Great food, great atmosphere and a DJ to boot! Love the place every time I go! Ive lived in this neighborhood all my live and before the Pit Fire there was Shakeys. Need I say more. The worst and most expensive pizza AND the place that all the school, soccer and Little League baseball teams would have their fundraisers! I think it so ironically wonderful that its been replaced with such a great place! My faves are the burrata pizza, the tuscan bean soup and the chicken paninis! Great selection of beer and wine, fast friendly service and of course the great music! The only negative is the parking and on some nights theres a huge group of bikers that take over the place. The downtown restaurant is also very good. The same good food and excellent service. They catered a rooftop event @ a small theater just down the street from our Eggie Files screening and they did an excellent job! Downtown or on the Westside, Pitfire Grill is the place to go for some good casual dining.

Fast, friendly, and efficient best describes every experience Ive had at this place so far and Ive been visiting for a year now. Pitfire remains to be one of the best at artisan fast cooking brick oven pizza in this location represents! When the DJ is in the mix it can feel like a cool dining room equipped with outside seating. The challenges with this place can be the lighting. It stays fairly dim inside the restaurant and at night, not only is parking difficult, but the parking lot is nearly pitch-black, which is a huge safety concern that has yet to be addressed and at least a year time span. Ive seen children on numerous occasions almost hit by moving vehicles because of the difficulty of seeing objects in the dark. Especially small ones.

I love that this place used to be an old Shakeys Pizza, and they converted it into a high-end hip & trendy pizza place. The pizza toppings can get very creative here. This time I had a pizza with Brussel sprouts, sour cream and chicken (instead of the bacon that came as part of the combo). The sprouts were a little undercooked for my taste, but overall it was a good pizza. I usually start with the turkey meatball, which are incredibly good. I especially love the marinara sauce. This place is VERY casual, even though its hip & trendy. The service is a bit too casual and unorganized.

I ordered meatballs and they were cold in the middle. I have never returned food before but they were so cold I had to. After waiting 14 min I got another order and they were FROZEN in the middle. I found the manager and told him to try them. After another 12 min wait and the people I was with were ready to leave, the manager brought me another order so hot I had to wait 10 min to eat the over cooked meatballs. The staff was nice and friendly except the sarcastic manager. Myself and everyone in my party will never eat there again.

I went here with a big group (more than 20 people) for a company lunch. You line up to order and the good thing is that they can just charge the same credit card for the company. I got my food really fast, I ordered their meat loves personal pizza. I cant believe I was able to finish it with my asian stomach but I guess I adapted the american servings. My other co-workers didnt get their food, we were done but their food arrived 40 mins later. Too bad for a bigger crowd they cant deliver.

If you have peanut allergies be aware that they dont label the cookies and if the cashier ignorantly gives you the peanut butter cookie instead of the chocolate chip that you asked for, well then, dont feed it to your 2 year old with peanut allergies like we did. Please put labels on those bags so we can differentiate your product. Itll save your cashiers the brain power, save kids from swelling up like they went two rounds with Mike Tyson, and likely save you from a lawsuit.

Visited this place on the first day during a trip to LA, it was walking distance from the place we were staying at. The pizza was great, nice thin crust and quality ingredients. The staff were also really friendly too, everyone we chatted with was great fun. Theres an outside part you can sit at too, however it was actually the only slightly cool evening we experienced in 3 weeks in the US so sat inside. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area and a pizza lover.

We placed a carry out order and waited...and waited...and waited. Turns out that our order had been sitting there for who knows how long (they give you a number and say that theyll bring it to you). There was no reason offered, barely a sorry. But the worst part was the gang of kids running all over, blocking the entrance, getting in the way of cars in the parking lot, going into the kitchen. Very disruptive! On top of all that, it was $35 for two personal sized pizzas!

This place is cool. I like the atmosphere a lot and its definitely worth trying. Only reason for 4 stars is because Im not really a pizza guy, so its not always my 1st choice. They happened to have a ton of other things that still made my experiences satisfying. Ive tried a few of their sandwiches and theyve all been awesome. By the high quality ingredients they use in the sandwiches, I can imagine they do the same for the pizza. Try it

Modern, boisterous ambiance. A little loud for me, but its energizing to be in a bustling atmosphere like that. We got the wild mushroom pizza - marvelous! Wood-fire style crust, fresh and tasty ingredients, served sizzling. Asked for a slice of cheese pizza - they dont serve by the slice, but the kids size cheese pizza was the perfect size for my son. Fresh veggie salad with roasted tiny potatoes and asparagus was also wonderful.

I ordered online to pick up. I went in to pick it up and they had sent it out for delivery. They told me to go home and wait for it to be delivered. I waited and then called and called and called and there was a busy signal. Finally I got through and spoke to the manager who told me he cancelled the order! I am extremely frustrated (not to mention hungry).

Totally awesome pizza! The salad was a delight as well. The space is in a gross alley and the interior looks far older than it really is. It has a kinda cool vibe with a staff that is pretty energetic. They have some very deep ovens that I became obsessed with. I will return for more food when Im feeling more wealthy.

Finally, an authentic pizza I can sink my teeth into. I love the crust, bubbly brown fresh out of the oven. Its worth paying a bit more to get the real deal. Im glad they just opened a location on north fairfax, cause its closer to home. I highly recommend.

Local pizza chain with well-priced, hand-crafted, thin-crust pizzas (pizza crust has a nice sourdough tang), supplemented with pastas and salads, with interesting beer and wine options. Good family spot, friendly service in an industrial, modern setting.
