My wife and I were happy with SuperMex’s catering of our wedding. We contacted them about one year prior to our event date. We enjoyed working with Julio, their catering coordinator, who was friendly, attentive, and willing to work with us through several revisions to our order. One minor difficulty we faced was it was difficult to get a hold of Julio or other coordination staff, and it was not uncommon for several days to several weeks to go by before we would get responses to our inquiries (sent to their shared company email address). However, this is partly attributable to the fact that this is a small, privately run enterprise that covers a wide swatch of southern California. And, while it did not overly affect us (as we contacted them so far in advance), it made solidifying our plans take a few extra steps. Those things aside, the food was excellent and the staff were on time and friendly to our guests throughout. They made sure to congratulate us during our reception and stayed longer than originally planned to ensure all of our guests were served (without charging us extra). We were happy with the price, the quantity of food served, and the service we received, and would recommend their services if hosting a large event.

Dont forget they have take out! We have been eating at Super Mex for years and it was great when they opened the Lakewood location. We are often busy or just to lazy to fix a meal so having take out has been very helpful. For the most part our orders have been correct and ready within minutes of my arrival. Unfortunately I had two pick ups in a row that were very disappointing "NOT THE FOOD" the service and that may have been just poor communication between the girl that took my phone order and myself. And the other was a snafu of changing the way they would normally prepare the burrito we had ordered resulting in a long wait! I mention this to the manager he did not just tell me he was sorry he took steps to make me happy!

Probably will never eat there again although the food is very good I had instructed my server that I could not eat hot or spicy food she proceeded to place my order bring them to my table nachos with Jalapenos in it since the person who was with me had ordered them as appetizer I let that go although I felt as though if I had told the woman that I didnt want anything hot or spicy she wouldnt have brought anything to the table with anything hot or spicy in it without advising me these have Jalapenos in them. Bottom line got into a discussion about it with the other person I was dining with whom I will probably never done with again and most likely never eat there again.

Had Sunday dinner with my husband at this restaurant, and its been the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Its almost like they have everything premade in the back and microwave it to order! The chips were really hard and greasy, like they had been fried multiple times. Not sure how they screw chips up, but they did. My husband and I each ordered a Chile Relleno plate. The chiles were small, dry and nasty. If you know Mexican food, youll hate it here. The service was terrible, seemed like they had 2 waiters working the whole restaurant. We are not coming here again. 0 stars, over priced, dont throw your money away.

The most reliably good Mexican food in town. If you dont have a little Mexican mom that knows how to make chile verde, arroz and frijoles de la jolla this would be your next best option. Any item you try will be delicious but do give the specialty dishes a try. The cocido is very good. Most dishes are served with hot, soft tortillas and fresh salsa. Most locations serve cerveza fria and my personal favorite, the SuperMex margarita. On-the-rocks, no salt. Salud!

Very poor service. Bought take out missing food. When I called back the girl lied about it. Had she not been running her mouth the whole time she could have gotten it right. Asked to soesk to the manager and he was no better. Secondly the chicken taste like it was going bad. Never again and I think it was because the Mexicans cover for each other even when they are wrong.

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in the face of this planet! I went here for the first time about 10 years ago and ever since its been my favorite place to eat of all time. The enchiladas are amazing! I just wish we had one out in the valley area too since I just moved there and now have to drive almost 2 hours for this awesome food.

I love this place so much! It can be slow at times, but never really happens. Food is great, about everything about it is great! I moved many states away from CA and I miss eating here. The chips and salsa are great, and the waiters talk both English and Spanish. Everyone is very friendly.

One of the few Mexican restaurants that wont give you next morning bathroom problems. I think the quality of the food is better here than most Mexican food places. The good news is even though the quality is higher The price is about the same

Worst of the three I been to. Food was lousy like yesterdays leftovers that was reheated. Snotty staff. Restroom needs cleaning. The only good thing about this restaurant is that its located in the mall parking lot.

The food is solid Mexican food. About as authentic as youll find in the area. Ive ordered mostly combination plates and the Cocido soup. All dishes were very good. Whenever Im in town, I stop by.

The food was delicious. I had the huevos rancheros and my fiance had two tacos de asada and a beef tamale. Service was fast and friendly. The enviroment is nice. Defenitely coming back.

On a cold windy day as today is, the Cocido (#25) hits the spot. Everyone else must think the same as the place was packed. The first time Ive ever had to wait for a seat.

Disgusting food, expensive prices. Gross. Been to super mex in Huntington Beach, Sunset Beach. Better food. Not expensive like in Lakewood ca :-(
