Alright, strap yourself in for this review... This is nothing but the truth and the whole truth. As you can tell by the photos, there are many concerned patrons who also happen to be craving noodles. This is a given at any Thai restaurant... No surprise there. The first surprise comes with the Elizabeth Taylor movie poster. Maybe Kris Yenbamroong is a big fan of The Only Game In Town? Who knows. PM me if you have any more information on this. Part II My father once told me there are many things to be careful of. One of them was Hep C. Thank God thats no longer the case #Sovaldi. Another thing is availability of wine. As you can tell by the photo evidence, they are out of many bottles of wine, so plan accordingly. I recommend drinking heavily beforehand to compensate. Part III This is were the drama begins. We were eating quite a delicious meal, but things naturally got quite messy. We were each allocated one paper napkin at the beginning of the meal, which was soiled within minutes (see the fifth photo). We asked for more napkins for the table, and were provided with a fresh plate, upon which a single, neatly folded napkin was placed (sixth photo). A single napkin for a table of four?? Apparently Night and Market harvests their own pine trees in the parking lot out back and is worried about running out of paper. People need to chill out about carbon emissions. Fortunately, the table next to us had just left, and had been so kind as to leave their used napkins behind. Like any man with very little self respect, I had no choice but to use the pre-used napkins from the table next to us (seventh photo). This restaurant literally forced me to abandon my remaining dignity and adopt the life of a vagrant. So thank you for that. Part IV This is really just for people who have kids. Be careful if they go to the bathroom. That last photo, which I have purposefully blurred, is a nude woman. That seems inappropriate at best in a family establishment, especially in the hallway leading to the bathroom. What do they think, kids dont go to the bathroom? Ive seen many kids in my day, and let me tell you they all have bladders. Basically if your kid goes to the bathroom here they will be scarred for life and may sustain serious emotional trauma. In summary, great restaurant, fun for the whole family, highly recommended!!!

There are few foods I crave as much as those pigs tails. But thats not the only reason that Night + Market is one of my favorite places to eat. Whether true or not, I love the mythology: that the son of the now defunct old school Thai restaurant turned half of it into a pop-up street food establishment while his parents were away on vacation. The pop-up stayed (or so the story goes) and recently swallowed up the other half of the old restaurant as well. Now the bigger, re-made Night + Market offers some of the old school classics alongside its super-spicy snacks. Often made from odd cuts (like pigs tails and beef tendons), the dishes here are a-typical and excellently prepared. Though the catfish tamale has its devotees, thats not one thats impressed me. My running rut includes: the startled pig; nam khao tod (the fresh ginger makes it); a khao soi thats better than the ones I had in Chang Mai; beef tendon panang (youre going to need more roti, trust me); and khao kluk gapi (oh, that sour sausage makes it so good!). I usually go with a band of chef friends on a Monday or Sunday night. We order an elephant full of Thai beer, the table fills with food, and even though we can hardly hear the person across from us because the acoustics are so bad, we always leave happy.

Ive been to this place twice during their lunch hour with my office. Its usually not very busy during lunch - its only open for that meal Tues, Wed and Thurs - so being seated usually isnt an issue. Their food is great and usually comes out fast. The Thai Boxing chicken tastes awesome and is a decent sized meal for a good price and the sticky rice is amazing. They are pretty accommodating if you want a side or sauce separate from your food. The decor is fun and cute, pink beads hang from the doorway and old Thai records hang on the walls. Sometimes it can be a bit slow when youre trying to pay, but thats because Im always with an office of 8 or more and the waitress is usually on her own if we try and split. It took ages to get our cards and change back the first time we went so now we try and make sure everyone has cash before we go. Still one of our favorite places to get lunch! Good food and good for groups.

Awesome Thai food. The crispy rice salad was amazing. Its indeed spicy and a bit salty, but the textures and flavors work very well. The fried pig tail was interesting, but it wasnt my thing. The pork toro was good, but inconsistent. Some pieces were so charred that it was inedible and some were so incredibly salty. If they could make it consistently a tad less salty and less charred, itd be great. The party wings were a bit of a disappointment as well. Its not bad, its just not amazing. They were average supermarket quality wings. Ive had ridiculously good wings though, so I am biased here (Crisp in Chicago). Service was awesome! The guy bartender who worked on Sunday night was superb. Water was always kept full, and he was very attentive and friendly. He worked the drink orders very quickly as well. Maybe give him a bonus or something, he seems like a great employee.

Visited twice, thought it was good, but completely over hyped. Service was really bad, to a point that not only they charged us for a really bad dish, we received a half empty water bottle as repraisel for it. The salt crusted fish was indeed salty, so salty that it tasted like nothing but salt. The baby squid we ordered to replace it had the consistency of a buble gum and the taste of yesterdays freezer seafood. Really disappointed and really expensive compared to what you get. Its also extremely loud and unpleasant. And the most disappointing thing? Is that you get the exact same food in Thai town for quarter of the price with better service. Highly not recommend.

Went on a Friday night and it was busy, we forgot to make reservations but the hostess got us a table right away. We were a group and ordered the crab fried rice, chicken pad Thai and fried noodle dish. We also ordered cocktails. Everything was amazing and perfectly seasoned, the drinks were also amazing, so tasty and well balanced. The atmosphere was also great, very chill and cool and great service, everyone working there was so helpful and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

The Night Market in silver lake was a good experience. The WestHollywood location had bad service and the food was inconstant. We called ahead, placed our name as we live up the street. Showed up at their requested time, and was told to wait outside for 20-30. After 55 minutes we were seated. We waited another 23 minutes for water and menus. We ordered quickly. Waited over an hour before the first dish came. Not a great experience. If youre gonna eat here, eat at the Silver Lake location.

The cuisine had plenty of flavors. But $2.50 for literally a cup of rice that probably costs $0.10? Plus the meat was likely not usda prime or even choice, very fatty and gristley. Flavor and location is what this place has going for it. Table service was average, but what aggravated me was an empty restaurant and the maitre d adamant about checking our reservation.
