This is a complaint about the experience I had last night (3/20/13) not SP Square overall which I think is really coming into its own. I ordered a beer and a glass of wine for my wife. My wife immediately noticed that the wine was corked. I got a bartenders attention and told him it was corked. He told me that was impossible because he just opened it. I tried to explain that it didnt matter and he got super defensive calling me "bro" and again explaining that he just opened the bottle of wine. I told him he should taste it if he didnt believe me. The other patrons at the bar were starting to get uncomfortable as we had this little standoff. I finally asked if he was seriously not going to replace it and he gave me "Shhah bro, Ill replace it" and begrudgingly replaced it from a new bottle. I was shocked that a bartender could be so ignorant of a common problem with wine. He shouldve just set the bottle aside to send it back to the distributor and problem solved. There was no need and no financial reason to be so defensive and unprofessional. I regret that I left a tip before we noticed that the wine was corked because it was the worst professional bar service Ive ever received.

Expensive, average food from most of the shops relative to the cost. Drinks arent cheap either. But the selection means everyone is happy, and its a nice lively place for a drink. Think a slightly upscale food court. Not a bad way to kill an evening at all. Avoid the arepas, by the way. They dont have a presence on google and its probably for the best. Ive had arepas from all around the country and these were by far the worst, most low effort ones Ive had. Reheated pork, a stale tomato slice that would have been fresher at McDonalds, and some basic chipotle mayo.. all for $10. Are you kidding? I would expect them do it at least halfway decent and have more ingredients involved for that much. Its a shame, because nobody else seems to do them around here.

Went to San Pedro Square to celebrate a friends birthday and watch the Warriors game. Got a table fairly quickly and live music was playing. Hard to have conversation while the music was playing but not complaining as I enjoyed the music. There was a Sharks game that night too so there were lots of people there getting drinks before heading to the SAP center. Had a wide variety of food and drink selection. Had a delicious poke bowl with several whiskey neats to accompany. Afterwards we went to a bar around the corner and ended up playing a game of beer pong. Whether its date night or you are in a big group of people, this is the place to go as there are several different selections for food to satisfy everyones craving.

One of my most favorite places in all of San Jose! There is something there for everyone from good artisan pizza, craft brews, crepes, an ice cream truck with karaoke, and so much more to offer! The price range is a little higher than a lot of places around, but most of the restaurants offer high quality food with friend, friend customer service. Even the water has highly sought out for with various flavored waters throughout: strawberry + orange and kiwi -- yum! This is definately a place to take your friends out to at night when the outdoor courtyard becomes a place for everyone to hangout and enjoy a good beer with each other.

This place is like the classiest food court youve ever been to. Theres a nice bar with good beer and wine selections and mixed drinks too. There are two buildings with lots of choices on food in both period in the summer time theres live music on Thursday Friday Saturday nights. They always have some game on the TVs, Warriors Giants Niners. Its a great spot for families because everyone can get something they like to eat and then sit together at a community table. Theres a big parking garage right across the street thats either free or very affordable. It is a great spot in San Jose!

How had I never been here before this past weekend? A prerequisite to living in the South Bay should be coming to San Pedro Square Market - it is seriously the BEST place in San Jose and will likely become my go to spot on weekends and evenings from this point forward. So far, I have only tried the Cheese Shoppe and Market Beer Co. but I could tell that delicious food and drink were definitely a requirement towards having a spot here. If you have not been here, you are absolutely missing out. This might just be my new favorite place in the South Bay.

This is the only place I like eating at when Im in downtown San Jose. Its not just the variety, but the quality to price ratio is insanely good at the restaurants here. Its usually packed and loud, and the main seating area has large communal takes for eating at, but if you can get past those things then this is the place to eat and drink at in downtown SJ. The parking lot across the street is the best place to park, especially on the weekend if you can find a spot. Dont forget to get your parking ticket validated if you do park there.

This food court is not just for hipsters, but everyone including local government workers. Nice spacious lot with two complex filled with food stalls. You can sit outside open-fire patio, or inside if you can grab a table before lunch crowd. Indoor ATM on site with alcohol venue doing away with beer and wine. In addition to food, theres a barber shop too. Great way to snack before heading to SJ Mineta airport as I travel back and forth bi-weekly.

This place is great. They have a variety of different restaurants, so you can pretty much find whatever your looking for. They have a nice outdoor environment. Excellent place to go with friends, groups or even solo. Every Friday they even have a farmers market with some pretty cool stuff. You can buy really nice flowers for $5 and up. If you havent given this place a try I recommend you give it a shot. Btw the Nitro coffee is awesome.

Love San Pedro Market. Was excited to hear about it back before it opened, so glad when it did and have enjoyed the growth there over the last few years. Very good food and drink variety and quality. Love the Beer Market, Bray, Konjoe Burger, Bocca Lupo, B2 Coffee... and having the farmers market along San Pedro Street during the summer. Great vibe, community spot, nice crowd, great anytime, especially before Sharks games.

San Joses much smaller version of SFs Ferry building, obviously without the bay view. Although the footprint appears smaller, the crowds certainly are not. This place is humming. Its become a popular destination for young families during evenings and weekends, as well as professionals on a lunch break or grabbing a drink and meal after work. Enjoy the live music on the weekends. Fun indoor and outdoor space.

I love this place for the options and overall quality of foods you can get here. I could complain about high prices but I would just be whining (but they are generally high). Its a great place for groups as all the vendors are counter service where you pay as you order. Most have buzzers to let you know your food is ready. Order what you want and meet up with your friends at one of the bars for a drink.
