On Thursday April 21, 2016 my husband and I went to Fuji in Mission Valley, my husband politely asked a waitress for napkins and she was rude, she brought three little napkins with an attitude. My husband noticed that she was rolling her eyes everytime she walked by. After a minor spill and squeezing the lemons he ordered the napkins were used and he requested more very politely again. The waitress rudely said she would be right back but never retured. My husband noticed that she was trying to avoid him, and wasnt attending to any customers and even returned to the podium at the front entrance where the napkins were, my husband said several times excuse me to gain her attention but she was playing as if she didnt hear him, he spoke louder but still politely saying excuse me and she acknowledged him with a major attitude saying I have other customers to attend to, but in the time she did all that she could have easily handed him the napkins, her attitude ruined our dinner and night out because my husband, though very sweet and polite, he can be very very serious, her attitude caused him to become very angry. He asked the alledged manger what her problem was and why is she being so rude and giving him attitude. The manager said nothing. After leaving very frustrated and spending money on a night ruined, he decided to call the restaurant and speak with management the alleged manager answered the phone and immediately said he couldnt do nothing for him, my husband wasnt requesting a refund only an apology and to have the waitress trained in hospitalit. The waitress lied and said he was bossing her around for sugar when in fact he only asked her for napkins due to the spill and mess he was trying to clean up. My husband was frustrated even more and hung the phone up. I decided to call back and clarify the facts but the phone was answered and hung up in my face, I called back and the phone was off the hook.

I am staying at the Hilton Mission Valley next door to the Fuji Steakhouse. Got in late yesterday from the East Coast, had lunch/dinner there yesterday. Queried the waitress re best sushi item on menu, she recommended the Hawiaiin Roll, got that and Miso Soup. Was the best Ive ever had. Today went there for lunch, and, based on rec from last night got the "AB" Roll. Asked several staff what was next best for dinner. They rec the "Cilantro Roll. Tonight when I went in, several of the waitresses and one of the cooks at a grill table smiled and waved, and the waitress came up and said "You can have your usual table." Almost felt like family. Again, queried staff re best rolls, and tomorrow for dinner, before I catch my 9 pm JetBlue flight back to East Coast, Im going to try their "Amazon / Amazing" cant remember exact name. While eating tonight, the Sushi chef who prepared my roll yesterday came up and wanted to know which I liked and why. A very attentive staff who try hard to please, and they accomplish their mission and food it top notch.

My husband and I were very disappointed with the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. We decided that we were craving habachi and knew where are cravings usually lead us, well our waiter was more interested in flirting with the group of girls at the opposite end than doing his job properly. He burnt his hand at least twice that we noticed and was unprofessional. It was also my husbands birthday and the waiter was informed and he did not even pay any mind to it. Lastly the cleanliness of their restroom was unbearable and unsanitary. Toilets had urine all over them, toilet paper inside them, toilet paper all over the floor and smelt horrible. Our favorite restaurant turned into our least in just one visit (5/9/14).

Went to this restaurant because my daughter wanted to eat some where close to Shogun. The waitress and cook, actually all the workers there was very nice,but I will never go here again. I found hair in my daughters soup bowl and found 2 pieces of hair in my Dinner meal that the cook prepared for me at my table, the waitress says the manager will give u a discount, so I thought will credit most of my bill, but..... NO ONLY $7, so my bill was $112. Going here makes me not even want to go to many place like this again.

First time we went we loved it,2nd time the hostess didnt want to speak to us, took forever to seat us, once seated the ppl after us were served first and we had not been spoken to... When I tried to get her attention after 7 mins waiting and still nothing she smiled and walked faster away. When my wife and our friend got up to leave she then came to the table and gathered the menus and didnt even attempt to ask us to stay... Simply put it was rude and bad customer service which sucked because we really liked the place.

management needs changing ASAP. i wanted a vegetable tempura dinner plate. they dont have one, unlike most japanese restaurants. so i said, ill order the chicken plate (rice, chicken, salad), substitute the chicken with your vegetabel tempura, and ill pay for the more expensive chicken plate (knowing meat is more expensive than friend carrots) and the nice waitress asked the manager and he said NO. in this economy? REALLY? never will go back there, will tell others not to go there too.

Service is decent but a bit cold. We actually needed to seat about 40 to 50 spots. We made reservations a couple of days in advance it somehow they could not seem to be able to seat us because of the owner had a family member that was having a wedding party there the same day. We ended up having to split up on several different tables in order to accommodate. The food was pretty good the sake was excellent. Im going to go back there again and check it out 1 more time.

This place was awesome! They welcomed us with multiple greetings and smiles. We had a fabulous chef who was very fun and cooked to perfection. Scallops, shrimp, steak were all cooked perfect. Waitess was always there but not too much, and she remembered my milk to be served with dinner, everyone forgets my milk. Quality was same if not better than Benihanas but cheaper. I would recommend this place to everyone! :-)

NITE MARE HELL DISGUSTING!!!! The chef was in a hurry and flipping the knife so fast and carelessly. ... when we where served our food there was a FINGER TIP in the vegetables!!! Im vomiting in my mouth as Im writing this Thank God we saw it before my child ate it! Manager refused to comp the dinner never appologized! Worst Experience in my entire life at a restaurant

I go to this place all the time. It reminds me of east coast hibachi and I love it! I go enough that I have had bad servers but there are also wonderful servers so dont let one experience stop you from coming again. The food is great and you get so much for what you spend! The cops are the best part though, they are very fun!

The sushi was pretty good. Large selection of rolls at pretty good prices, but if the smell of fish bothers you, you my want to skip this place. The fishy oder slaps you in the face as soon as you get in the door. I think it may come from the pound but its not what you want to smell just before putting raw fish in your mouth
