FOOD POISONING on Sunday, June 26, 2016. Atmosphere was super dark (required flashlight to read menu) & a lady that had too much to drink at their bar was treated by the fire dept. with sirens blazing, yet our food initially tasted great; before 3 out of 6 of us (eating & drinking different items from their menu), plus 1 additional family member who ate the leftovers upon us returning home; got deathly sick - excessive vomitting, missing work, etc. When my Dad contacted the manager the following day to inform (& not look for handouts or threaten lawsuit) the arrogant manager offered not even an apology for a $150 meal. For such a filthy town of Venice with questionable places to eat, we thought we chose well just a few blocks away. However, we never will eat there again & question what else is Baja Cantina hiding in their dark restaurant!

I will never eat here again..At first I was going to go to Baja Fresh, but then I thought Id support local food...I swung through here really fast to take a burrito to the beach...After eating half of my burrito, I found a paper barcode for cilantro IN the burrito. I lost my appetite, took it back and they refunded me the price...THEN Im woken up at 4:40 in the morning, almost throwing up all over my bed, run to the bathroom and threw up the burrito and the salsa from this place...they seem to be nice people, but this is just F***ing ridiculous. PLUS theyre completely overpriced. You want the best mexican in LA? Go to Salsa and Beer...I know for a fact I will be steering clear of burritos for a while though...Big mistake going here.

Sat down with a group Saturday, the place wasnt overly busy. I ordered immediately upon sitting down. Steak nachos with no jalapenos. My food didnt come out until after most of the table had finished eating; when it did they brought me chicken nachos with jalapenos. I ate the food because I was hungry and didnt make a big deal about this. When I asked for the check I pointed out to the waitress to make sure the check reflected the chicken nachos not the steak since thats not what I had brought. After taking nearly an hour to deliver nachos, then bringing the incorrect order nothing was offered by the manager. Thats just bad customer service, the food was decent but I wont be back based on their service.

Btw.. Youre probably seeing a lot of 5 star reviews on my list, but I am hesitant to list the really bad 1 to 2 star places I go to. And there are plenty. Now regarding this place.. EXCELLENT margaritas! A little on the strong side. But I ordered the watermelon margarita, which only comes on the rocks, made with fresh watermelon. Another plus.. the salsa. WOW. They bring you chips and salsa, but the salsa comes in those plastic containers with the snap-on lids. I was put off by it - till I tasted it. And, last but not least. I ordered the build your own burrito. I had to try the coconut rice option they had. Very good. Fresh, healthy. Veggies are crispy. I will definitely come back here!

The place has a good atmosphere. The fireplace in the winter is lovely to sip margaritas next to. The chips and salsa are endless and perfectly ordinary. The food is a bit more expensive than mexican food should be, but I suppose you are paying a premium for the environment. The drinks are very good and the margaritas well balanced. If the food were just a few steps better and the prices just a bit lower, theyd have things perfect. It is not a bad place though.

This was my Westside go-to Mexican and comfort food restaurant. Dishes are vibrant and fresh, and the chips and salsa are seriously delicious and addictive. Most of the margaritas are fantastic but for some reason the skinny margarita can be made better at home IMO. If youve had a long, hard day, order the margarita grande. Its worth it! Most dishes like the enchiladas or fajitas cantina are easily split for smaller appetites, or provide for good leftovers.

Porzioni gustose ed abbondanti e personale molto cortese. Il locale ha una struttura "curiosa" con ambienti diversi e caratteristici dove si può scegliere di bere o consumare il proprio pasto.

I was desperately craving some Mexican food while on my bike ride down to the beach. I spotted this spot and decided to go in. Honestly, it wasnt really my thing. I should have known from the word "Cantina" that it wasnt really good have any great food. It was a little too rowdy for my taste. Other than that, I guess if you are looking for a nice drink and place to relax, then this is the spot for you.

Good atmosphere. Good drinks. Good food. The drinks arent too strong and not to watered down. The lobster quesadilla was an odd menu item but it was pretty good minus the mango dipping sauce. The only complaint was the attentiveness of the server. She took forever and couldnt split checks. I had to order from the bartender which wasnt so bad. He was quick and very nice.

Okay so the food isnt fantastic but its not too bad. The mexican salads are great and fresh. Overall, yes it is bar food but it is a GREAT atmosphere to go watch your favorite team. They will change the channels for you so you can enjoy whichever game you want. The crowd is good, the margaritas are good, the salsa is good...what else do you need?!

I ordered one of the burritos (forget the name) and it was huge, and very good. I couldnt finish it, but I was offered a take-away bag. The mojito I ordered was to strong for my taste, and the side diet coke was to small so I had to get refills all the time. The service was decent and the interior design feels very authentic Mexican.

The food and service is quite good, but dont stay there after 10p as the African-American security guard has a severe attitude problem. He is quite predujice against mixed couples and made us very uncomfortable. We will not go there again, unfortunately as we like the food and the restaurant is within walking distance.

Typisch Mexicaans eten. Het is hier redelijk druk en de bediening is vriendelijk maar ook druk en zenuwachtig. Het eten is goed en de porties gigantisch!

I love this place!!! Fun decore with open air patios, great bartenders. Monday nights (Josh at the nain bar) barbequed ribs and or chicken (best ribs anywhere!!!). Tuesday nafternoons (Jeff at the main bar)....lobster dishers!!! Parking is pretty good for that area & parking attendant is very courteous.

This is your standard Mexican...chips and salsa with a margarita and greasy mexican food.... nothing special. This is a good place for a friends get together close to the beach. They have outside/bar seating for the loud get togeather with drinks or inside/dining seating for a more reserved experience.

Chips and salsa is amazing. The beef is absolutely terrible only if you like cinnamon in the beef. The chef needs to go back to school and get the ingredients correct. Cinnamon goes with dessert not beef. And they automatically charge you 18.5% gratuity. Never coming back here again.

It was a very nice cafe. Parking is horrendous. And of course there is valet parking. I did not know that so I entered to park and the valet Parkers were quite rude. All I wanted to do was Park in the handicap area. The restaurant itself is great but the Valet need a talking to
