For a corporate dinner we booked their private room near the bar. It was a nice setup since it was private but not isolated. I had quite a few cocktails and they were all very good. Even beet and cucumber! Though I must admit I do love beets. If you dont, the drink might not be for you. There were lots of appetizers on the table, and I enjoyed all of them. However, the rabbit starter was just ok. It came with a large brioche, which made this dish bigger and more filling than a starter should be. Moreover, it didnt taste any special. For the main I had tuna per servers recommendation. The plate looked like a work of art, but the tuna was bland... if it were not for the sauces around it, I wouldnt have enjoyed it. I picked summer squash as a side (I dont go to company dinners often. So yes, I had a lot of food!) and it was delicious. Right size, plenty of flavor and nice combination of texture from cheese and bacon. Then there were desserts... lots of them. All of them! At that point I was too full and intoxicated to truly enjoy or judge them. But I think they were all quite good... you wont go wrong with any of them.

This place is known for their bar, dinner. But since its a pricier place we decided to try out their brunch first. Not hard to get a reservation at prime time on a Sunday which is nice. Great atmosphere, awesome service and you can pay using opentable! They started us off with complimentary smoothie shot and a raspberry pastry. Both were amazing and got me salivating and opened up my stomach for more food. Must get: tuna tartare!!! Sooooooo good and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the pancakes and they did not disappoint! Contrary to normal pancakes, these were a bit thicker, fluffier but with some burnt crispy edges. YUM! Just the way I like them. There was also strawberries stuffed in them making it less bland and mundane. However it was a Huge portion and I couldnt finish it without help. We also ordered the braised short ribs with fried egg. The ribs sauce was too salty but the meat was super tender and fell off the bone. Unfortunately the price was probably 1.5x more than other brunch places. Id come back, a good place to hang out and get some drinks too.

Easy access off the San Francisco caltrain station. Maybe a three minute walk away. The entrance feels somewhat hidden but the sign gives it away. Valet is $18 if you want convenient parking. The interior is pretty modern and pleasant. Service is great. Very attentive and courteous. Never had an empty glass of water. The food is good but at the given price point I expected something better. I got the SF restaurant week steak, mushroom ravioli, salted brownie dessert. Mushroom was super good. Steak wasnt up to expectations..I think it was over cooked in my opinion but the sauce was super tasty. Dessert was good but not great. I decided to splurge a little and try the foie gras with my steak. I can see why people like it but not worth the 22$.

Short rib entree was great. I wanted to love this place, but either we came on an off night or things are wildly out of wack from whats presented on the menu. With a group of about seven co-workers attempting to order assorted dishes and wine, we found: - There was no foie gras. - There was no Wagyu Beef. - There was no lobster bisque; they offered chowder instead. - The wine my friend selected was unavailable, so they swapped in something else. The upstairs ambiance is great, downstairs a little befuddling, felt out of place with the rest of the establishment. The food we did receive was excellent, but somethings going on with their ingredient sourcing or up-front informing of clientele on dish availability. Prices are a bit high.

A really romantic, classy bar tucked away in the alley. Ive actually never dined upstairs, but downstairs is beautiful. Plenty of seating makes this place a great place for meetups or company drinkings/mingling. Theres two floating fireplaces with comfortable seating on one side, while the other has small, cozy rooms with seating for more intimate groups. Valet parking is also available and here is a small menu for food downstairs. They also have some good happy hour selections too. The only downside to this place is the bartenders always seem to be too busy to take orders (or perhaps preferentially take orders from certain customers over others).

All that can be said about the fabulous space, approachable atmosphere, and impeccable service is secondary to the meal. The grilled octopus starter with blood orange emulsion, hazelnut streusel, and baby arugula was unlike anything I had ever eaten and was simply delicious. The presentation of the plates was beautiful. Some elements of the dishes were simply prepared, in-season produce and some had elevated, deconstructed approaches; the entire meal was perfectly executed and fun! The servers wine pairing suggestions were on point and, again, the timing was impeccable throughout the meal. Highly recommend.

This place was really good. The décor was nice with exposed bricks and beams and low lighting. The service was really good. Our server was knowledgeable not just about the food but even the ingredients used. He was really friendly and made some great recommendations. My girlfriend and I wound up spending $180 before tip so its not cheap, but we had two appetizers, two meals a side and two drinks each so I was expecting to pay a lot. We were completely stuffed on that. This place would be great for a date or special occasion. I would definitely put it on the short list of places for a nice corporate event.

Ive been to 25 Lusk twice - once at the bar for drinks and another for dinner. The bar/lounge area is nice and has good ambiance. There are a couple of fireplaces with comfy couches around them. The bar gets very crowded and breaks the flow of the room, however, since its located right by the stairs. You can also have dinner down at the bar (there is a communal table) if the upstairs dining room doesnt have enough room. The food is slightly overpriced for the quality. Theres nothing too inventive about the menu. For that kind of money, Id rather go to Marlowe for better food and wine.

1. Wierd layout that discourages mingling. However, it is good for isolated groups to hang out together. 2. Poor bar staff: they have some pro bartendress but she takes forever to make a drink. There was some other staff around the bar but not being helpful. A woman was at the waitstaff station not doing much since it was slow, yet she refused to make drinks for customers who asked her at the bar. 3. The most important part: pretty dead on a Friday night at prime time. Personally, I got sleepy - dead music, dead staff, dead crowd. When my group moved elsewhere I woke right up.

Twenty Five Lusk is a typical awesome SOMA experience. Theres a club section where the startup founders go to have fun, and its quite hip and happening. What I personally enjoy even more however is their wonderful restaurant section. The ambiance is cosy, romantic and high class - the food selection is absolutely stunning and easily one of the top 10 restaurants on this side of San Francisco, and of course as you would expect they have a wonderful drinks selection here as well. Highly recommend it if youre looking for a fun, or original night out
