For all the hype surrounding Dai Ho, I left the restaurant underwhelmed. I think they get better press than the overall quality and quantity of food that they serve. Theyre known as the top restaurant to get cold noodles and dan dan mian, but I really dont understand why. I actually have been hearing good things since college, but because the hours are so limited and there are days when Dai Ho isnt open, I didnt get a chance to catch them at the right time. But when I was working, my boss brought their cold noodles for my co-workers and me and it was good - when are cold noodles not good? - but nothing out of the park. It was actually quite ordinary. There isnt anything to go along with that $5 cold noodles (all they give you is peanut sauce, garlic sauce, and hot sauce) and some sliced cucumber or something. Sinbala, A&J, even Bean Sprouts had more interesting and tasty cold noodles than Dai Ho. And all I could taste afterwards was the garlic taste in my mouth the rest of the day. Meh, I really love cold noodles, but I dont think I would get it from Dai Ho on a regular basis. If you want to add things to your food, you can order specialty side dishes that come prepackaged on top of their refrigerator in the store. Seriously ... around $9 for bean curd, green onion, cilantro, and some slices of beef. Was it worth it? Nope. Was it good? Meh. When we came another time, the woman actually encouraged us to order some spicy type of bean curd, pork and jalapenos because she had made it special for a customer and had extras for the restaurant. That was $9 and did not taste good. Ive tried their beef noodle soup, which was proclaimed as one of SGVs top beef noodle soup restaurants but I was completely underwhelmed. While the noodles were good and there was a good amount of beef, I didnt like the broth too much. It was a little too spicy for my liking and I like spicy foods. Their dan dan mian was just okay for me, but Im generally not a fan of dan dan mian. Overall, you can expect a wait if youre dining in the restaurant. There are only a few tables, and despite how quickly the kitchen works at getting your food out, the wait can range from 10 to 30 minutes. Parking lot in the back, but it fills up fast, so try to find street parking if possible. Cash only! tl;dr overall, just a "meh" for me. Didnt find anything outstanding about the food here and I dont think Id come back if I knew there was a wait for a table.

I ate at this place recently and i love it!! jajangmien from this place is the best and i would suggest that you ask for spicy oil from them. But what i hate about this place is their business hours. they only open during lunch. from 10am - 3pm if i not mistaken. i would give them 5 stars if they open 8 hours...

Beef noodle soup here is delicious. Noodle texture is chewy yet perfectly soft. Large selections of appetizers and small plates.
