Over the past 6 months, American Kitchen has become our Friday night family dinner spot. We come through the tunnel from Oakland to visit. Wife just discovered the shrimp scampi over polenta. Its now going to be her go to comfort food dish. We really dig the family friendly, casual atmosphere. The food has never disappointed.

I had the chicken sandwich with mixed greens for lunch, and it was great! Good juicy portions of chicken, with a cornmeal crust. And the greens had the perfect amount of vinaigrette. Quick turn around time and friendly staff... Definitely worth coming back to.

We went for brunch on this busy sunday morning, our waiter Christian was absolutely amazing and very attentive, next time we go back we hope he can wait on us. Food was good, place was nice. But this server made our day! Thank you so much Christian!

We took all of the moms in my family there for Mothers Day and it was a great experience. The service and food were first rate. I recommend you make reservations for Mothers Day or youll be waiting outside. Not cool for the moms.

American Kitchen has a cool space - the outdoor patio is wonderful on a nice day. However, after having lunch here I am disappointed. Service was lacking, and we left hungry after our $14 and $15 salads felt more like appetizers.

Had the meatloaf while I was there. I enjoyed the patio area. Plenty of people and a dog friendly. Staff was nice and all around a good place in an enjoyable neighborhood with lots of other restaurants and shops to offer.
