This is a small chain coffee shop with good wifi and power outlets. Having been to one of the chain locations, I didnt find this second one surprising or special anymore. But its more enjoyable than Starbucks, for sure. Coffee was pretty good, the rest of the coffee menu seemed regular, and I am not that much into sweet coffee drinks that populate the rest of the menu. Pastries seem ordinary, and I havent seen any healthy options. Oh, and there are flies everywhere. The opening hours were accommodating (I am looking at you, the rest of the Downtown Oakland work coffee shops), wifi strong, and power outlets plentiful. Just make sure to bring headphones, the ambient music is on the louder side. Overall, an unremarkable coffeeshop: I will not be seeking it out, but I will not hesitate to come here if I am in the neighborhood, need to get work done, and there are no other options.

Whilst waiting for a bus I decided that I had time for coffee (10 minutes). I popped inside and ordered a coffee, paid, and expected to get the coffee in a minute or two. Nope. Not even close. The service is not just slow, its EXTRA slow. And when you ask about why its taking so long, the response is "were very busy today". Their Idea of "very busy" is 7 orders waiting to get done. They had three baristas working and it took over 11 minutes to get an americano. Youd think that they would at least have a ready-brewed option for people who just want coffee. Well mmmm no, not allowed - only pour-over and espresso drinks. Youd think that theyd just be pulling shots knowing how many drinks they had lined up - again, no. Theyre just painfully slow. Good thing my bus was late...

Ive found a favorite coffee shop in Oakland. Ive tried the regular coffee, latte, and the horchata latte. I was apprehensive about getting the horchata latte because Im not a huge fan of horchata, mainly because its too sweet. But the barista told me I could do half sweet, which was perfect! The service is really friendly and helpful. The pastrys are pretty good too. The vegetable scone was savory, a perfect breakfast snack. The coffee cake was nice and light.

Disgusting. Ordered an almond milk latte. Took forever to be made. It tasted like cinnamon, when I asked why, they shrugged their shoulders. Got home with my cup and dumped it in the sink...there was some sort of sludge glopped at the bottom...a dissolved cookie? I have no idea. Never experienced anything as disgusting at any coffee shop. I hope drinking it wont make me ill. There are plenty of other spots in the area for coffee. Ill be going there!

Ive only had a chance to try 2 of their drinks, the mexican mocha and the horchata frapp and they were both AMAZING. The mocha is a little too rich for my taste but its halfway between a cappuccino and sipping hot chocolate. The frapp was really worth every penny and I will definitely be bringing more friends to visit in the future. Keep up the great work!

Horchata latte/Frappe for the win! Location: right off the 19th bart station. Cafe itself is just normal cafe but i like how they have many tables though not many outlets. internet is fast enough to work there. Coffee/drinks: I think coffee here is mediocre however their special coffee horchata latte and horchata frappe, Its an addiction... So good.

Because I was purchasing txts for an event at Paramount in Oakland, California one day, I ran right into this terrific coffee spot, two doors away. .....they pack your coffee freshly only after it arrives same day, fresh, what a great coffee I had, both a Cappuccino and a pound of wonderful coffee, too good. ...

This cafe is a hit or miss place time of day youre going. In the morning steady stream of patrons. Around 11ish most people are at work already. From noon to about 3:30pm there isnt much foot traffic. From 4pm till closing barely a soul inside. Nevertheless, its zippy in/out in a matter of minutes.

Lovely place that does its best to appear a local chain. Single origin coffee pour overs. Pastries. Free wifi. Beautiful space. However, it is a chain and the people that work there seem a little more miserable than your typical hipster. Otherwise, great spot!

Tierra Mia Coffee has a great open space, with yummy pastries and delicious drinks. The Horchata Latte is a must try, has a unique cinnamon flavor but is not too overwhelmingly sweet. Everyone that works there is always friendly and welcoming as well.

Solid espresso drinks as well as others. Good selection of food for a cafe/coffee shop. I discovered it on a happy accident while going to a movie at the Paramount next door. I have been twice this past year and was happy both time!

Very nice coffee shop offering small bites. Plenty of seating with tables to work. Couple facing couches are available along the windows for more intimate conversations. It never gets too loud as to be unbearable.

I love their Cubano con leche! One of the best things on the menu. I also love the natural light in this cafe. They lost a star because I think their food offerings could be better. Also very close to BART.

Slow! Dont go here if youre in a hurry. The worst part is that its Latin America style coffee but no Café Cubano (Cuban espresso). Also rude servers, especially the greñuda that has her hair up.

Super spacious great interiors and I enjoyed the horchatta frappe! Youll have to get the wi-fi code where you pick-up the drink. I definitely will be back when Im in the Oakland area again!

I had a very nice cappuccino and I love the rustic, nearly industrial decor. Its also superb top be open on Sunday in this district when most other food shops are closed.

Nice and spacious. So many coffee places seem to view being cramped as a virture, but its nice to have enough space that youre not sitting right nice to the next person.

Nice place. Just a bit slow in the morning. One nice lady who gets the pastries and coffee plus rings up. Walking to work I have just a few minutes

Good coffee. A lot with more floral notes and light roasts then compared to other cafes in the area. A pleasant pastry selection and wifi.

Nice store and definitely try the Mexican Hot Chocolate or other specially drinks. But dont expect top-notch classic espresso drinks.
