Time: 12:30 pm PST 16 Apr 2012: Price: Good. $9.99 for buffet (10.77 total with tax) drank water. Good selection. No Curry shrimp this day. Okay, first the bad...location? Industrial, convenient, but industrial section. Entries are confusing. One in back which enters into a bar/lounge looking area, one closer to street which is the main dining area. Next, decor. Lighting cozy, tables nice, silverware and plates, very nice but needs warmth and personality. Quiet, echoey, lacking wall art. Now the good. Service: Good. Friendly, responsive. Tattooed server very sweet, intimidating looking but sweet and responsive. Others good as well. Now the food. Temperature: Good. A couple of items not super hot, but everything else was good. Be careful grabbing the tongs. The handles are sitting right over the gaps in the table where steam comes out. Could be a bit hot. Flavor was very good. Texture: meat moist (except for one of the chicken dishes. Smokey flavor was great just a smidge dry), rice good. A couple of uncooked grains snuck in my dish, no cracked tooth though. GREAT flavor on the Butter Chicken and other stuff. About 12 or more dishes to choose from. All hot and looked great. Curry lamb good/great. At first dished appeared watered down but no cause for alarm. All good. The tortilla things served with were a smidge oily on the buffet bar but the fresh ones at the table were good. Overall, great first impressions. Id go back. Not the best Ive had but, its Yuba City. Remember that. For the record, Ive lived all over the globe and this food is being compared to more international cities. Not just the area. Id recommend it.

I hated Indian Food until i was dragged kicking and screaming to the Taste of India. I didnt think i could enjoy Indian food, but i loved it!! I was very surprised that I would, but im so glad i did. I have opened a whole new world of fod to my taste and I love it!! Cant say enough god things about Taste of India, the people are sweet and the food is great. Try it. I usually just go on the weekends for the Saturday Buffet.

I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and Nan. It was a niced sized portion with a creamy sauce, and came with rice. I ordered the nonspicy which was right for me. I found the sauce a little sweet for my taste. I miss the old days when they were on bridge street and served their dishes with sides. The sweetness seems like theve dumbed down their tastes to us nonindian folks. I dont think it taste as authentic anymore.

Excellent. We had the buffet lunch on a Saturday. Although not many people were there, the buffet was fresh and topped up - with a wide variety of choices. The mixed vegetable and dal makhani were very good. A friendly greeting when we arrived and good friendly service throughout. Nice decor, very clean. 5 stars all the way.

not worth the price $11.99 for lunch buffet. Ill try only "Once" I went to "Little India" near Dollar tree store. Food isnt much different but price is 1/2 different ($5.99 for lunch buffet). They also have lots of sweet desert/bake which arent on the buffet but I dont like sweet anyway. Ill go back for food again and again

This is the best indian restaurant in Yuba City. Weve eaten there probably around 10 times and the food is always absolutely delicious!!!! Great lunch buffet!! Every time weve friends come over out of town, we always take them there because they also have a nice bar with big screen tv s all around. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

After reading the reviews of this restaurant we decided to try it for some take-out - only to find its closed on Mondays! Will definitely try to get there when its open in future but a warning that the times listed on google arent up to date. I wish these restaurants would make their own websites!

I had a very bad stomach for a whole day ruining all appetite & mood after I had some food at the buffet. Why is the roasted chicken so stale & oily, why is goat so chewy? And for F sake, who puts puris in a buffet? Rotis would be a more decent, classy & standard Indian choice.

This place is a little pricier than the other Indian places in town, but it is much more upscale. The food is tasty and the staff is friendly. Come for the lunch buffet if you are hungry and want to try many different dishes, they also do a dinner buffet every other Wednesday.

I like Indian food and visit when I can. Saw Taste of India while I was looking for shoes. I have been to Taste of India in Denver, CO and Spokane, WA. I was delighted with the food and service. The restaurant was quiet and looked very new. I really enjoyed myself.

My wife and I came here and had the lunch buffet. We probably should have ordered from the menu. I think the food would have been better. The staff was friendly and everything, I just wasnt impressed by the buffet quality.

Best Indian cuisine in N. California that I know! Great buffet with a huge variety if choices includes Chai tea. Go there monthly and take all my visitors there. Ambience elegant and staff very pleasant. .

Definitely worth while. This was my first experience with Indian food and it was fantastic. I tried most everything at the buffet and it was all great. Not super busy and not sure why. I will definitely be back!

Delicious food. If you are new to indian food, theres a buffet served at lunch. Theres small variety of food, however, the butter chicken I excellent. Service is good for a buffet. Nice environment and decor.

Food is great, attentive service, and nice atmosphere. It is a nice relaxing place - although you can hear everyones conversations, it is like a typical restaurant so its not overwhelming. Will be going back!

The papri in the chaat was stale. The tandoori chicken was tasteless and colored with red food dye and the channa masala was lacking flavor. But the waiters were super nice.
