Im writing this as I eat there, and Im going to update the review as I go. So far, Im not very hopeful. I had to stop the waiter from leaving twice to continue my order. He couldnt get away from the table fast enough; and since I am literally the one customer, it wasnt because hes busy. I already know my request for extra spicy was ignored. I just sent the curry back. It wasnt even close to spicy, let alone extra spicy. Lets see how it comes out the second time. Additionally, the beer is warm and the rice is very salty. Im not getting why it has such good ratings. OK, they brought the curry back and its VERY hot. Unfortunately, Im basically done, yet no one has checked on me. One guy is reading the paper and the other is just looking out of the window. I will have to ask them for a box and my check. This is NOT OK. Bad service. The curry is fine. The onion naan is typical. The rice is salty, as I said before. I wont come back. Why should I when there are so many better Indian restaurants in the area? I would give the curry a 4 out of 5 (well, 3.75) put the service and rice were 1.75 at best, with the naan being maybe a 3. Overall, Im going to give the 2 stars. If this werent SF I might give them 3, but not with a dozen better places close by. Better service, even, would have been enough to raise it a little

Wife and I stopped in with a Groupon for $20 at 6:00 pm. Place was completely deserted, and buffet from lunch still had some food residual on it. My wife went to go use the bathroom, and there was no toilet paper. After asking for some, the host/waiter went in to replace it, and found that someone pissed all over the toilet paper roll holder. Afterwards, the host only rinsed his hands, and didnt wash with soap. He apologized, but used the excuse that it "was really busy earlier". This excuse doesnt fly, especially considering there was no one in there. The food was really good, but how do you screw up Indian food? When we got the bill, the waiter argued with us about the dollar value of the Groupon. We had to fight for the whole $20 value, in which the Groupon was valid for. He tried to tell us, we got half off one entree today, and the other one tomorrow. I couldnt believe it. He finally caved after we read the Groupon aloud twice. On our way out, he told us he was a new employee (which I dont believe), most likely in an effort to ice over his attempt to treat us unfairly. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I have not had their lunch buffet, so I cant speak to that, but their dinners are very good. Nothing is too spicy or too salty, a common problem with Indian cuisine, I find. And everything is very filling despite what appears to be small portions at first glance. I think they mostly cater to the lunch crowd, so at dinner time it tends to be really quiet and often empty. But dont be fooled, its not because the food isnt good -- quite the contrary.

Food was strictly okay. I ordered mushroom mutter and when they served, it didnt have mutter in it!!! taste was ok. My order: Onion bhaji, Mushroom mutter, garlic naav, mango kulfi Onion bhaji was little salty. Mushroom mutter didnt have mushroom in it. and they took too much time to serve mango kulfi so canceled the order. Overall, not a great place. Definitely NOT the great food, took lot of time to serve. Also the place was very gloomy.

This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in SF. Im not quite sure why some other reviewers have posted that its awful, when in comparison to other places in SF, this might be one of the best. Ive tried just about every indian buffet in SF and this one has the most flavor, spice, and selection of my favorite dishes. Im a fan of naan and curry as well for their selection, but their food doesnt hold a candle to the food here.

Following on line reviews we went there for dinner. There was only two other customers. The place was very smelly not in an appetizing way and overall appearance shabby, looked like it could do with a good clean. I would not eat there no matter how good reviews were if they cant keep it clean on the outside I can imagine what the kitchens would be like.

Horrendously bad food...should have known when the restaurant was empty at 7 in the evening when all others were packed...Lamb Biriyani was smelling strange and tasted bad. Half a Tandoori chicken undercooked and laced with color...and blaring bad punjabi music (yo yo honey singh variety) made it an overall terrible experience

While Ive never actually been to the restaurant, I order from here on a weekly basis. Its definitely the best Indian food Ive found in this part of the city. Delivery is usually pretty quick (45 min), staff is friendly. A little pricey for Indian delivery but the Chicken Tikka Marsala is delicious and the portions are huge.

Selection is ok, though they dont have a lot. What they do offer is tasty, but service is lacking. Priced well for the quality of food, but youre left without much being offered from the staff for your meals duration

Ordered kashmiri naan and chana masala for dinner from from this restaurant. The food had weird taste, and no where it tested like an indian dish. I had to throw out entire food and order from somewhere else.

Sunny, does it all. Fabulous Punjabi food. A favorite dish here is chicken tandori with peppers & onions. Another favorite is mix-veggies with nam rice. I recommend a cup of tea - chia

The chicken and lamb korma are amazing! The staff is always incredibly nice. This place is great for eating in or take out and the lunch buffet is a great value.
