This place was amazing! We were on the 49 mile scenic drive and googled for a breakfast place. The good reviews led us to this cafe. The cafe is old fashioned and looks almost a bit run down, but in the cozy, old good way! An old piano invites to hit some keys. There were two super friendly girls at the counter taking our orders. They answered all questions regarding the menu super patiently and just seemed to enjoy working there. We ordered a latte, a cappuccino, a Thai iced, two ham and egg, and one spinach egg cheese breakfast sandwich. In addition we ordered a blueberry crumble and a carrot cake. All was really good! When we asked to get a to-go bag or a container another lady (owner?) immediately offered to wrap it for us. Overall great experience, good food and amazing customer service. If ever in SF again well definitely stop by here!

We found the Garden House Cafe by searching on "coffee houses near me" just outside Golden Gate Park. The first location we came to was closed, so we drove on. The Garden House was just what we needed after a stack of sightseeing, starting-to-get-cranky hours in a car. Generous drinks (albeit we did order the large sizes), good baked goods. Liked the atmosphere; I like anywhere with borrow-books and magazines. Comfortable chairs. Unlikely to go back because were not from here, but very happy to have found it.

Nice place, a peaceful hang out. Has the vibe of a more old fashioned coffee house - feels very down home and welcoming. Good coffee, lots of snacks and small meals, like sandwiches. *Took it down a star because I have always had coffee made by the owner but today I had it made by the youth who works there. It tasted like she ran water through the espresso twice and used the second run for my drink - was so watery and without good rich taste, and very little buzz subsequent.

An ok Cafe. Marginal selection of pastries. While I am used to cafes putting selection of spices out so customers can add to their coffee drink, this place just puts it on the menu and charges you for the spice. Oh, you want cinnamon on your latte? That is a cafe Vienna. Thatll be an extra 50¢. But the drink was good, the "bear claw" was ok, and they let us sit at our table without hassling is, so...

I love the atmosphere of this little coffee shop in the Outer Richmond. The staff is very welcoming, and its a great place to sip some coffee, read a book, or have a nice chat with friends. The food is good too. Ive had their veggie sandwich, soup, and breakfast bagel so far. The breakfast bagel is pretty standard, but everything else was delicious.

The atmosphere was quirky and fun, the lighting was great but the food was below average. We were thrown off after seeing by our eggs being cooked in the microwave. The coffee was average at best, if you manage to drink the first cup they will charge you for refill. The staff was kind but overall the cafe did not live up to the reviews.

I go here all the time to study. It has a relaxing atmosphere with classical music playing in the background. This is not the place to have high energy caffeine fueled marathon debates. Good food, original art and friendly service. The reason it doesnt get a 5 star rating is the prices. Definately pricey.

Ordered a sausage and egg breakfast sandwich today on a bagel and wow!!! Great portions!!! and it was delicious! grease did drip on my pants while I was driving but it was well worth it. The girl working there was very nice as well which only added to the experience. I just might go there tomorrow!

I love this cafe and go at least once a week. It has a very leisurely atmosphere and all of the food is great. Service is friendly, and prices are great when you take into account the generous portions of the sandwiches. Coffee is strong, its an all-around charming place.

Best place for sandwich ever, IMO. Ive been coming here since almost 20 years ago, and I honestly cant remember if Ive even had one thing I didnt like about this place. The service is great, the hazelnut coffee is to die for, and the sandwiches... Youll get fat. :)

Really good choice of options for meat-atarians and vegetarians alike. What was served was incredibly fresh with perfect amount of crumble on my French roll. The only downside share was the lack of toilet facilities (I think there was one stall for all!)

The coffee is OK. The setting is the real reason to visit. Theyve got a very laid-back atmosphere. The coffee shop is divided into 3 distinct seating areas including a back patio thats nice for days when the sun comes out. Last reviewed 8/1/2016.

Charming, with a lovely and quite patio. Coffee is excellent (not too much of a surprise, its "Caffé Trieste" after all). The two ladies at the counter are very kind and sweet. A peaceful oasis. Maybe just a bit rundown in some parts.

Great neighborhood spot. Good food. Fuel up with some Fog lifter blend coffee and walk the trails along the golden coast. The owner is a beautiful kind woman. I moved out of city and still visit periodically.

Wonderful little place: nice, welcoming, quiet, low key. Good food. We were there on a warm sunny day and the garden out back was a nice break from the city.

We loved the service and food at this Cafe. Janette was awesome and looked after us while touring the Coastal Highway by bicycle. Thanks, Janette!
