Tsukemen ramen, where have you been all my life? Ill never be able to answer that question but all I know is you showed up at a time when I needed you the most. On a Saturday when it was freezing outside, you comforted all my belly worries. In all seriousness, this place kicks butt. I can see why theres always a wait or long line because the ramen is amazing. You can get the tradition stuff or work for your food by getting the tsukemen ramen. They give you a bowl of fresh warm noodles and another bowl of Rich, decadent pork broth. I chose the spicy to turn up the heat a bit. From there, I dipped and slurped my way to fullness. I didnt think the noodles would stand up so well throughout meal, but they kept their consistent texture throughout. Also, get the takoyaki if you need a little extra food. Actually, get the takoyaki if you dont need a little extra food anyways because youll eat. Its fried doughy balls of squid so you cant really go wrong. Their toppings on it really make the dish. Im sure we got lucky to get seated after a few minutes and that isnt the norm here. So arrive, be patient and youll have one of the best ramen experiences in the city filled with hyped up restaurants. 12/10 would come back immediately.

Iza demarcates the midway point in my misguided mission to try five of the new ramen shops that have recently opened up in SF, if we ignore the fact that Ive tried them a number of times before, in their days as a pop-up at Blowfish. And, well, not much has really changed (and this is a good thing)! Their regular Iza ramen broth was still as rich, complex, and flavorful as ever, though not as creamy as I remember, and with a much more prominent (but enjoyably so) bonito flavor this time around. And while I found my soft-boiled egg and my chashu a tiny bit overdone, the noodles were cooked just right, for that perfect springiness. There was, surprisingly, no line when I showed up at 6pm on a Saturday night, but easily 20-some people waiting by the time I left, almost two hours later. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - While theres a slight grade to get to the restaurant, youll find that the inside is pretty accessible, with plenty of two tops within easy reach. That said, their tables, albeit standard height, have side walls that effectively lower the clearance by a good 5-6 inches, which might make it difficult for some folks to pull in completely under the tables. Bathroom - Didnt try them.

If youre craving for ramen (either noodles in broth or tsukemen style) and dont want to wait in line, this is the place for it! I came for lunch with two friends we ordered a tsukemen, a spicy iza ramen and a rice dish. We were all really happy with the broth. It was flavorful and you can tell whatever meats and veges and spices they threw into the soup, the flavors have all come out and concocted a soup that makes you feel like home. Ramen is such comfort food when it is good. The one downside to this restaurant was the service when we went for Sunday lunch was way too fast! We sat down, ordered, the food was there in 5 minutes and when we were done the server kept wanting to give us the check even though we didnt ask for it. There wasnt a line or anyone waiting for a table and when we wanted dessert, the server didnt seem too happy. Maybe it was just a bad day for her. Overall, definitely a good option for Ramen in SF.

친구의 소개로 저녁을 먹었는데 츠케맨 정말 맛있었습니다. 솔직히 다른 음식은 뭐 정말 특별하다 이런건 못 느꼇지만 라면집답게 라면에 충실해서 좋았습니다. I went here with my friends. We ordered notmal ramen and tsukemen? And I am the one who ate tsukemen. It was better than any other places in State! I strongly recomemd you to try dipping ramen. 我今天晚上跟我同學去吃這一家拉麵店。 點了很多小菜跟兩種拉麵,小菜覺得還普普可是他們的拉麵真的跟其他店比起來好吃很多! 我推薦你試試dipping ramen!

This place was great! Everything you would want from a Ramen Restaurant was here! Great food, apps, Japanese beer, awesome music , and great interiors with a lively staff! I personally enjoyed the takoyaki! What sets this one apart from others was just the right amount of sauce and the nice touch of red ginger! The agedashi was awesome too! I had the pleasure of enjoying their dipping noodle! The broth was amazing! The one bummer and maybe its just me but they only give you half an egg for your ramen. I also appreciated that the dipping noodle was freshly boiled because traditionally the noodles are served cold. This was nice because it was especially cold in sf that night we went. All the food came out super quick! Even when they had a fill house. We ordered and had our apps in less than 5 minutes and our food in about 10ish minutes the cadence of service was great and we definitely enjoyed our meal!

Great food and atmosphere! Tried numerous items here and all were the best. I have ate at numerous ramen places around the USA and this one is seriously one of the best I have had the privilege of enjoying. The spicy Iza ramen with the normal amount of noodles will fill most people up, I got the extra half portion (like a $1.50 more) and it was so much. Plus unlike some places they put the extra noodles in at the time of assembling the ramen bowl rather handing me a dry lump of noodles on a plate like so many other places. Only took me one second to find what to drink, they have Sapporo on tap (awesome)!! Other items we tried: garlic version of edamame = great, Chicken Karaage = awesome!, and Chicken pot stickers (dumplings) which were fried slightly crispy style = awesome!! Everyone in my group was happy we stopped here.

Ive been a big fan ever since we stumbled into Blowfish Sushi one day craving Japanese and were convinced by the waitstaff to give the ramen pop up a try. Since then, its been tough to have ramen again, but now I can have it all the time at their permanent location. Theres a good selection of bber, as well as cold and hot appetizers, but ramen is still linited to ramen (regular or spicy) and tskemen (regular or spicy dipping ramen). Its great to see they are still putting focus on the ramen by putting only a few options. There is a few "side" items you can order with the ramen, including garlic sauce and dry seaweed sheets. Cant wait to keep coming here when the weather turns rainy and cold again.

Some of the best ramen I ever had. Its not as salty as many other ramen places. Their meat is so soft and tender, it basically just melts on your tongue. Also love their soft egg, its cooked just right. Theres usually a good wait which makes it pretty cruel since the ramen scent is so obvious when you stand outside. They really take their time to get each bowl or ramen just right and theres even a sign on the door saying that sometimes it may take them 20 minutes to get your food out as they want to make sure it lives up to their high standards - thats a great attitude. Service is very friendly. I like the light hipster vibes here too.

Came here on a Thursday night around 8pm with a group of four. There was a wait, but not a long one, and we were quickly enjoying our food. We shared the takoyaki octopus balls and I had the spicy ramen. The octopus balls were pretty unique, quite savory, and complemented well by the bonito flakes on top. The ramen felt really fresh with a nice kick to it. The bok choi was crunchy, the noodles were al dente, and the entire dish was warm and cozy. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I found this place to be higher quality than most ramen places in the city, Ill definitely come back.
