I Cant remember the first time i ate there ... due to being only 3 months old .... i will say ive been to a lot of restaurants in my 34 years ,.... this is by far my favorite.. great prices, friendly staff and Grandma (the owner) has always been a sweetheart .... ive said it before "If I was on death row and had to choose a last meal .... AMACHI would be it! .... try the Family combo A ... Great prices and the best Tempura Ive Ever had!!!!

amachi is a japanese restaurant in uptown whittier. the service is quite good. it is run by a japanese family so they are very friendly (especially to newcomers who have never tried japanese food). the serving sizes and prices are decent. its a great place to go out with your family, although their restaurant is small and their operating hours are not as long as you may like (open until like 5 in the afternoon).

This Japanese restaurant is fantastic in many ways. The atmosphere and setting is relaxing and cozy, the service is great, the food is phenomenal, and it is cost-efficient. I certainly plan to visit this place again in the future. Terrific.
