I have recommended this place to many tourists as a pedicab driver in Santa Monica because I had a fabulous dinner there years ago with my mother and her sister. But tonight I ordered a($15) take-out veggie burrito and was shocked to discover it doesnt include any vegetables. It was nothing more than a glorified bean and cheese burrito with a very fancy sauce. I called and talked with the owner who unapologetically verified the conspicuous absence of veggies in the veggie burrito. He did mention lettuce but I dont recall any lettuce. He was similarly unconcerned about the loss of my recommendation. I dont mind paying a premium price for a premium product, but the CASA MARTIN veggie burrito is not a premium product, and the comatose customer service from the owner after lodging a complaint will keep me far away from their kitchen or ever again recommending it to others.

When you want to taste of Santa Monica and your Mexican food and traditional drinks made as close to perfection as possible this is your destination! Whether youre a local or a tourist , on a date or out with the family /friends friends, this place will be just what the doctor ordered. Large amounts of positive energy run rampid throughout this location and seems to emerse itself into the food as well completing the experience in a great fashion. You might even run into a celebrity while youre there, but this is the type of place where everyones family so no pretentious Hollywood types in this place. Only the kind they see themselves as regular people just like you who came to the right place to get a great meal!

The service was great, friendly, and very entertaining- a good sense of humor. The food was excellent. My wifes enchiladas and my sisters fajitas in particular. I had the burrito, which was good, but a bit plain in taste. So I would give a 5 for service and the setting, and a 4 for the food. But at the end we were overcharged. We came in at 1, and ordered off of the lunch menu, which the menu said was good until 1:30. Obviously, we finished after 1:30, and their computer up-charged us for the higher prices. They were unwilling to make any changes, and not at all interested in discussing it. So, a 1 for that part of the interaction, and thus my 2 rating overall.

Pretty decently priced restaurant given the proximity to the pier. Nice setting but didnt enjoy the food that much. The chips were a bit bland and I got the Wet Veggie Burrito which was a bit bland as well. The combination of ingredients didnt taste as good as I had expected and there was also an abundance of lettuce that came with it. However, very nice presentation of the food.

Delicious food and great service. The manager was very nice and server was great. The place had a very welcoming and friendly vibe. I had a lunch special burrito -- very good, and the portion was HUGE (I saved half and had it for dinner). Also the chips and salsa were great. Next time in LA/Santa Monica, I will have to come back. A+

Food was great, service was terrible. We waited for 15 minutes just to get our drink order in. And he brought out the check with our food and we wanted to order another beer, the waitor made a huge deal cause he had to go back an re-do the check. We spent $50 on two people, it was ridiculous. Never recommending this place ever.

Just had a late lunch here after walking up and down the pier. The food was delicious, and the prices were pretty low, despite the proximity to the beach and the quality. Our server Fernando and the rest of the staff were also very friendly. Absolutely loved this place and hope to come back to SoCal someday for it.

If you are visiting the Santa Monica Pier, please do yourself a favor and eat here. One of the best Mexican Restaurant that I visited in CA! Traditional Mexican flavor, without tons of cumin, so you can actually taste rhe food. Oh, and the best carnitas. The hand made tortillas are on my top 5 in the US.

I was looking for an authentic home cooked Milanesa (flattened breaded chicken) accompanied with original flavours in the rice, beans and guacamole...I found it!!!Pleased with the entire experience from this family owned little jewel. Will definitively become a regular !!!

Some friends and I heard good things about this place so we thought we would try it out. We went on a Sunday afternoon and the food was great. Mexican food and a long island on the beach was the perfect way to spend Sunday. I will definitely be going back for more.

I was looking for a vegetable-heavy dish, so I ordered Pacos stacked enchiladas. Hands down the best enchiladas I ever had, and one of the best meals Ive ever eaten over all. Service was impeccable.

Favorite Casa Martin in CA. Recommend getting a carne asada burrito with queso. And then drizzle every bite with a bit of their spicy green salsa. Helps greatly with hangovers.

Fantastic Mexican vibe and unique décor. We tried the Fajitas and they were amazing. The home made corn breads also made the dish extra special.
