Weve gone there in the past and found the pizza to be at least acceptable. Tonight however? The service was really poor. However I first want to mention that I am an easy going kind of fellow. That it takes a lot for me to even complain mildly about a restaurant. So as you read this unflattering review of The Pizza Joint? Keep that in mind. In short, I only complain when the service or food is really bad. In this case it was the very poor service. Also keep in mind that I have much respect and admiration of working people. Thus I almost always refuse to complain. Because I know how hard people work. Especially for the typically low wages restaurant workers are paid for all if their hard work. But back to The Pizza Joint, The main problem stems from the manager. He a somewhat tall jerk with short brown hair. Maybe a mustache but maybe not. A condescending, bossy know-it-all who talks down to both his staff and his customers too. As someone said here in an earlier review "the employees were inflexible". To which I say YES! Yes the staff is very inflexible. And again this traces back to the manager. Of which Ill mention more in a bit. My spaghetti was served almost cold. So I asked the main waitress, an otherwise pleasant young Black woman if she would kindly reheat my dish. She refused under the condition of avoiding "cross contamination". "Earth to Apollo! Earth to astronauts"! - Any oven heated to 400° will KILL all bacteria and fungi. It was kinda like the waitress was fishing for lame excuses. She couldnt take even a couple seconds to put my dish back in the oven. However I suspect that she was just following the rules. As the manager is very strict. Indeed he would much rather piss-off good repeat customers than act like a half decent person. My God! What kind of idiot would knowingly serve a restaurant patron cold food???? It was at this point when our party decided to pack up our meals because I wasnt about to eat cold spaghetti. I figured that The Pizza Joint was one of those places run by over zealous fools who must abide by sensless and overly strict rules. Which of course is true. But... But the manager wouldnt allow my request for some scotch tape to seal up my spaghetti take home plate! Incredible?!! In other words my to go food couldnt be safely sealed so to prevent spillage on the way back home! Incredible huh? Exasperated I later turned to the somewhat kinder waitress (the one who refused to heat the food which she had served COLD!!) and asked for just a brown paper bag. Of which she obliged but her manager (that same prick who refused my request for tape), actually balled out the waitress for not charging us for the brown bags!! Now I dont even mind paying for a bag but the managers refusal to help us should have set off alarms in his head. He should have realized that he and his staff had inconvenienced my party. Of which we represented repeat business. A lot of young people, as well as the more mature do not understand the concept of, A. Customer satisfaction And, B. Value of repeat business. Again my party had been frequent customers. Not so much because the food is so good. In fact its just average. But because we enjoy playing the old fashioned "Ms Pac Man" video game inside the shop. We wont be going there for dinner or lunch ever again. That and the manager seemed to be hot-headed. I felt like if I had complained about the service that he would go ballistic. You know how it is folks, When youre going out to eat and party with friends you really dont want to get into an argument with the restaurant staff. And again I think people reading this review ought to take it seriously. Because as I stated above and first and foremost, Im usually one of the last kinds of persons who complains about the service in restaurants.

The employees here are rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. I ordered a pizza online through their website. The confirmation said that pickup would be ready in 15-30 minutes. To be on the safe side, I waited 30 minutes to go pick up my pizza. When I got there, the cashier was busy talking to someone who I initially assumed was a customer. She didnt acknowledge me or even bother to say hello. After 10 minutes of frivolous chit chat, the guy who I assumed was a customer left, saying, "See you after work." Which indicated to me that he wasnt a customer after all. The cashier finally said hello to me and asked how she could help. I told her I was there to pick up my order, and she asked me what I had ordered. I told her what I had gotten, then she goes over to her computer, looks up my order, and prints out the ticket. Then she says to me, "Oh its going to be another 30 minutes before your order is ready. Is that okay?" Absolutely not!!! The restaurant wasnt even busy and my order should have been ready for pick up when I arrived. The incompetent cashier was too busy chatting with her boyfriend or whatever to do her job correctly and check incoming online orders, which resulted in my order not being made. Needless to say, I declined waiting the extra 30 minutes. I might have given them a chance if the cashier had apologized for her unprofessional and incompetent behavior, which resulted in the delay of my order; however she was too dumb to even offer an apology, which ended up in them losing my business.

Called an hour after they opened and they told me to call me back because the cashier wasnt there . Called back and ordered, repeated my address over 5 times, spelled everything out. The person who took my order barely payed attention to what I was saying. 1 hour and a half after waiting called back they told me the driver was on the way. 2 hours and half they told me they came to my house and no one answered the door. They got the wrong address!!!! Went to pick up my pizza insead. AVOID

I ordered a pizza last nite for the first time for delivery @ 6:50 pm and we did not get the pizza until 8:30 pm. It was such a horrible experience. Only if I did not have 3 little hungry kids I would return the food. The Pizza and the rest of the food were already cold. !!!!!!!! I am going further about the complain and will call the Pizza Joint Manager to make sure that this does not happen.!!! I dont care how busy they are...but delivering cold food is WRONG!!!

Their pizza is good, but their service is bad. Granted, my most recent experience is on New Years Eve, but my order took two hours when I was told 30 to 45 minutes, and the delivery driver blatantly lied to my face, telling me what he gave me was a 14" pizza (what I paid for). when it was obviously a 12" pizza. By the time i got it, I decided, "To hell with it." Again, their pizza is good, but I will not order from them anymore due to multiple bad experiences.
