Called to put in a large order. They didnt have one of the items we ordered but that happens sometimes. But they didnt bother to call us back to tell us, so one of the people in our group had an incomplete meal. If this happens, then you should really let us know so we can make another choice. Then I ordered the chicken karaage appetizer. It was ~$5 and there was literally 6 pieces of chicken approx the size of a quarter. I asked the waitress if this was the correct portion, and she said yes. They were dry and inedible. I had the yaki-soba with chicken and vegetables. There was barely any chicken and overly done with vegetables. Also, when we got there at the pick up time, we had to wait an additional 25 mins. The only thing that was decent was the sushi, which is why I gave it 2 stars.

I have eaten here a total of two times. The first time was a decent experience but the sushi taste was nothing special. I have had much better for the same price elsewhere. (i.e. Sushi Zone in campbell) The second experience was a terrible one. I phone in an order to go with using their online menu. They have a menu thats entirely out of date on their site with prices that are way off from what they actually are. Almost bate and switch if you ask me. I ordered what I thought was 30 dollars worth and it ended up being 50+. When confronted about their website and pricing they had no sympathy for their customers and couldnt even offer me a coupon as compensation for my troubles. I would not recommend this place if you are looking for an affordable good tasting meal.

Solid sushi, solid service, solid food quality. I really enjoy that staff knew us from our third visit. Its not a big restaurant but weve always been seated quickly. The restaurant is clean, and I like the hot washcloths before eating. My favorite is the Una Juu, but everything is good. That does mean everything is freshly made, you need to be patient. But personally Id rather wait for fresh sushi, than get tired bits waiting for a customer. My family comes here often!

Awesome Customer service! Great mom n pop place very clean place inside plenty of seating area , great food I had the lunchbox and Udon noodles very satisfied and full, Large portion ,more than I expected for the lunchbox barely fit the udon in the end lol . They also have a bar seating area by the sushi chef if your into it you can see the chef working his magic

Food quality: mediocre at best. Miso soup was too salty (MSG?), salmon teriyaki was bland. Came with some uncooked broccoli. The service was OK, but not attentive or helpful. Its also a bit overpriced here, considering what we got for the foods, both in terms of quality & quantity. I wouldnt come back.

I go to Sushi Okawa on a monthly basis. Tonight was a little different. They told me the wait was 30 mins. Well I dont mind the wait.The problem was they kept calling people who had their name after us. The friend got mad and we ended up not eating here. Way to go Sushi Okawa ! Disappointment

My wife and I go here alot. We love the Sushi and Sam, Diane and the crew are the best. For a special experience, sit at the Sushi bar, tell Sam what you like and let him surprise you. Its the finest, freshest and best presented Sushi around. ...finish with an Uni shooter.

I have been to many japanese places. Sams little place here is one I return to often. The availability of some of my unique favorates and a rotating selection of less common dishes keeps this place from becoming just another Japanese place.

It was a little expensive (compared to other Japanese restaurants) and I got a little annoyed about the flies that were flying around my food. It might be because they left the door open. Other than that, the food was fine.

Hands down one of the best places to enjoy traditional sushi. You have to sit at the bar and let Sam make his tasty creations for you. You will not be disappointed!
