Since we just moved near this restau My husband and my 1yr son went to try it. Unfortunately we were so unhappy with everything. First the table was not set properly the mug was up side down on the greasy table. Then the order taker was just so hard to talk to she asked what kind of egg and I said sunny side up and she pointed me what sunny side up looks like, like I was stupid and I said yeah that one and she said oh so you want hard something idk how she called it but we had that convo for a while I mean is that even hard to understand? Then we ask her if they have something that my baby can eat without any dairy, milk and egg. And she was just giving me options like french toast and she said but that one has eggs, and I ask for hashbrown and she was like but they cook it with butter.. and I was like can u just tell ur cook to not put and butter? Ugh and We waited for likr 30 mins for our food we were about to leave but they suddenly bring out our orders. Plus they dnt clean the table they were so greasy. Then we asked for another hot chocolate with the server and he was talking to us while cleaning the table on our side so he was talking to us on his back. We will never go back here again.very bad service

Not impressed, I eat out a decent amount when I travel and I ordered the American Breakfast, with corned beef hash, home fried, sausage, and a blueberry muffin. No corned beef hash, I got hash browns when I asked for home fries. And I even asked the waiter if home fries were the diced potatoes (he said theyre sliced). And I got a blueberry muffin. I understand the waiters English was broken, I can somewhat work with that and be understanding. But it wasnt a complicated order. When I asked another waitress if the corned beef hash came out separate she said you only get 1 meat with the American Breakfast. NO WHERE on the menu did or does it say that! The paragraph above even said "the following entrees come with your choice of sausage or bacon and your choice of toast or blueberry muffin" very very misleading, and for 12.65$ Ill go to Dennys or IHOP next time, which is down the street.

Superb breakfast, great service, in a quaint little building. I went with some friends to this Broken Yolk a few days after going to the location in the Gaslamp Quarter, since it was much closer to our hotel. The Eggs Benedict were some of the best Ive ever had. Prices are not bad at all, especially considering the quality of the food. Despite the restaurant being super popular, we were in and out in no time. Not only was our waitress efficient, but she was also extremely nice. A friendly little place, but with plenty of seating. I highly encourage anyone to visit this place for a quick breakfast, especially those staying at the Wyndham Garden hotel.

Great place to eat at for breakfast or brunch with your family and friends. Order the Golden State Benedict delicious. I ordered it with hash browns in the portion size is very big and generous the taste is amazing. I really like the service they have fast, friendly just about Perfect all around. The water was brought right out to us as soon as we seated, the staff were extremely kind and checked in with us a few times during our brunch! Food here is very good the price is just about right the portions are very generous. Also, try the Mama omelette this is very good as well it has mushrooms in it that are very well flavored.

My husband and I are regulars at Broken Yolk Cafe and Im pretty sure weve been to every single location in San Diego. Their menu offers something for everyone in the family from Omelettes, Benedict, to French Toast and Pancakes; they have it all! I love the fact that they have both Turkey sausage and bacon! My husband usually goes for the Make Your Own Omelette since they have all kinds of cheese, meats, vegetables you can imagine and hes never disappointed there given hes a picky eater! Their portions are huge though, so keep that in mind. Oh, and go for the home fries :)

AWESOME! We were not expecting much cause we were on a budget. The food was reasonably priced, (around 10$ a meal), the portions are generous and there are many items to choose from, I was left filling full, and after you order your food was on the table within 5 minutes... and the place was busy when we went which goes to show how fast it truly was. Our glasses were never empty, every few minutes a friendly waiter would ask if we would like a refill. Over all it was a great meal and a great atmosphere, I would STRONGLY recommend.

Nothing extraordinary. They got both of our orders wrong (gave me the wrong juice and forgot my sausage, thought my wife ordered toast). The food came fairly quick, but was rather expensive and portions are just medium sized (not really enough to split, and definitely not enough for a second meal of leftovers. Bacon was placed on the biscuits and under the gravy, so it was soggy, not crunchy, and the biscuit gravy was not a traditional country gravy flavor. Overall, the food was decent, but probably not worth the price.

El fin de semana hay mucha gente y si vas crudo tal vez no es el mejor lugar. Los platillos son buenos y son flexibles para cambiarte las guarniciones si no quieres llenarte de papas. Los chavos hablan español y son muy amables.

Ive stopped into this location several times. All on the weekends for breakfast/brunch, and never had to make a reservation. Every time, Ive been seated within a minute. Staff can be a bit on the slow side occasionally, but its never unbearable. Maybe 2-3 minutes more than normal. Prices are pretty average. Just about what youd expect from a breakfast place. Overall, I like this location, and will continue to go in the future.

The service was really awesome! Very nice people, but the food was not so great. The waitress brought out cold food at first and had to return it. The cooks looked annoyed and quickly cooked some fresh food. I overheard another gentleman having a bad experience the last time he was here so this has happened before. Just be on your toes if you eat here. Never accept what you dont want.

For 3 adults and 1 child, the bill was $60. Juice is $5 a glass, with no refills. I got french toast, it was good and a decent serving size, but didnt have as much of a cinnamon taste as Im used to. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Walking in, you notice an odd odor, kind of like the smell of old dirty wet sponges. It was okay, but not somewhere Id recommend to anyone.

Sat at the table for 20 minutes and have yet to be asked what we want to drink. They werent even busy and we had two kids with us. I dont think the waiter knew we where seated to his defense and he was still very friendly with me having a little bit of an attitude at first. Stick with the one in pb. Oh and the chicken fried steak comes pre made, who does that still?

Típico restaurante americano! O sanduíche é grande e a salada de batata que acompanha tb é grande! Atendimento muito bom é o preço não é tão barato. Vale a pena.
