I have been here a lot and usual being my laptop and a book to read because i really love the environment but my latest experience was really frustrating. I walked in computer bag over the shoulder and book in hand. I order my coffee and find a place to sit where i can set up my computer. I get all setup and get my coffee a few minutes later. About 1 minute after i got my coffee the guy that took my coffee order stats telling us that they are closing right now and that we need to pack up and leave. You could have told me that when i walked in and ordered my coffee before i sat down and setup my computer. Terrible awareness and service when it came to it. I know that he saw me and a few others walk in with computer bags and did bit sat anything about you guys closing in a few minutes, who does that. If your guys are closing at 3 in the afternoon please put a bigger sign on your door that isnt facing the wrong way. Make sure your staff tell your customers before they order, not after they sit down and get comfortable. I politely let the gentleman know that i was a little frustrated and all he said was "sorry, didnt you see the sign on the door?" If he was observant he would know the answer to that question beige he even asked. I want the only person that was frustrated but about 10 other customers were extremely frustrated. Please do a better job with your CUSTOMER SERVICE, it is called that for a reason!

Never been here before until yesterday. The 4 of us came in and ordered a chai tea and 3 cappuccinos in mugs, cups to drink there, whatever as long as its not cardboard or paper cups. She said we could have large or small. When I asked her what size small was she said 12 ozs.We finally seemed to get her to understand what it was we wanted exactly.Theyll bring it out she said.A few minutes later a girl brought out a chai tea in a mug and 3 cappuccinos in 8oz paper cups. When we complained we wanted cups or mugs she said they had run out. Considering the place looked to have a dozen customers at the time including us that was a very poor reason. What made it even worse was even though the coffee tasted good there was barely 5oz of liquid in the cup,the rest was froth.Three small sips and it was all gone. Not impressed!

Good coffee, good eats. *Significant* improvement in customer service from prior years, thank you for getting rid of the surly guys. Good WiFi, ample indoor and outdoor seating, and a bike friendly railing on which to park a rear wheel. Off street parking lot can fill up but its larger than many other coffee houses. Especially recommended : Soup of the day bowl for $4.75, Paninis, Catalina turkey sandwich. The turkey sandwich is huge, delicious, and can be shared. Wi-Fi access: Works well and there are plenty of power outlets, a marked advantage over some of the other local coffee houses. Glad to see this neighborhood coffee shop improve as much as it has, Ill be back more often now.

We were so in love with this place. Its a great atmosphere, and the employees are friendly, until your order is wrong. First the coffee order was wrong and the barista had to remake it. And then we got our sandwiches, and mine was made wrong, (it was supposed to be with bacon) so I asked for it to be fixed, and was told they were out of bacon. Apparently they just substituted without communicating. It had already taken 20 minutes to get our order, so I asked for a refund, and the staff started getting rude. Also, the coffee was bland. I recommend Starbucks. At least you know what youre getting.

Ok Fellas, there are hundreds of coffee places around here, and you should avoid this one. asked for a vanilla, got a hazelnut; also asked for latte and got plain americano. great, of course that was to go and we found out a couple of miles later. The coffee was luke warm and had been on the hot plate all morning. YUK ! we paid 12 (!)$ for that a couple of muffins. GO TO STARBUCKS AND GET A PROPER COFFEE.

OMG, John Park and Francisco are customer service gods. I came in with low expectations and they rocked my coffee and smootie world. Its been awhile since I been to a place that wowed me like that. Seriously I might have to offer them my first born. They are that good...plus I dont want to pay child support but thats another issue that involves baby mama drama. Anywho, they are outstanding.

I like the vibe, comfort and location of this spot. Truly unique among coffee places in this area. Coffee Cartel is close, but not as polished. However the baristas need to know how to make a warm/hot drink rather than a scalding one. Its been a least 10 minutes since I got my drink and I still cant drink it because its too hot. Id rather taste my food later.

It is a cute, cozy place...but Id hate to see it with the lights turned all the way up - Those big comfy chairs look kinda gross in the dark, so bright lights may send some critters scurrying. Coffee was less than warm, so was my breakfast. Service was meh. Meh as in they obviously dont care if I ever come back...and Im not sure that I will!

The employees are super rude and act like Im bothering them by ordering coffee. Its just counter service and they are flat out impolite while ordering. I dont want to return which might reenforce the "its okay to be rude to customers" vibe they have. If it werent for the mediocre drip coffee, I would have no reason to come back.

Definitely one of my Happy places. I often bike here, enjoy a hearty croissant breakfast sandwich, a cappuccino in actual ceramic ware, get some work done thru the WiFi, then head down to the Strand for a ride along the beach. Comfortable atmosphere with sofas and plush chairs inside or patio seating in the sunshine.

Poor service. I asked the cashier if what I was pointed at was a carrot cake and he just looked at me. I bought the cake and tells me that it has to be to go even though it was 10 min until they close. Then gives me the cake in a to go box no fork or napkins. Im never coming here again. Pathetic place.

Its nice to stop in a support a nice local coffeehouse when I am in the area. The staff brings the order to the table after its ordered at the counter. This is one of those cozy places where its fun to sit and talk with friends while relaxing inside or our on the patio.

Great indie coffee shop with breakfast and lunch. A classic, comfy chairs and couches, a library. The espresso is not to my taste. Thats the downside, great place to get some work done, very laptop frendly, but the coffee and food can be better.

In my personal opinion there is a difference between charming and just plain old. This place feels stuffy, worn out, and mismatched. I wasnt impressed by their orange iced tea. The decorations are half-effort. Not that comfortable. Overrated!

my fav place in redondo to drink coffee and study/do work on my laptop. im here all the time. fun decor. not frigid cold like cb&tl or starbucks. they let fresh air in, which is crucial. not 5 stars because the internet cuts out frequently.
