Very nice people. The food is good & while the prices are fair [similar to downtown & mission st. bistros], its perhaps a little high for Balboa st. & the outer Richmond dist. Its a fairly small room, painted in blue, with two large murals : sort of cold, esp. when they keep the front door open [as they often do]. A nice variety of sandwichs & breakfasts...They no longer make their own pastries, but have the standard muffins & bagels, etc [nice when heated] & their coffee is better than average ...A nice addition to the Balboa st. area....Between three & a half & four stars.....

This newly opened family run cafe is a great addition to the area. Having had both their breakfast & lunch sandwiches plus beverages recently all were very delicious and reasonably priced. Especially like the comfy (overstuffed) seating available, but keep in mind that there is a limited about in this small yet charming cafe. Cherubs as a focal for the decor is a nice touch. The owners/staff are extremely nice and welcoming. Breakfast, Lunch, and Snack menu items, including soft serve ice cream. Metered Street Parking. Free WiFi. #firstreview #first2review #OneSmallStep

Let me break it down in very simple terms: 1. its a locally owned neighborhood cafe run by some really nice people 2. everything is homemade and fresh 3. its a short walk to and from the beach with plenty of street parking 4. while I really liked my greek salad, the others with me were not happy 5. a $9 sandwich is nothing more than two pieces of bread, no sides 6. the place is a bit pricey 7. it is very homey and comfortable Would I go back for lunch, probably not, but would I stop for a cup of coffee.
