We are here on vacation and stopped in for lunch. I didnt see any hot sandwiches on the menu so I asked if they had them. She said they do but only in the large size. So, I said,"in that case I will take the #2". Now, that would infer that I didnt want a large sandwich. When she brought the sandwich out it was huge. I said, "wow, Im glad I didnt order a large". To which she replied, "this IS a large. If you dont specify we serve a large sandwich". OK, so I admit I wasnt paying attention to the total I paid. But,it seems an awfully sleazy "rule". Ive never been to a restaurant and ordered anything without being questioned about what size I would like. Size notwithstanding the sandwich wasnt that great.

LOVE this place !!!!! REAL ITALIAN FOOD MADE BY A REAL ITALIAN......Angelos recipes are great!!! Try the meatball sandwich !!!! You can buy some of his wonderful pasta sauce , take it home, boil some pasta and your family will think you took classes in Italian cooking !!!! Great food, great hard to find Italian groceries . Wonderful little place....very charming.

This place is like home! It smells Italian and is so delicious. They have incredible sandwiches and lots of fun Italian foods in the grocery side. The prices are perfect for this quality. We love their sub sandwiches (crave them!) and when I am cooking a special dinner I always get their pasta because its unique and so delicious.

My girlfriend and I shopped here while on vacation and its hands done one if our best memories. The son of the owner helped us. His knowledge of the cheeses and the meats were incredible. They made the canoli fresh for us, insisted we wait 5 minutes for the fresh bread. Wow! Can wait to go back there again!

Good food and atmosphere. You can smell the spices a half block away. Could anything be better than that? Pasta dishes are served in a pan with plenty to take home after. Sauces are pastas are made on site. Very fresh. Has an east coast vibe, which doesnt imply sophistication but authenticity.

The staff is friendly and they do not rush you when you order. If you want a sandwich or hot food or if you want Italian groceries they have it. They have parking in the back which is important because Main St. is often crowded. Look for their banner over the back door!

The food aroma alone wafting into the street is enough alone to make you want to eat there. Great place for deli cuts and cheeses from their deli case to take to the beach. All freshly cut. Food to go looks great. The sandwiches are the bomb!

One of the top Delis in Orange county, 2 locations one on main street downtown in seal beach and the other in Belmont shores just off 2nd street. The Calabrese sandwich is the best. good sauces for homemade pastas.

I agree their lasagna is worth the drive from Newport Beach for me. When the craving hits for Angelos it their lasagna I order to go or wat their in their cozy adode.
