We came here for dinner, and it was pretty good. Appetizers - I liked both the Samusas and the Burmese Empanadas. The samusas were filled with soft and slightly spicy potatoes. I could taste the cumin and other curry spices that made the samusas pretty tasty. The empanadas had a crispy and flaky crust. They were filled with tender and well seasoned pieces of chicken. They werent spicy but still had the curry flavor. Catfish Chowder - I thought it was a little on the bland side. I didnt taste much seafood flavor at all, but the warm soup did feel good with the rainy weather outside. Nan Gyi Dok - I didnt think these noodles were the best as the curry was a bit too mild and less bold. There was also a little too much cilantro which overpowered the weaker curry flavor. Lamb Curry - The curry was pretty good. It had a more peppery quality maybe from cloves and coriander. That kind of flavor worked well with the tender lamb, and I also really like how they fried the potatoes before adding it to the curry. It really gave the potatoes a stronger potatoey flavor. Kabocha Pork Stew - Although the kabocha was a little bit undercooked, it still tasted pretty good. I really like how they seasoned the stew with more warm spices like ginger and cinnamon, which complimented the kabocha stews sweetness. The flavor combination kinda reminded me of a spicier sweet potato casserole. Pork was the perfect protein to pair with this, because pork always goes well with sweet stuff. Im no Burmese food expert or anything, but I thought dinner was pretty good overall. I cant say that I often crave the cuisine, but I can see myself coming back here when I feel like it.

I used to love this place because the food is tasty and price is reasonable. However my experience has been totally changed tonight. I went with my 3 year old for dinner, there are some free tables, we were waiting at the entrance for 5 mins and nobody came to take us to the table, finally we have to talk to a waitress asking if we can sit at a free table. After we sat down, I ordered three dishes including an appetizer, then we waited, waited, waited, waited....... for about 30 mins until I see the people around us who came about same time already finish their food , and people behind us already got their food, then I asked the waiter what is happening, the waiter checked and came back telling me the food is taking longer time, yes I do know the biriyani takes longer time, but not THE APPETIZER AND OTHER STIR FRY?!! Then I asked him where are the other two dishes if they can serve first as I have a really hungry kid. Then the waiter went back, after a while our food came up, and WHAT? The BIRIYANI is ONE THIRD of the SIZE of before??!! That is really a rip off honestly, apparently I just felt the owner is getting greedy now and I felt I was cheated. Wanna to spread the words to let others know about my terrible experience.

The phrase "hidden gem" comes to mind when I think of this place. Dont let the outside deter you, the inside is quite nice. Platha and Dip - was the best dish of the night. Reminds me a lot of the roti app from Banana Island. Tea Leaf Salad - good but Ive had better. Its very similar to the one at Burma Superstar (where I had the best tea leaf salad) but it needs an extra punch of seasoning. House Special Noodles - It was good but lacked salt. It was very mild in flavor. Chicken Biriyani - was not crazy about the sweetness. I would ask them to leave out the raisins next time. It also can use an extra pinch of salt. The ingredients were fresh, the food was cooked well, but everything lacked flavor (perhaps just salt). The staff was nice but not as "on it" as they should be. For example, water refills were not automatic, I had to ask for refills a couple times. The watermelon drink was meh. Wished they used fresh kiwi instead of syrup. Overall, its a nice addition to the area.

So greasy Im almost sick. Overpriced slop. Beautiful interior maybe salads here are better if I ever come back thats what Ill have to try. details ordered - 1. fried squash app 2. samosas app 3. Vege noodles 4. pumpkin squash soup $47.69 to go ouch since everything except the soup turned my stomach. there was so much grease in the fried squash it puddled in the box and was soggy and made me puke. samosas were cooked in that same nasty oil and nothing special, also made me sick. noodles were in the same old gross oil but they were edible at least. the soup was a plastic bowl filled with 2inch cubes big ones of squash with a little bitty amount of flavorful pumpkin soup.

Justt go once and you will mot be disappointed even the after dinner "mint" was crazy good. And SUPER considerate polite staff. I dont know how they pull the place of to be honest. 10/5 stars. I wish I loved closer. And if you want to impress someone this is the place to go I promise. (Check google for busy times or just make a reservation) So worth it! What a gem. Perfect date place. Small (but decent sized) restaurant in Daly City in a random plaza. Who woulda thunk it?! I like it because theres ALWAYS parking, and the food is on par with Burma Superstar with no wait and roughly the same price. The interior is nice and clean, great for a date spot. Fairly quiet so perfect place to talk. The service is nice and helpful, and as mentioned, the food is great! Ive had the curry, tea leaf salad, and roti here. Nom nom nom nom. Definitely returning here in the future to try everything else on their menu!

Started with great beer. We then had some of the best bread Iv ever tasted. We decided to order various plates to share. We started with clams in a white wine sauce with two pieces of bread at the bottom. No need to dip. our next dish was asparagus with a fried duck egg on top. Just amazing. Fritters and burrata to finish it off. Profiteroles and grasshopper pie. Excellent in every way. Thank you.

Very small potion. Poor service by waitress, never filled the water even a few glasses empty. Had to ask for water. Not really cleaning up empty dishes nor checking to see how are doing. Yet was charged for service charge 18% with party of 6 adults 2 kids and 1 baby which was not stated on the menu (is it legal?) and nobody said anything about the service charge. Would not recommend this place. Beware.

Excellent service and knowledgeable staff! I was gravitationally sucked into this restaurant due to the vegan/vegetarian friendly menu. They dont have mock beef, chicken, duck unfortunately. This is desirable because its significantly more protein than tofu. It tastes better and has great texture too. Try the Bun Tay Wheat noodles if you like spice

The food and service was excellent, but might be short staffed in the kitchen. Waited for 40+ mins for our orders to arrive, while the place was maybe 60% occupied. However, the service was very accommodating and courteous. The only thing holding me from going back is whether my food would arrive within a reasonable 15-20 mins or less.
