Worst experience ever. I love Buca Deppo, But i will never go to the one on 6th Ave. The dishes and silver ware are not clean, I had dried up speghetti sauce in between my fork when I unwrapped my silverware. My cup of water had white stuff stuck to the inside of the cup, it looked like melted chewing gum or something and pieces of it was floating around in my drink. The plates were wet and the bottom of the plates had dried up pieces of food on them. We felt rushed the whole time, they brought out our check without letting us finish our meal. It was my birthday and my friends had to cancel last minute, So I never received my slice of cake, since the policy is you have to have a party of 4 to receive the free birthday cake on your birthday. (thats not their problem that my friends had to cancel, but the way the Manager handled the situation kinda sucked) When the manager brought out our food she seemed like she was in a hurry she talked really fast and literarily walked away as I was asking her for a clean fork to eat my food with. ....soo I sat there for 7 minutes trying to get someones attention, (I noticed no one there makes eye contact they just walk really fast to avoid being asked questions) which in my option is horrible customer service. Finally our waiter came but by them the food wasnt as hot, and i was ready to leave. Worst birthday dinner ever. I went to the Buca in MiraMesa and had absolutely no problems, my silverware was clean, my food was hot, the manger was a lot more professional, and my waiter didnt mind getting us extra napkins or refill our drinks, I rather make the extra trip and drive to MiraMesa Buca. I would definitely recommend this location over the 6th ave location any day.

Great food. Its a bit pricey. I dined by myself though so it may be more economic if your with a group. This is supposed to be family style where you split huge portions. The food is excellent though. Vegitables were perfect. Capers were a great touch. Salty and savory. The wine selection was decent. Many to choose from. If youre feeling Italian, I definately recommend it unless youre scarred of flavor... then go to olive garden. I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is a bit cali Fridays though. Lots of junk memorabilia laying around, but its all Hollywood esq. Gives a tacky fun atmosphere but not super cheap. Just local fun. Good place to take the familly. Okay for a date too. I would go with someone you want to share food with though, but if you have to, you can go alone like me. They were nice enough to cut it down to a half portion. Good people.

Food was delicious. Huge portions. Service was okay. We reserved the table right in the kitchen and even in the middle of the action they seemed to forget about us for the first 10 minutes till a server Finally came by. We received our food in a timely manner but about 10 minutes into eating out party noticed we still hadnt received two dishes we had ordered. At this point we cancelled the remaining order since they hadnt even started cooking it. It was okay. Being from out of town our local hosts raved about this place and the kitchen table but we were all let down after being basically ignored the whole time, had to ask our server for refills and service and to top it all off coffee was about 3.30something a cup no free refills? Lol, didnt notice till the bill came we paid almost 7 dollars for two small, plain cups of what amounted to diner coffee . Would have easily made 5 stars with better service.

Preview night of SDCC, we were in line for Psych the Musical, its about 8pm and were starving. I send my daughter to the Afghani restaurant for a take-out menu, the woman there was extremely rude and refused to give her a take out menu. The line started to move so we had to hold of dinner plans until things settled down again. We spied Buca di Beppo across the street. Quick search on my phone showed they had pizza. I ran across the street and ordered a large pizza to go. About 15 mins later, I ran back to pick it up. They furnished us with paper plates and napkins. Our hunger satisfied, we still had a lot of pizza left. The girl in front of us was eyeing the box and wanted to buy some. When youre in line with other people you share you food and thats what we did, she was grateful and surprised when I refused her money but gave her some pizza.

Service at this location was horrible! Ordered right away after being seated, it wasnt busy but Waited over an 1hr for our food but instead of food the manager came to our table to apologize for the delay and that he will send desert on the house after we ate. We were understanding had dinner 20min later, sat there waiting for desert it never came only our check. We love Buca di Beppo but our local location at City Walk. My photos are of this review a comment from Buca di Beppo reaching out, my response to them and till today I have not heard from anyone. I believe if you didnt provide excellent service and believe me we know its not a perfect world but show us the customer you truly care and reach out if you say you are.

Finally made it to Bucas it was a Saturday night, Im sure the busiest day of the week. Customer service was OUTstanding.. Our server versed us on the menu and portion sizes so that we wouldnt over order. I would have rated 5 Stars but my pasta was a little undercooked, on the flip side what they did to make it right was replace my dish with another and they did not charge us. I was born and raised in the restaurant biz and it is obvious that Corporate spends money training because you cant hire that kind of help these days without investing and training. I left very satisfied knowing I would revisit this establishment..

Food was okay but very expensive for a family of four. The entrees were family style al la carte so we ordered a chicken dish but had to order a side of pasta, the stuffed shells, 2 soft drinks, one beer, a small glass of wine and one dessert. The total came out to 92 bux WITH the 10 for 20 groupon. Waitress was nice, but I would only go again with another family or if I only wanted spaghetti or something. But no, then Id go to spaghetti factory.

There is absolutely nothing Italian about woefully small portions. The prices seem quite high for what they offer, and the service also left much to be desired. The food itself was reasonable, flavourful and fresh (in terms of the mozzarella, basil, tomatoes, etc.) The real saving grace, however, is their garlic bread... Easily the best Ive ever tasted, but by no means enough to make up for the rest of the experience.

Buena pasta, y divertido lugar. Pero el mozo no le pego ni cerca con la cantidad de comida que teniamos que pedir, y nos quedamos todos con hambre y no tardan poco en sacar otro pedido.
