I was bummed! I had a bad experience from beginning to end. I called ahead of time to see if they had wireless Internet as I had to get some work done while I had food. They said they did so off I went in search of "Aromas." I showed up and every table near the front of the cafe and near any windows said "Reserved for 2 or more people!" How lame is that? I had to sit in the back of the restaurant away from all of the light and all the people. LAME. But I toughed it out and found a table in the back. I unloaded my lapto, plugged in and turned on. Then I made my way to the front counter. I proceeded to order some breakfast and coffee. I went to hand them my credit card and BAM..... they only take cash. The guy behind the counter pointed at a TINY little sign on the register that said "cash only." He pointed to an ATM machine about 10 feet away. THAT SUCKS! I had to get out of line. I took out cash which cost me $1.75 at the ATM and another $2.00 from Wells Fargo! I had to pay $3.75 to pay the guy $8.00! How lame is that! So I went and got back in line. I finished paying and went to sit down. then I decided to trek across the cafe to the bathroom to find that its controlled by a key. The sign said go ask the kitchen for the key. I went to the kitchen and asked for the key. The guy pointed to a key back towards the bathroom and seemed annoyed that I didnt see it. LAME AGAIN! So after the bathroom I logged on to my computer and guess what..... the wireless takes a "key." Back to line for a third time I go. I got to the front of the line and got the code. I got back to my table and guess what.... the Internet wouldnt work. So the bottom line: 1. What cafe doesnt take plastic?!? What are they stuck in the stone ages? 2. The Internet access sucks! Theres a Starbucks 3 doors down that has great WiFi. 3. The bathroom key is in the middle of the restaurant so dont do what the sign says and just look for the key under a hanging arrow. 4. They make you sit in the back if youre by yourself. Bring a friend to be disappointed with. At least that way you might get to sit where its actually light. The coffee was pretty good. The food was okay. The hassle was huge and I HATE having to spend money in fees just to pay for a lazy company that doesnt want to take plastic. Bottom Line: LAME, UNFRIENDLY and stuck in the stone ages.

The staff and patrons are swell. The owner has a gruff, and sometimes effected prescence. That being said, the charm and value of the place, heartily outweighs any hiccups! I always have a to go medium house coffee, infused with a shot of espresso , and a pastry from the case next to the self serve house coffee, for there. That way, I can sit and relax or socialize, perhaps charge my phone; should I desire, leave with my coffee.

Although they arent open as late as rainbow, overall a great cafe/coffee joint. I dont drink coffee so I cant attest to that, but the tea is always fresh. I have come a couple of times and was very surprised at how good my chicken sandwich was last night. I wasnt expecting great food from the coffee shop but it was excellent. Friendly, well run, clean, nice environment.

This is the greatest place. Lots of room, a good number of 4 and 2 top tables, comfortable chairs, power outlets for your laptop and Wifi that works great. We had a 4 hour meeting there and they were really accomodating. The food is eclectic and we all thought it was great and they know how to make a cappucino. Five stars for these guys.

This place is horrible. The atmosphere is low level. The staff are mean and they look down on people who dont order a full meal. Its like you should spend money on their mediocre food. Walking in there is a bad experience. I have never seen those people friendly. Its just the only place open till 10 apart from Starbucks in the corner.

Too expensive. food wasnt as good.coffee wasnt as good as the other coffee joint in the corner. Royal ground coffee sells sandwitches and are by far the best I have ever had. Plus the esspresso has one of the best taistes. My god I fell in love with that place. I woulndt recommend aroma (in my opinion)

Aroma is a vital part of San Rafael. They only take cash, but have an ATM next to the register. I kind of want to see the blank ceiling be painted in fresco by a local artist... And speaking of art, Aroma hosts several installments of artwork on their walls each year. Id give it 10 Stars if I could!

I love the Aroma. I think the food is delicious. Its organic, middle eastern based- but also a huge aray of salads and some great soups besides Couscous, etc. I have never had a problem with the internet and I study there a lot. The staff is just fine- Im surprised at the bad reviews.

Dropped in to find good coffee and a place to work for the day. They have a wide selection of drinks and ample seating. Bonus is that their food selection is quite extensive including breakfast, small pizzas, bunch of middle eastern choices, and more. Plenty for a vegetarian as well.

Chill and comfy neighborhood cafe with better coffee than Starbucks around the corner. Good selections of salads and sandwiches- a great hummus plate. Lots of comfy corners to work on your laptops or people watch. Very friendly and free WIFI!

Owner Rajay is a nice guy, I was his bussperson like 10 years ago. This location has the same great recipes. Good coffee, nice ambiance, always busy. The front usually theres more professional types and in the back locals hanging out.

I love this place. Fresh, healthy salads and sandwiches. The service is quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere to read or meet friends. Nice to have an alternative to all the chain coffee shops and eateries. Great people watching.

Its an excellent place to spend time with people. They have great food, good drinks, and a chill atmosphere. The man who owns the place is always working the register. He runs a great business and I love coming here!

Their chicken lemon soup is THE bests soup I have ever had! Their sister cafe Fairfix basically has the same menu, but the Fairfix is better in my opinion. None the less, this location is very tasty and fresh!

Consistently good food and drinks, a convenient location, friendly staff, and a casual vibe make Aroma Care a great place to grab a coffee, quick dinner, or chill out and write your novel.

Turned into a classic cafe from the old Marin days. One problem is the cash only option. But lots of outlets, decent food and great people watching make up for that one shortcoming.

This place has great acoustics (ie. you can hear yourself think and talk with your neighbor). The staff is friendly. The crowd here is chill. They have a nice selection of food.
