Very blah food. Surprised because usually yelp doesnt steer me wrong. Old school sort of neighborhood restaurant. Nothing special about the dinner menu, and nothing special about preparation. While not expensive, it was priced like places that I would consider much better. I would have given it 3-stars but service was way off. We were there about 40 minutes before their closing time but they were not busy so we were one of the last tables. They were absolutely rude about attempting to rush us out. Trying to take away plates while they had at least a quarter of the food left - without asking, etc. If I lived right around the corner, Id probably try it again but since I dont I wont. I had a fish dish and a caesar salad. The fish was ok - nothing exciting but fine. The caesar was similar to a just average pizza place - definitely not good restaurant caliber.

Not sure which is more wonderful, the family-like welcome or the pancakes. The pancakes are memorable. I recently had a stack of cornmeal, blueberry ones with lemon curd before a long hike at Point Reyes. Very generous serving and irresistibly delicious. The chocolate chip pancakes are also amazing. Good strong coffee. Lots of families came in while we were there, and this place is very kid friendly.

Doing some site seeing yesterday and saw barefoot cafe and decided to stop in for a glass of wine. Wow, glad we did. Healthy pours of wine, the espresso was to die for. We ordered the fringes (a large plate of both fries and rings). They take a while since the chef makes the rings by hand. Omg were they good. The fries were great too. I would stop hear again without hesitation.

This place is fantastic. I got their "regular chicken salad" on a bike trip, and this was no regular chicken salad. Easily equal, probably better, and larger than anything Ive found at cafes in San Francisco (typically I go to Stable, which is great for SF Mission). They also have a lovely Italian vibe with interesting art, and friendly and welcoming staff :-)).

The food is simply higher quality here! Tony really knows how to cook--their brunches are great, mimosas available, and for dinner be sure to ask about the special warm skirt steak salad (not on menu), its really a meat eaters meal more than a salad, but so delicious that I often cant order anything else.

I made my own scramble, it was amazing. Eggs, avocado, chicken sausage, cheddar cheese, scallions and potatoes. Also, their green sauce is amazing! I got a pancake but only could eat half but it was great, different flavors! My wife also enjoyed her eggs and sausage with the pancakes!

Very good breakfast on the pricey side but this is Marin. Service is good very well managed and upkeep is impeccable. Parking is ok most of the time and Ive had both breakfast and lunch here a number of times. This is one of the better choices in Fairfax.
