This place is RACIST! I went there on Friday, March 16, 2011 with a group of about 15 people. I was standing in line to use the restroom for approximately 7-10 minutes, and was cut in line by a white woman. I vocalized that I was in line to use the restroom next and she refused to move. The bar owner/manager - a woman named Jen was brought over, I explained to her that I had been in line and many people had seen me in line. She said she did not care, and to let the woman go and I could go to use the porta pottie outside. I, an Indian woman explained to her that why should I go use the restroom outside when I was a paying customer, and she didnt tell the other woman to go outside. She said she didnt care and walked away. I was rightly very upset, but all my co-workers told me to forget about her and just have a good time. So I let the incident go, until later that evening I tried to order a grilled cheese sandwich from the food pick up area. Upon trying to order I was informed that I should go to the bar and place my order and then come back and pick it up. I went to the bar as I was told, placed and paid for my order and went back to the window. A few minutes later, I was asked for my receipt and informed that "Jen" wanted to see my receipt and make sure that I had paid for my order. No one else was asked to show there receipt, confirming my belief that this place is a RACIST establishment. In addition, all she had to do if she wanted to verify an order was check with her bartender, rather then force only me to show proof of payment. I will NEVER come back to this awful place again, and recommend to everyone to not support this establishment.

Ive been here probably 20-30 times and every time but one was an average to good experience. The reason I am providing a rating of 1-star is because a bartender was aggressive towards me. I should provide some context to the story so you can better understand the circumstances from both sides. I was in a group of 5 and we were watching some sporting even, so the bar was packed. It was loud, crowded, and Im sure the staff were stressed. Its still no excuse to be rude to a customer and in any other job they would get reprimanded for whats about to follow. We have been ordering from the same bartender for a few hours now. I waited patiently and asked the bartender for 5 beers. He yells at me "No, you have to wait. You didnt tip me last time!". I was shocked, but how rude this employee was to me. I told him while nervously laughing, "I did tip you" and he claimed again that I didnt. Ive never had this happen to me before. Either this was the first time I forgot to tip or he was mistaken. In any case, the damage was done and Ill never go back to this place. Im positive not everyone will experience what I did, but it did happen to me.

We expected more from this place than what we got. There was a "please wait to be seated" sign at the front door, but we stood there ignored while two waitresses carried on a conversation and wrapped silveware. People I the kitchen saw us standing there and said nothing. The bartender saw us standing there and said nothing. We should have left then but we were starving and didnt know the area that well, so we took our chances and stayed. I approached a waitress and asked if we should seat ourselves. She said that would be fine. When I mentioned the sign that contradicted that advice she said that was for earlier I the day. I should point out that the sign would be easy to move so as to avoid confusion. At any rate, the menu was limited and nowhere near as "Irish" as the name of the bar would have you believe. My husbands food was prepared incorrectly and had to be made again. I ordered the shepherds pie and it was decent. It may have been an off night or maybe we just didn get I because we arent locals, but it simply wasnt the bar or dining experience I expected.

I came here with my friend and a couple of co-workers just to hang out a bit after work. The atmosphere of this bar was decent. There werent too many people, which was a good thing and it was brightly lit. We sat down and got drinks for happy hour. I got Budweiser and it came out in a red bottle. We also ordered fries and a second round after finishing our first. The fries were all right. It wasnt bad and it wasnt good. It was something to eat while you drink and talk. Surprisingly, there was someone throwing up in the bathroom already at like 6pm on a Monday. Someone had a tough day at work lol.

I walked in to watch the England vs. Germany match during lunch. A waitress at this "Sports Bar" tells me that they do not have the channel that the game is on. "A lot of people have asked" she says. I get back to my office to find that the game was streaming online on ESPN3. So I watched the rest of the game from my desk. The bar is nice, the food is fine, and the people are well-behaved (during lunch). However claiming on your website to be "the best Irish sports bar in the financial district" and not making an effort to show the game? Pretty weak.

We just left there an hour ago and I have to say, the service this Sunday was horrible. Having never been there before, I will never go back. We sat down, ordered water (never received) and our waitress (not Bronagh) never came back. Had to go to the bar 15 minutes later to order beers and nachos (which was cheez-wiz low-end for $11). Horrible horrible service. We never ate there given the poor nachos and service. Ended up at Stefs not too far away. Go somewhere else than this place if you want better service and food.

We used to come here weekly for lunch but the head waitress/bartender lady got a little catty when we didnt tip one time.. Shhheeeesh. A little friendly customer service goes a long way. Shout-out to the cooks!!! They make all the food and no credit for it and they can be really busy and still get it off. They even bring our food over to us and are super nice Best deal is chicken nachos during happy hour with an IPA mmmmmm!

My favorite bar/pub in the FiDi. This place is off the beaten path and seating is typically easy after happy hour, weekdays (good until seven oclock M-F). This is not the place for cocktails but definitely the right spot for Carlsberg on tap. Food is also good and certain items are subject to happy hour pricing. A mere four blocks from Montgomery BART, IT is commuter friendly.

The waitress thought my friend was drunk and refused to serve any of us alcohol. Spoiler, no one was drunk, just clumsy. Also we just came by for food, not alcohol anyways, but we didnt even get a chance to say that. That too right after she broke another customers glass. Its no wonder the place was empty with this kind of service.
