The Old Mill Cafe... what can one say? It reminds me of places my grandparents would take me in the 80s. The food is like home-cooking. Actually, it is all stuff that you could very well make at home, but why? With the Old Mill down the street, and the awesome prices, it is perfect for a hearty (not too healthy) breakfast. I often meet an old friend here, He always gets the meaty breakfast. I am not exactly sure what it is called on the menu, but it is eggs, toast, and a lot of breakfast meat. I get the omelet, with chedder cheese and bacon inside. I have never left unsatisfied. Yesterday, I decided to stray away from my regular omelet and went for my favorite kind of sandwhich of all time, the Reuben. It was awful. It made me sad. The meat was far too fatty and tough :( I should have gotten my omelet. The servers are no frills. They are just doing their jobs, but it all goes with the ambiance of the place. It is A-ok! (note to self: just stick with the breakfast.)

My family went to this place this morning for breakfast. And it was a big disappointment. The waitress was rude, the food was definitely not good, pork chops dry no taste, the home fries dry, chicken strips didnt taste like real chicken. The waitress didnt walk us to the table, never came back to check on us. This is the worst experience we ever had.

This place has had numerous owners of the business but has maintained the feel of an old fashioned American diner. The quality of food and service has withstood the passing of time. I have been a customer for 22 years and still enjoy coming in. One of San Diegos treasures!

Cafe food that includes an all day breakfast and daily specials. Food is ok, but not anything special. Service was good and restaurant had about 6 people on a Monday at 6PM. Looks like this might be typical. They do have their own parking lot and parking was super easy.

Its a casual place. The servers are mostly nice. The food is reasonable. Its not a must have place but its really nice if you want to have a conversation with friends over breakfast.

Didnt eat here. Walked in with my family and couldnt stand the foul odor. Dirty dishwater or flooded bathroom smells. Yuck. Couldnt stand it so we left.
