Only okay place I expected more from the website reviews. I was disappointed because they dont serve breakfast all day and it didnt say so on the menu nor the website. Be that as it may I ordered a hamburger for $12.50. It came with a salad however the lettuce on the salad was room temperature and was delivered on the same plate as the hamburger. Consequently my burger sat while I ate my salad. The hamburger patty was small and it actually was thinner than the slice of onion that came with it. The meat was dry and tasteless probably because I ordered it medium rare and it came in medium well and sat. I will not order a hamburger again. I am anxious to try the eggs benedict for breakfast Okay, I returned a few days later for the eggs benedict and found it to be equally lacking. The service from Miguel was impeccable but the kitchen has absolutely no concern for the quality of the food they shovel out. The potatoes were cold so I had them replaced. Then I got into the eggs benedict and found that the English muffins were practically raw. I dont believe they own a toaster and they just lightly Grill them on the griddle so that all the edges were slightly brown and the middle totally was raw. Once again I ask for a replacement this time it was only a slight Improvement the muffins were still raw on the inside. I strongly recommend that you just stay away from this place!

My family and I wanted to have brunch in the area before we went our separate ways, and this was the only sit-down option I could find. Sunday brunch is pretty popular here, and I can see why. The decor is nice, but not too fancy. They had a game on so the atmosphere felt a bit like a sports bar. But the food is not worth the wait. My family and I waited over an hour for a table for our party of 5. And the food was so-so. I got the traditional chilaquiles, which means no meat. They were alright, but I will say that it is a generous portion for the price. Service was friendly too. It was very busy in there, but our waiter was attentive and helpful. It looks like there were two parties happening that day, one of which was a baby shower, Its a great space for parties. But if youre dining here on a whim, be prepared to wait, especially for brunch. Otherwise, I dont think the food is worth it. Side note: I have been to the one at Farmers Market in LA for dinner. I had a better dining experience there.

The bartender and the manager are so adept and professional that its worth coming in just to experience excellent service. I had a cucumber mint gimlet, just a perfect antidote to this hot summer day. The food is consistently very good. The tuna tartar which can be terrible in less skilled hands is fresh, simply presented and delicious. The flat iron steak is tender and flavorful - the chimichurri sauce light yet wonderfully spiced is an excellent accompaniment. My only minor complaint is that I used to adore their meatloaf, a guilty pleasure. But for some odd reason they started to serve it with a mauve tomato sauce that is not only ugly, but also doesnt sit well on the tongue. If you order through meatloaf ask them to omit the sauce. Still, come to Marmalade and youre sure to enjoy a lovely meal.

I love the food here and the service is great, too. Sometimes the food can be a little slow to come out, but everything I have had here has been delicious. The food is a little pricy for dinner, but it is so worth it for a treat now and then. Breakfast, on the other hand, is more reasonably priced. The variety on the menu leaves you wondering what you should try because everything sounds so good! They also have vegetarian options, but Im sure you could request for something to be vegan if thats what you want. Regardless of what you choose, Im sure youll love it! Also, if youre looking to save a little money, Groupon often has deals for various locations of Marmalade Cafe.

While my guests enjoyed their meals I made the mistake of ordering from the seasonal specials. The Buffalo cauliflower wings were limp and lacked spice. My main dish was the gnocchi with truffle sauce. Really awful. The plate was warmer than the food. The sauce cold with a congealed skin on top. The gnocchi was fried and hard rather than lightly boiled and soft. They looked like fried caterpillar larvae. Not up to the standards of the other dishes. The server took it off our bill but its obvious the quality control is lacking to allow this on their menu.

I ordered the Coconut Watermelon lime Agua fresca. It was perfect. The coconut subtly brought out the watermelon and made it shine while the lime tied it all together. The pork ragout was also very good. The gluten free pasta was cooked right, the vegetables were interesting and fresh, not too soggy, but still slightly crisp and fresh. The pork was cooked just right and the sauce was a nice complement to it all. Pro tip: Ask for some red chili flakes and parmesan cheese to sprinkle over the ragout for a boost of flavor.

I could of had a better NY steak at Norms, the fish was too salty, the busboy didnt wash his hands after using the restroom, the waitress never came back after dropping off the food, and after we asked where our waitress was, the managers reply was "I dont know where everyone is at" (she was the only one laughing). Now I know why the parking lot is always empty. Not really smart to have a business to carry on like that in this economy. Needless to say the waitress blew that tip.

Tried Marmalade Cafe on a weekend afternoon with my wife and two daughters. Service was disjointed (multiple servers who clearly hadnt communicated with each other), food was a miss (as in missing items when delivered), and all around it wasnt a great experience. We were very hopeful, based on other reviews, that this restaurant would be great. Unfortunately the combination of disrupted service, food mistakes, and general feeling of sloppiness wont have us coming back.
