Cream is everything its suppose to be. Across from the Roxy and minutes from any bar in the Mission District, The fun is churning before you even walk in, from the logo and decor, to the slogan "cookies rule everything around me." And the best part: IT DOESNT CLOSE TILL MIDNIGHT! . Its a perfect stop, when walking from an evening dinner or strolling the San Fran, with an array of flavors to satisfy any sweet tooth. Fresh Baked cookies, various toppings, and a welcoming assortment of ice cream flavors makes the combination options almost endless. And the best part is its priced so cheap you think you are getting away with something. I went with a simple combo of salted caramel ice cream on top of a warm, chocolate chip cookie. It was great. The only thing that keeps this from getting 5 stars is mainly the employee working. It was Taco Tuesday, with a sign promoting a waffle cone, taco shell layered with ice cream and oreos. But when my partner asked about it, the girl cut him off and with no tone inflection or small explaination, said "we dont have taco shells" Customer service is important to me, but this girls lazy attitude and lack of customer satisfaction couldnt ruin my ice cream sandwich.

Ice cream is good and I like the idea of build-your-owns, but I couldnt get out of here fast enough because the music was SO LOUD our entire family was yelling at each other to discuss options. Get with it, people... Eating ice cream is a social event that cant be properly accomplished if no one can hear each other. When we asked an employee if the music is always this loud, her response was yes, because "the drunk people like it like that." Next time maybe I should make sure my 8 and 10 years olds are drunk before we come in for ice cream at 7:00 and well like it better. No thanks- next time we will go to Mitchells, where we dont have to be drunk to enjoy our ice cream.

Went in on a Saturday night around 11 and there wasnt much of a line. My recommendation - get two different types of cookie and if youre going for a topping, get the hot fudge. Theyll burrow that hot chocolatey deliciousness in the center of your ice cream (like a B&J core, if you keep up with that sort of thing), and then slather it on the cookies too. Was glad the wait wasnt long, after having experienced Apple store lines at the CREAM in Palo Alto. Good place to bring a large group for easy, inexpensive, and satisfying dessert.

Ice cream and cookies, best of both worlds right? Well, this place was just OK for me. The process starts out with picking a cookie and then an ice cream. I got the white chocolate macadamia nut filled with blue berry cheesecake, then rolled in chopped almonds. Now this is why I wasnt into this, the cookie was hard, when biting into it, it was crumbling and breaking, making a mess. I was also hopping for chunks of cheesecake and more blueberry flavor. Great concept idea though.

What a glorious concept--personalized ice cream sandwiches! When we went the line was not long so it was nice to be able to sample a few flavors and make the right choice! The best part is you can get a half order so you are not eating two cookies and a scoop of ice cream. A little tip to feel less guilty! I got half of a double chocolate chip cookie with a half of white macadamia cookie and coffee ice cream. The cookies are warm and the ice cream is flavorful. Yum!

CREAM does custom ice cream sandwiches. You know its gotta be good when there are 3 cops hanging out here talking about which ice cream sandwich is their favorite! We had the Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwich With Turtle Chocolate Caramel Chunk Cookie. Not the tastiest ice cream or cookies ever, (No Diddy Riese), but solid nonetheless and cheap! Love how they let you do a half size because this thing is a beast.

For essentially just selling what makes out to be incredibly delicious ice cream sandwiches, Cream is always packed. You wouldnt think SF needed another Ice Cream shop... But they needed Cream. I dont even get ice cream sandwiches – Im an adult (read: jaded hipster) – instead, a couple of scoops, a few toppings and one of their warm and chewy cookies on the side. Because, gummy bears.

This place is great! The line is never too long, and it moves so quickly! Its also really cheap to get an ice cream sandwich. They give you two big cookies, and a huge scoop of the ice cream that you want. They also have a variety of different types of things you can get, so its great! Ive only gotten the ice cream sandwich and that was fabulous! So good on a hot and sunny day.

Line is long at this place as it is in Palo Alto. At $3.75 its cheap to get the two cookies and ice cream sandwich but Im not so sure if its worth the wait. I tend to get the white chocolate macadamia cookies and chocolate cookie dough for the ice cream. Im still partial to Bi-rite but at least theres another ice cream joint in the neighborhood for more options.

I came here for a change of ice cream. There ice cream is nothing special. I got chocoholic. It tasted like cheap carton ice cream. Even the texture didnt meet my fancy. My ice cream craving was not subdued after this trip. I do appreciate the soy ice cream offered. I think the cookies are what make this place well known. Stars for service too.

I cant walk past an ice cream store without walking in. So many options available here. I went with chocoholic ice cream, with chocolate cookie, marshmallows and choc chips. It was very tasty. The only negative would be that the marshmallows didnt taste fresh, but other than that it was divine. Id definitely recommend stopping by.

Ice cream sandwiches steal the show at Cream, from waffle-based to cookie, brownie, mini-sized, gluten-free, and vegan. There are locations in a few states now, and in addition to this SF shop, theres also a second outpost in Stonestown Galleria. Also, note: Cream caters—and whats more awesome than an ice cream sandwich bar?

CREAM is not a special place, its very standard and its very pricey for the amount of ice cream they serve to you. I would rather go to Humphrey Slocombe or to Garden Creamery, since they actually have inventive and delicious flavors there. CREAM should be renamed for their warm, soft cookies and named COOKIES instead.
