A recent addition to our neighborhood, this cafe offers Illy coffee, which immediately attracted our attention. We went for breakfast and ordered quiche and a sandwich, which were good. Despite working with excellent beans though, coffee is mediocre, due to (as we were told) the lack of training for the baristas. After a couple of tries they do get it right, but by their own admission, they are not aware of the terms, which in this area of hipster know-it-all foodies could be detrimental to a business. Therefore my plea to the proprietor: Please show these nice people how to make coffee. Pretty please. Oh, and there is another thing. If youre going to call your place Madeleine, you should probably offer good Madeleine cookies. Alas, the ones we were offered were doughy and dense, instead of light and fluffy like theyre supposed to be. None of the buttery flavor either. All this is a pity because this little gem has the potential to be a 5 star rated establishment. So, in conclusion, I do hope they change their cookie recipe and train their baristas and make me revise this review soon. Wish them well!

Dissapointed really. Looks great on the outside just okay on the inside. Pricey menu with little effort or care put into making what food they serve. Slow service. Food was bland and served cold and ironically over cooked and portions were small. If Im going to eat some place the food needs to be hot, quick or good, this was none of those things. Not truly a French cafe more a French themed cafe. Made me sad.Will pass next time.

Lovely neighborhood cafe. Nice decor and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I sincerely enjoyed my breakfast croissant with bacon, egg, swiss cheese, tomato, arugula and salad on the side. They have a variety of food choices. Illy coffee is one of the tastiest to me and this time I had filter coffee, great. Refill was free. Come and give it a try. The service was pleasant as well. Will be returning again and again.

Excellent on every level. Magnificent Crepes, pastries and coffe. Ambience is urban, relaxed, large glass windows that light up the place as much as the owner does with her beautiful daughter. Outdoor patio that looks like it was imprted from some small backsreet in Paris . A must go for Hipsters and cultured urbanites that can appreciate some class early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

The croissants are really to die for (nothing beats when they are right out of the oven) as well as the other pastries. I live nearby so whenever I want to bring some amazing treats to share I will drop in. The staff is really friendly. I accidentally came by early before the opened and they still hooked me up. Really love having this place close to home!

Café au lait was made with skim milk. Terrible. Pain au chocolat was not fresh and not the correct mille feuille dough. That is in stark contrast to the other location where it was freshly made and fluffy crunchy. That was on a Saturday. Atmosphere is very cute and certainly displays old world charm.

This place is truly amazing. The quiche and coffee are without question the best I have ever had. Cant wait to come back for the egg sandwich croissant.
