Friendly staff and comfortable mellow vibe to do work. Lots of people on laptops and plugged into outlets, meaning people stay for hours and dont get chased out. I had a yummy vanilla latte (although the barista forgot to add the vanilla and I had to go back to her to add it) and an even yummier empanada. Thats why I love California, you can get an epanada and a latte, and both will be good. I would definitely go back and appreciated that it was quiet enough to work, but not too quiet that I was afraid to pick up a phone call or talk to my friend.

My favorite coffee spot of all time! All the drinks coffee or not are delicious! The assortment of goodies is fantastic. From breakfast sandwiches to alfajores to fresh pastries you cant go wrong. I would say I come to this place once a week and its always such a treat :) The spot is cozy and staff is extremely welcoming! Definitely better than any Starbucks or Peets coffee in the area. One of my favorite local businesses. You can also find them now inside the San Mateo Public Library on 3rd Ave in San Mateo!

Absolutely the best coffee shop in Downtown. The people that work there remember your order and are always extremely friendly. They have a wide selection of snacks and breakfast items. If you want a quick breakfast in the morning that doesnt need to be prepared by a cook, this is the place to come. Their drinks are always top quality.

Gotta like it when the local little goes head to head with big corporate bully...and wins hands down. The only reason I can see to go to that place across the street would be if 3 Bees is closed. And they know how to make a mean latte, caring more about the foam than in making an artful design in it.

The atmosphere is very much that of an Italian coffee shop, with friendly staff and a relaxed vibe. The espresso is pulled expertly and there is a large variety of small bites to choose from. Outdoor seating exists but is very limited.

My drink is an almond milk latte, and its hard to find almond milk that isnt too sweet, or espresso that isnt too burnt. At 3Bees I can get a decent drink quickly, they remember my order, and its near lots of downtown shopping.

Its ok. Id stick to the coffee here. Its not a coffee and "other stuff" but kinda place. The chai tea was flavorless and I found the coffee cake to be bland and dry. Perhaps I picked the wrong cake lovingly reviewed by others?

Nice fancy place. Love the set up. Very artistic and hipster place. Breakfast on Sunday was pretty busy. I had grilled portobello and eggs. It was delicious and healthy. Breakfast red potato was really good!

Was out of egg nog for an egg nog latte so I ordered a mocha. They use cocoa powder instead of syrup and it turned out great. Temperature was spot on as well. Good blend of chocolate and coffee flavor.

This is a great local cafe and one of the few that I know that still serves torrefazione coffee. Prices are reasonable and not usually crowded. However, the lighting inside is too dim for me.
