Its 12:30 in the morning, and Im hearing impaired. Let me tell you why. I went for a jog around Hermosa Beach earlier today, and noticed that this bar near the pier had Karaoke on Monday nights, and still being one who has never Karaoked before, I thought Id give it a shot. So, when I strolled up at 9:30 this evening, I didnt hear amateurs singing on the stage. Instead, I heard a metal band, and then realized it was Tuesday, not Monday. Tuesday is Full Metal Jacket night. So I thought, what the hay. Went in and ordered a Newcastle... just as the band began a 20 minute break. So I wait for their 2nd set while watching videos on the flat panel. Happened to catch the Sex Pistols doing Pretty Vacant, so that held my attention for a while. The band came back and rocked the house. They even went WAY back and did Change by Van Halen. I visited the mens room after the 2nd set, and found myself next to the rhythm guitarist. (its a pretty small bathroom). [MENTAL NOTE: I dont think the guitarist felt comfortable holding a conversation at the urinal.] Now I feel bloated and irritated, because the brown ale is sitting heavy and my ears... they are a-ringin.

Great spot for locals and tourists alike. The only advice I have for folks from out of town is to realize this isnt Baja Sharkeez or one of several of the other bars on the pier that may market to folks outside the immediate area. Be respectful of the tradition/history of this establishment. Good for pool, amazing happy hour last time I was there (both FOOD & drinks). Friendly staff...

Live music on Friday nights. Attentive staff, Busy dance floor, Aggressive security, get your monies worth.... Makes for a fun people-watching crowd. Late night menu closes at midnight. Pray you get Raquel as your server. Get there early, late or in between. Youll have fun if you bring fun. We had the pizza and fries... No complaints. Parking can be a challenge, but youll get over it.

My husband and I have been looking for a live Reggae spot to go to from time to time. We didnt want anything to fancy or the early twenties crowd. We stumbled across the Lighthouse and had such a wonderful time last night, we stayed for all three sets. The band was Jahmark and the Soulshakers. We ate dinner, danced had a few drinks. We will be regulars. Come join us.

i love the lighthouse, but i had the worst experience with the bartender last night. she bullied me into giving her 20$ for a drink that i didnt order and even if i had it should have been 12$... idk dude. it wasnt even made properly. it wasnt about the money, it was how she was so agressive. i tried not to let it ruin my night, but it was kind of a bummer.

I wish this place was more jazz oriented, since you get distracted by people watching basketball or redbull advertisment on the walls next to the picture of famous jazz folks. Yet still worth coming, if you are into jazz, lalaland or just want some cozy atmospheric place to relax.

We went in around 2pm on Sunday and listen to some very good Jazz Music the band was wonderful, (Janis Mann Quartet) We stood and listen to Urban Dread and they were also very good as well. I will definatly be coming back! Thank you Gilbert Perez.

I love that they have live music! The bands are fantastic and the crowd is always really friendly and fun. The staff is polite and attentive and drinks are middle of the road priced. This is just generally a good bar that we frequent often.

Went to watch an 80s cover band the other night there with my girlfriend. Everyone was dancing and having a super fun time. Cold beers and good drinks! Perfect spot to go if youre just looking for a good time with some friends.

Small place but nice, one of the spots where LA LA LAND was shot, ask for the mojito they have a really good one, live music. If you like jazz and blues, its really good, the dancefloor its small and very crowded.

Not the best one in Hermosa beach but they did not ask me for any identity. 5$ for entry and you will find a great ambiance inside. Cheap in price and the live performance was good and energetic.
