We took our family visiting from Europe here on Sunday for a farewell dinner. We sat in the dining room. The service was slow, the food came out one partial dinner at a time (spread out over a one hour period!) My daughter received half her dinner (her California roll was promised "shortly") and my cousins tempura was delivered sans sauce. When we complained, the manager made up a host of excuses and offered his "employee discount." For a disasterous evening? I think not! The one and only sushi chef was so busy entertaining three drunks at the sushi bar (who, by the way, were leering at and saying lewd, rude comments to and about our three teenage daughters) that he could not keep up with the volume of orders. Patrons were leaving left and right. There was a 5 year old boy sitting at the table behind us who shouted, "Excuse me, where iss my salmon sushi?" The waiter didnt respond. When the childs father was fed up enough to leave, the little boy boldly asked the sushi chef, "Excuse me, wheres my salmon sushi???" Poor thing probably had to settle for a Filet-O-Fish from McDonalds. If you like commercial Japanese that lacks in service and quality, this is your place. For me, its Sayonara, Shogun!!!

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Today was the very first time Ive ever had a negative vibe. I called ahead to make reservations but ran about 10 mins late due to traffic. We had to wait about 40-50 minutes before we finally got seated. I was very disappointed the way the host & hostesses handled their waiting list. However, as we were leaving the manager; Taylor Vela apologized for the long delay and handed us a certificate for a free dinner. I really appreciate him going above & beyond to gain our business back. I truly love bringing my family here and love the food and ambiance Shogun, Pasadena has to offer. Thank you Taylor for keeping me & my family loyal Shogun costumers! Weve only been coming here for 20+ years, :)

They got roaches in general area where you eat, lord knows how dirty it is in the back where food and dishes are stored... Went alone for lunch, decided to have Sushi at the Sushi bar. Ordered my food and drink, as the first dish came out, while waiting on second one a roach decided to run up next to my plate, and hang out beneath it! Had a seaweed salad before this happen, seaweed was yellow and dry instead of being green and fresh... Luckily i didnt get sick, because i did have 2 sushi rolls before the roach came out to say hi. I didnt get charged for anything, however I did end up hungry....

Definitely recommend reservations here. Ordered the Imperial dinner. Chicken, beef, and shrimp with grilled veggies, onion soup and a salad with my favorite ginger dressing. I liked the other two dressings, except this time the pink dressing tasted like it had too much mayo. My friends and I have been coming here for years. We celebrated a couple of birthdays and they sang to our group and gave paper Samurai helmets.

My family has been coming to this restaurant for more than 20 years. The food is always fresh and prepared to your exact taste. It is absolutely delicious! The service is always very pleasant and quick. I have never ever had a bad experience here. I also love that no matter how busy they are, they seat you very quickly...even on Valentines day!!! My kids (9 & 12) love it too. They enjoy the show and seafood!

Love the sushi bar. Jimmie and Robin are great sushi chiefs. Fish is always fresh and the have some great suggestions. Manuel is a great server. Always on his game. Most of the staff nows what we want when we come in so there really is no waiting for service. They can be busy at times and you may have to wait but it is always worth the wait. Great place for a birthday or any other type of celebration.

The food was very good, but the server was horribly bad. I would give 4 or 5 stars if our server wasnt so bad. He didnt bring out our appetizers and when we asked about it he said "you didnt order that" Iand was, pretty rude. He brought all our food out at different times, so half our party was done when the other half finally got their food. (There was only 3 of us)

“Good food and lots of it” Three of us went to the Parkway Grill on a Sunday. The place was packed, and I am happy that I made reservations. The waitress was prompt and helpful. The food was good and plentiful. My wife had the fried catfish --- an entire fish.

“Great place, good cook on well done filet” This place is usually on the spot. My wife likes well done meat, so we experience lots of problems. This place does a good job keeping a well done cook not burned. Service is usually good. A little pricey.

Just called to order for pick-up, a untrained and Horribly rude employee says "we wont take your order for pick-up", I asked why the rude attitude and when did "not taking phone orders start"?, She HUNG UP the phone. Wow thanks Shogun employee.

The Teppan chefs dont seem to be very in to their jobs here. When I used to go to Shogun years ago, they were always fun and exciting. Theyd do more with their "show". Now youre lucky if you see an egg tossed in the air or a volcano onion.

Decent food, but be ready for nightclub music when your cook shows up! The chicken teriyaki was a little bland, but the filet mignon was very tender. Our cook Anthonny was nice, but less enthusiastic than others weve had before.

Parkway Grill was the perfect place for my sister and I to have lunch and discuss some delicate family matters. The atmosphere is quietly elegant and the food is upscale. The wait staff is always very welcoming and unobtrusive.

Though owned by the same people who own Arroyo Chop House, this restaurant falls a measure short. Its still very good, but the place isnt as beautiful, not as welcoming, and the steaks are not up top its sister high standards.

I had the beef short rib with mashed potatos and it was amazing. My wife had the shrimp skewer and it was OK,, but a bit too spicy for her taste. The drinks are always good as is the service.
