Ive been hearing great things about this place for several months now so when I had the chance, I had to try it. I came here around 8pm on a Saturday night and there were only two other groups there, which is not a good sign. Regardless, I wanted to taste their food. I ordered a side of Crabcakes with curry aioli to start.Then, I ordered the Deadly Combo, which comes with the choice of 2 tacos, truffle/garlic fries, and a soda all for only $10! I choose the Komodo 2.0 and the Loko Modo for my tacos and truffle fries. I also upgraded my soda for their lychee lemonade for only $1 more. The upgrade is definitely worth it. Their lychee lemonade is very refreshing and with just the right amount of lychee favoring. As an added bonus, Komodo offers free refills on their lychee lemonade! The side of crabcakes consisted of 5 tator-tot sized crabcakes and the sauce on the side. The crabcakes were on the salty side and I didnt think there was anything too special about them; probably would not order them again. My tacos came out and it didnt look like much until I picked it up and released it was definitely an overfilled taco, just how I like it. I first tried the Loko Modo and the ground Sirloin was really dry. I didnt like this taco at all because I felt like I could make something similar to this at home. However, the Komodo 2.0 was delicious. I really enjoyed the Southwest corn salad on the taco. The truffle fries were quite tasty too, but not the best Ive had. I think Umami has better truffle fries. Overall, I definitely want to come back and try their other tacos and dishes.

We had 4 tacos, a nacho bowl, a tuna tartar, and a drink. They food is so good... We dont like tacos in general, but we love this place. The nacho bowl is pretty big, better find someone to share with. All the tacos are just awesome. This place also has surprisingly good service. We paid straight after ordering, so we thought theres no real service, so we didnt pay much tips. But we were so wrong. The servers were dressed up, they brought all the orders to our table, cleared our table when we were done with any item, brought us various sauces to try, and answered any question we have. Heart-warming, stomach warming experience on a cold day.

Got a sleu of tacos here. Most were delicious with great flavor and all were unique. We got the Komodo , Asian marinated chicken, signature, MP3, blazin shrimp, and Loko modo. The latter 2 were not as good as the first four with the shrimp one being so so in flavor but with good spice and the Loko modos angus beef being a bit too hard. Otherwise food and service were good. The waiter even offered to refill our homemade watermelon nectar. Truffle and garlic fries were also fresh. We also had a dog with us so the dog-friendly patio is a plus. Parking be difficult though, but we got lucky and found a spot right outside the restaurant.

Incredible! Im amazed by the food here! You can get a burger inside a burrito as a rice bowl. Inception with food? Its here folks, and its here to stay. The atmosphere is really friendly and the staff is always on top of it to fill your water or take your plates away. The menu is great, and the salsa is phenomenal. My friend wanted to fill up a soda cup of the salsa to take home. It was THAT GOOD. I recommend the MP3 in a rice bowl form. The menu itself is relatively healthy if you get it in a rice bowl with brown rice. Highly recommended!

One of my favorite places to eat. The food looks beautiful and tastes delicious. All the staff are super friendly and the inside is super clean inside with allot of tables inside and outside. I usually get a MP3 burrito if im hungry or 4 tacos if im not so hungry, a side of garlic or truffle fries and one of their house made drinks (Try all of them there all amazing, free refills too!). They also have about 4 side sauces try all of them i love them all but my favorite is the jalapeno aioli.

Oh yeah - this is a place for some quick, tasty treats. Dont be turned away by the fairly stark interior, or ordering system. Instead, grab a menu, order whatever you think looks good (it will be), sit down, chat with friends, and enjoy the food when it arrives. The food is fresh, full of flavour, and is does a fantastic job at bringing some new flavour combinations to your palate. If youre in Venice, and you want something quick and tasty, stop here!

Komodo is about a half mile from Abbot Kinney and walking distance from the Google Venice Campus (Binocular Building). If you are familiar with the Komodo truck, then you are familiar with Komodo. This is the restaurant that originated from the truck. They specialize in Asian Fusion food such as tacos, burritos, and rice bowls. Ordering is as simple as choosing the ingredient you want and which food format you like that in.

We tried it all! Faves were the Kimchi Nachos! It reminded of of a baked artichoke dip flavor but with so much more! Tangy and creamy and yum! Lychee lemonade was crazy addicting. My mom had the Ponzu Salmon and we had tacos and burritos. Random find online and the best part of our day trip to the beach! Great staff- cute and fun, and fun and simple decor.

Delicious food especially the sauce! Asian-Mexican Fusion is delicious especially when it is covered with a fantastic spicy sauce. The sauce truly defines a nice kick that all people should try. A must have is the Lychee Lemonade since it is so unique and different. Very sweet however. Great combos if you are looking for a variety of food!

Dangerously good food, sea food market place dish was out of the world taste. So i ordered it for the second one immediately, the second was one was not as great as the first one with respect to the Sauce that is served with the shrimp. Shrimp taste had consistency. Sauce needs be consistent enough. Overall it was a fantastic dish..

Basically my favorite place in the whole world right now. The flavor combinations are extraordinary. The meat is tastefully marinaded and the sauces are complex and robust. The MP3 is my favorite, but I enjoy all of the different combinations. Just writing this review and thinking about the place is making my mouth water.

PRIME PRIME PRIME were do I start first of all I got the gfc (grannys fried chicken) it was so amazing. I am just a chicken addict now #presidential. My favorite part about PRIME is that you get to wright on the table while you wait for your food.It is a FAMILY environment and all the food was AWESOME

Friendly service, no line, yummy pilaf, homey tomato chicken and cream of chicken w/ mushrooms... YAS! Kind of want to keep this place on the down low so I can just hop in and out with my meal. $10 is not horrible for a 2 entrée, 1 side meal. And it comes with a small salad/tomatoes+onions.

Searched for Venice area restaurants on Goggle Map. Komodo sounded intriguing. Got the Killer Combo of mix and match, four tacos: Asian Marinated Chicken, Blazing Shrimp, Fish & Grapes, and Soi. So yummy! And the refillable, mango citrus drink was refreshing! The service was great, too.
