I have been going to Olympic cafe for about 21-22 years. I am never disappointed. The Falafel platter is perfection! ( ask for extra tzatziki sauce!) The service is always fast & friendly. They recently relocated right next door at the old Jersey Joes space. Which is great because they needed the extra room & all the outdoor space has FINALLY been utilized at that spot, as they have added on an enclosed patio seating area. The parking is a little wonky, very few spots & its on a crazy incline that can be hard to maneuver when cars are backed up to order at Colimas. (Awesome taco shop next door btw). But thats not a deal breaker. I do wish with the relocation, they would have put in some booths to make it cozier, but the food is great enough to overlook that. Try one of "Donnas Desserts " while youre there, they are amazing! & all homemade. Great spot for breakfast as well. All in all, a fantastic neighborhood Greek cafe!

Weve ridden past this little bunch of shops on the corner a million times.Someone suggested to us that they make terrific Greek style gyros at the Olympic Cafe so we gave them a try.My wife had a quarter chicken and salad and I ordered a beef and lamb gyros. Both meals arrived very promptly and were certainly large servings. After eating my gyros for a short time I realized I wasnt eating real beef or real lamb but a kind of manufactured balogne. If it wasnt for the tzatziki sauce I poured all over it then it wouldnt have had much natural flavor at all.The meat isnt chewy in the slightest because it isnt real meat.I was pretty disappointed. The service was good, the decor is on the depressing side, the prices are average and the food mediocre. Its a little Mom & Pops cafe for folks with low expectations.

Its just a block around the corner from where I live so perhaps I am bias. This is my "go to" place for breakfast or a coffee and. cake on Saturday mornings. I go there for lunch or dinner The food is always fresh. Its not fancy; just simple good food. The service is friendly and your not rushed when you want to sip coffee and read the paper and if you suddenly have to leave just pay at the counter. Highly recommend the Olympic Cafe for an enjoyable dining spot with friends or alone.

The atmosphere is strictly casual more like eating at a cafeteria perhaps but the food is outstanding! My favorite is the souvlaki plate. A marinated beef shishkebab, full of flavor, on a rice pilaf with a side salad, pita bread and tzatziki sauce for dipping. And all the desserts are made at home by the owners wife, by hand, and are out of this world. Try the baklava. Best Ive ever had! It literally melts in your mouth.

The Olympic Cafe has been my "go-to" Greek place for years. I havent found anywhere else that compares. The food is always flavorful, the portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable to low. Plus, the family that owns and runs it are really nice people who appreciate their customers. Oh, and their breakfasts are amazing, too. Theres something on the menu for everyone in your group. Give it a try.

The food at Olympic is always delicious and most importantly, the service is FAST! My day was so busy and I only had about 15 minutes to get lunch and Olympic Cafe did not let me down. I ordered the Gryo like always and it was in my hands in around 5 minutes. The meat was tasty and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quick, quality food.

The Olympic is a neighborhood treasure. The food is consistently excellent, especially considering the price, and the service is unfailingly good and polite. There are fancier places around, but The Olympic is the kind of place the locals frequent regularly, not just on special occasions. If youre looking for good reasonably priced Greek-American fare, look no further.

We have eaten at Olympic for years. Family owned and operated which makes a huge difference. Greek food like home cooked. Large portions very reasonable prices. Desserts made fresh each day by owners wife. Never a bad meal or service in all the years weve gone. You will not be disappointed. Dont let the simple decor distract you.

Weve been coming to this cafe for 8 years! The food is amazing! Always fresh. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Its a family run business. The owners, their sons & staff are wonderful, friendly people. My favorite dishes are the gyro platter, souvlaki kabobs and the spaghetti with meat sauce. The desserts are great too.

Great place for comfy diner-style Greek-American food. Classic gyros, excellent hummus and pita! Great service as well! Not a fan of the location, but at least its not further east on this avenue. The prices were just a bit on the steep side, but all-in-all the food is worth it.

I love the Olympic...nothing fancy, just really good food, excellent service, and good prices. Same owners since I started going there in 98...and only a few changes in the wait staff. Fresh homemade desserts top off a good meal.

The new location is big and roomy. I went at 6:30 on a weeknight and it was packed, for good reason too. The food is fresh, portions are a good size, and the price is right. Cant say enough how the food is delicious!

Service excellent, food excellent! Cafe style setting. It is not a first date location, rather the place you go when all the pretense is done. The place and people make it seem not like home.

The lemon soup and Gyros Plate are my favorites. The family-owned business treats everyone like family. Inexpensive, great Greek food in North Park!
