The coffee is very good here, but it is served in those huge Alice in Wonderland cups. This place is literally the only place around Sonoma Plaza that is open in the morning for breakfast and coffee, but it is a good choice. They have a limited breakfast selection, but the quality of ingredients is good. The interior of the place is nice if a little tight. There are tables outside on the sidewalk and today it would have been a good choice with the great weather. The staff is efficient, and includes Mexicans who are bilingual, so that makes it even cooler because they can deal with anyone. The 2016 Alcalde of Sonoma, Mr. Patrick Garcia can be found here in the morning, he is a fountain of Sonoma history, and a very interesting and friendly gentleman. Go eat there, hang out and take a walk around the plaza after breakfast, it really is a nice cafe. Recommended!

Was rushed when looking at the menu. After eating my pre-made quiche, I understand quiche is made ahead, however when I originally wanted crapes with just egg and spinach Is when I was told its pre-made., and my so-so espresso I was looking to purchase loaves of bread ... Again unable to look in a timely manner and rushed (the bread is located right in front of the counter) they could have helped the 10 people behind me while I selected the bread I wanted) instead the girl kept saying is that all? So instead of choosing the three to four loves I was looking at I quickly checked out with one loaf of cinnamon raisin bread, from behind the counter. When I pick it up hhhmmmm it was hard as a rock. Disappointed and dont plan on returning, I dislike pre -made food and feeling rushed. Customer service is important as well as quality! I will not recommend .

The owner of Basque Boulangerie decended from the Pyrenees Mountains Region in France bordering on the Basque Region on the other side. This inside out white washed popular gathering post, endearingly known as the Basque, is warm, bright and cheery. It specializes in old world European tradition of hand crafted baking artisan breads, pastries, baked goods and deserts. There far too many choices...too too many mouth-watering temptations...what to choose?...what to eat?...Oh, crumbs! Decisions, decisions...grilled sirloin burger, croque monsieur, four cheeses mac n cheese, apple muffins, banana nut muffins, gateau basque slice, cappuccino, hot chocolate, WOW....OOOOOH....HMMMMM,HUMMMMM,AAAAAH....WHAT A LUNCH! Delicieux! Oso gozo! Claque de levres! Ezpain smacking! Une union parfaite! Perfektua batasuna!

The freeze was ohhh so good. Double shot chocolate. Starbucks can kiss my...@#$ Croissant with sausage, egg and [swiss] cheese was very filling for under $7. At 4:45pm! I say [swiss] because mine came with "yellow swiss" which was strangely similar to cheddar. But NONETHEMORE (brothers quote), it was great. They dont REALLY have WiFi. Its office WiFi from up above that is carried down by the wind. 10% was what the counter person told me to expect. sour1944 Id go back. Price to quality to size, it was 4/5

Busy & Chaotic dont begin to describe this little pasty shop & salad-sandwicherie. With a perfect location across from the main park & square this place is always bustling with locals as well as tourists who stumble upon it shopping the stores around the square. The rustic breads, simple ingredients and seasonal offerings combine to keep locals happy and out of towners spreading the word. its busy so be patient but know the wait is worth the reward! Thanx for the reco R. Hunter!

What a great place to enjoy breakfast! It is located right in the plaza of downtown Sonoma. It is just a small cafe and can get crowded on busy mornings. We sat outside since there were no inside seats available, but the weather was perfect in the summer so it was enjoyable. The lattes are delicious! I ordered the turkey panini. It was good, but there was a little bit too much cheese for my own personal taste. I would definitely visit again!

wow, what a find. my husband and I were travelling through Sonoma, when we stubled upon this little backery. we are from Boston, which is filled with great places, yet this was one of the best I have even seen. the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was fabulous. just a warning, try to arrive before 10 am, when all the tourists like us invade the place. it really is too bad we live so far away, or I would be a regular.

Do not miss out the paninis at this place! I was shocked at how good they are for the price--both delicious and filling. I think mine was a turkey pesto panini. Whatever it was, it was one of the best paninis I have ever had. And it felt like the perfect food to eat in between wine tastings

Great little place to get coffee and pastries. Also great loaves of fresh bread to take while doing wine tours (with cheese and meats of course). Great to sit on front patio and watch Sonoma Plaza while eating.

Coffee: Taylor Farms drip, served in mugs and cups. Food: American and Scandinavian-American pastries, sorts of bread and sandwiches, and a few French inspired brunch flair. Attentive and friendly staff.

Great spot to stop to grab a breakfast sandwich or a sweet pastry snack. Friendly staff. Often busy, but Ive never experienced a unacceptable wait for service or food. Id recommend arriving early.

Food was very good. Small location with limited seating. The order/pickup process was disorganized with many patrons including us having orders lost or delayed. They can easily improve this.

This is a reliable place to stop in the square for a coffee and pastry. Its always fairly busy and chaotic but the pastries are high quality and its the best coffee option in the area.

Scrumptious cookies and other delicious treats! A nice little spot for lunch or a snack. A fair amount of seating, good for groups. Positioned on the outskirts of a beautiful park.

One of my favorite stops when in Sonoma. Excited to hear of the opening of second location in Danville soon since that is where I live.

Overpriced. Coffee was average. Eclar was good but not delicious. And also I bought ciabatta but it tastes like a long loaf.
