I actually used to live just around the block from this place, but didnt try it until now. Parking is spacious within the back, so no need for street parking! Im not a big fan of Mediterranean food, but I enjoyed a delicious meal here. They give complimentary hummus & pita (which was fresh & warm), and have pretty good service. I got a pita wrap with some sort of sausage- (Sujuk-salccicia). I think it had a great combo of sauces, veggies & meat, although it was reaaally saucy compared to the beef kabob that I tried. I would have preferred it a little less saucy. I tried their Mediterranean coffee, which had a thick grainy coffee residue at the bottom of the small dinky cup, which I couldnt drink. Maybe I just wasnt used to that, but I probably wont be drinking that again. Great place to try out!

by stephen-m What other reviewers have said is true: the decor is from Costco, atmosphere is nonexistent, and John, the owner/head-chef, is not gifted in the social graces. What he IS gifted at is combining spices and other ingredients into very flavorful dishes, presented attractively. I can see why customers would be put off by the owners demeanor; I was too, at first. But Ive been eating at Aristo long enough that John knows me and sometimes stops by my table to talk. Hes not unpleasant; hes just shy. Fortunately, his wife, Sosi, is quite pleasant, as are their children and the other wait staff.

Service was slow: there was only one guy sitting at a table and us but it still took about 10 minutes before we were able to place our order. Food was delicious: I got a gyro sandwich and husband ordered some sort of plate (came with a side of salad). We also received complimentary side dish of hummus in the beginning and slices of orange at the end. By the time we finished eating, we were so full. Although service was slow, we would be coming back for their food.

Whenever I want Mediterranean food, this is my go-to. The guy (possibly the son of the owner?) is SUPER generous. My bf and I werent very hungry when we went, so we ordered just one dish to share. They not only split our dish, but they gave us 2 of almost everything! Kind of like getting two dishes for the price of one! Plus we got free pita/hummus, sides, and baklava! Great food, great service, and free stuff? Amazing.

Great Mediterranean food! Friendly people and the menu is reasonably priced too. The decor is nice, parking a few steps from the door, is next to a renowned besuty salon and a locally favorite pizzeria too, and Aristos is just one block south of the Pacific Coast Highway on Hawthorne Blvd, acrid ther street from a U-Haul rental center at the foothills of Walteria.

“Friendly, relaxed breakfast” A perfect spot right on the water with a great mix of locals and tourists alike. The staff is friendly, the food excellent. The cash-only establishment is a great place to start your day. Great views of the water no matter where you sit, bottomless cup of coffee and tremendous service.

Not only is it the best Mediterranean food you can get in Torrance, I feel its the BEST food you can get in Torrance. Anyone I recommend Aristo Cafe to, automatically becomes a regular. The family and staff always eager to please above and beyond. We never leave unsatisfied. If I had my way, Id never leave!

my favorite spot for mediteranean food! everything is so full of flavors starting from hummus and salad. i usually ordered various kabobs. i must visited this place over ten times and their foods are prepared exactly the same way every time. i just wish this place was closer to where i live.

I first started eating at this resturant a few years ago when I was pregnant. I do believe I dined here everday or just about. I absolutely ove this resturant. The staff is outstanding, the food is absolutely remarkable, and whenever I have Corporate visitors I take them to Cafe.
