Centrally located on Calistogas main street, the Roastery has become my go-to "morning hangout place." Not only does the establishment offer prepared coffee & tea drinks, there are also in-house, baked-daily pastries as well as a café menu for lunch or brunch fare such as soups, meal-salads and wraps. High-speed WiFi is available (two separate router-signals!), and for "old-school" readers, be sure to look through the used-newspapers nook to save some money! Children are welcome here -- theres a small playspace -- but be forewarned: "unsupervised children will be given espresso and a free kitten." Mornings can get busy and tables fill up, especially on weekends, but Calistoga Roastery is well worth visiting. Highly recommended.

When an employee makes a mistake, as a customer, I shouldnt be hearing them be lectured for 5 minutes from the table Im sitting at. And if I ask a question that may seem "self explanatory", I shouldnt have one of the owners give me attitude. Ive never owned my own business, but Ive been a manager, Id never reprimand an employee in front of customers, thats public humiliation, and, well, I feel sorry for the nice employees working there. If you want to give them a tip for their hard work, bring cash, because they wont let you tip with a debit or credit card.

Clive has had the Roastery in town for over 20 years--and the place has become the de facto social center during that time. The coffee is FRESH and roasted just around the corner--essential for the best coffee. The drinks are made to order and are what ever yo ask them for--they know their craft. There is a tasty selection of bagels, sweets, salads, and sandwiches--and the prices are very UN-Napa Valley! For no extra charge, you can also get a dose of British Humor...

We were doing the wine tours, duh, and half our party decided to go to the mud baths. So, we wanted to grab a coffee and map out our day. Boy are we glad we went here. They had a great asortment of handcrafted beverages, baked goods and more. We even picked up a souvenir travel coffee mug so we could remember how fun this shop is! Very eclectic stylings nestled on the Main Street of the small town of Calistoga.

The chai tea latte was subpar it tasted like chai tea made with water and a splash of hot milk on top. I guess I was just expecting something creamy. But the drink came up fast and the customer service was good. Not a place I would recommend for quality chai. I cannot speak for any kind of coffee beverage as I did not have one.

In a town like Calistoga a coffee shop can sometimes be a place just for tourists. I like to see the locals hanging out. That means that the quality has to be consistent and the prices resoanable. So, while not stellar quality, the service was friendly, the coffee decent and the food good without trying to impress.

Clive and his wife (the owners) are the best. Theyve been here for over 20 years and roast all their own coffee in a Diedrich Roaster just around the corner. Very much a local watering hole for Calistogans. Join us!!!!

Ignore the few bad reviews... The owners Clive and Eva have run a great coffee place for 20 yrs+. Very good hand roasted coffee. Pastrys, bagels and light breakfast items. A popular place with both locals and tourists.

The smoothies are great but any Latte o e orders even a large o my has one shot of espresso, any additional shot is $.65. Makes a 4 shot iced latte a ridiculous price. Makes Starbucks look cheap.

Coffee was watered down. The staff was more interested in conversing with one another then helping the guests. I would switch to tea if this were the last coffee roaster in northern California.

Very good espresso , the grinding is accurate and the volume was right the only problem I have is that the staff was lazy about making the milk and use the left over in the cane.
