I came to this place a long time ago. Brought my wife in to share what I experienced and was shocked to see how things have changed. Utterly disappointed. Food was wrong to begin with, my wife ordered a Denver omelette and received a straight ham omelette. The guy next to me ordered a sandwich and a Pepsi. 25 minutes later he got his Pepsi and grabbed a omelette from the holding area. The cooks and waitresses were debating on whos order was what. A lot of people were waiting way over thirty minutes for their food. The bus boy (old man) was wearing sandles not shoes and just struggling to do his job. This a downright shame as it appears to have changed owners. Gone are the checkered table cloths and cheery country southern hospitality. If things dont I will never come back nor would I recommend this place to ANYONE else. Oh, on a happy note the coffee was hot.

Ive been here many times for breakfast. They have a claim of the "Worlds Biggest Pancake" and they are very big, probably as big as the plate itself. The bacon and eggs are a staple here and they are very good. I generally ask to get the hashbrowns "crispy" otherwise they seem undercooked to me. The omelets are a healthy portion, they claim to be made of six eggs each and I tend to believe them. The service is helpful and they generally seat you right away. You may have to stop them to get a refill of coffee once the restaurant gets busy. Generally, on Sundays they have NFL or soccer games on the televisions which are in the corners of the building. I really enjoy the breakfasts there and try to come back often.

Wow! Its rare for me to give 5 stars to a "breakfast joint," but between the servers, service, and the sandwich I had for lunch at Family Homestyle Cafe, I was more than happy to hit the "golden buzzer" for straight up satisfaction! My Turkey BLT came with the choice of salad or fries (fries please!) and the raspberry iced tea came in a full sized mug with free refills. And ALL the servers seemed to work as a team, each coming by to make sure everything was perfect... More like a Mortons Steakhouse or Ruths Chris amount of attention and respect, than a small town breakfast and lunch nook! When in, or near, Loma Linda, you really should give Family Homestyle Cafe a try. Dave from Indio

Came to Loma Linda on a business trip and decided to go to this restaurant since it was so close to our training facility. We had a party of 5 we were seated waited a few minutes for our orders to be taken, 20 minutes after we made our order we were told that they had ran out of beef and could not make our chicken fried steak. Our meals were replaced by a turkey bacon sandwich wich we had to gobble down in less than 15 minutes before our training started again. Worst customer service ever, do not recommend at all. If I could give zero stars I would.

We just moved into the area and were looking for a good home-style breakfast place. Got this place off Yelp and am so glad we did. Family Home Style Cafe is just that! Low-key, friendly service, great home-style cooking with outstanding low prices (and the portions are HUGE)! Quick service without feeling rushed to "chow down and move on". I think I brought home more than I ate! I will DEFINITELY be back and will tell all my friends about this hidden treasure. (its tucked into a strip mall). Nice to know family restaurants still exist in So.Cal!

Went there today for breakfast for the first time. Service was OK. Food (breakfast) was OK. Restaurant cleanliness was OK. Price was too high for "just OK." $50.00 (not including tip) for 2 adults and 2 children. Compared to Norms, which would have been around $30 for the same number of people. .....plus good breakfast! If it werent for the high price, I would have rated this place 4 stars. Just my personal opinion. Hope this helps people out. I understand everyone has different experiences and/or expectations.

The waitress was nice. We ordered the meat lovers omlete, the denver omlete, and the fried chicken special. The portions were not huge as everyone exclaimed. I was looking for a southern type family restaurant with big portions but not here. My mashed potatoes was lumpy. The meat lovers omelete was cold that the shredded cheese didnt even get a chance to melt. They have huge glasses for drinks though. Not what I was looking for but they didnt mistreat us. so thats a plus.

Honestly a disappointment . Me and my family drove from fontana just to try this place out and ended walking out 15 min later. We never got greeted . Waite to b seated while the hostest chatted with the other coworker. Finally sat us down. Never got a drink order or brought us kids menus. We waited and was never knowledge so we walk out and found another gem down the street Carolinas Cafe. Now thats a place to try !!!!!!!!!!

Im honestly not so sure what all the hype is about. In the town of Loma Linda, everyone seems to rave on and on about Family Style Cafe. Im not particularly a fan because its just normal food, nothing at all special. To be honest the food quality represents something I can just make at home within 10 minutes and save money. Speaking of money, their prices arent the cheapest for what youre getting.

AMAZING! LOVE LOVE LOVED IT! The staff, the location, the FOOD! The FOOD IS AMAZING! The place was super busy but the wait was very quick and the food came out hot and delicious. The chorizo and egg burrito was perfect. The pancakes were super! Coffee was delicious! The prices are fair. We will stop by every time we pass through Redlands/Loma Linda. Thank you guys!

They let you salt your own food, so nothing is too salty. The portions are HUGE for breakfast. The potatoes are original, like half mashed potatoes fried crisp. Senior menu $8. The sour cream doesnt taste home made. The staff doesnt interrupt your meal. It was a little noisy because they sit people tight and seat large groups. The biscuits and gravy were over cooked.

Pro:Food is reasonably priced. Generous portions. Con: Long wait to be seated, Restaurant half empty. I realized Restaurant was prepping for closure, yet one hour till closing. Whats up with that!? Inexperienced table service. Server lacked on checking up. I have been here a number of times in the past. Pleasant experience then. This visit was a bummer.

Some of the friendliest servers here, you definitely get your moneys worth of food with each plate, and you are always greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome. No matter how large or small your party they welcome you and are ready to serve. The biscuits and gravy are they best, menudo is top of the line, you will never leave hungry and with left overs.

Service was slow. It took a long time to get my menudo (which was horribly bland) that it was lukewarm by the time I got it. Yuck! My husband had to stop eating because his biscuits and gravy where not ready. And he wanted to enjoy his eggs with the biscuits and gravy. Even at check out we had to walk towards the waitress to finally check out and leave.
