to be situated just far enough out to be in the way. It also took awhile to get seated but thats to be expected in a tourist town like this. I also really liked the huge selection of beers they had that went beyond your normal mexican import fare.

Allergy alert! We had two great experiences where staff seemed very knowledgeable about cross contamination, but today I explicitly shared I had a corn allergy, and was given a corn tortilla for the enchilada/veggie burrito combo I ordered. Then, when they redid the order (very quickly and politely) they fixed the tortilla issue but the veggie burrito was filled with corn! I shared with our waiter that I was concerned that future allergic customers should be alerted that the veggie burger contains corn and he didnt really seem to be taking it seriously. They didnt offer to make any reparation for the inconvenience. Too bad, since weve previously had good experiences here.

Amazing food and service! We arrived after a long day of skiing. Im not a good skier, so it was a lot of hard work. My overweight spouse was sweating like a beast. I was famished. My wife even more hungry. We love food from chilis so we thought wed try some mexican food. Now i cant pronounce or spell anything we had, but it was all amazing. Our waitress Samantha, was very beautiful, energetic and happy to help us with ordering. My wife hit it off with her and we stayed after our meal to try some drinks. Wish i could say what we had, but it was all in spanish. Happy that Samantha never commented on how sweaty my wife was. We will come back and i recommend you do too!
