I usually love Kyoto Palace, at least had in the past. This experience really ruined it for me. We arrived on time, waited about 15 minutes for our table, and were seated first. A family of six sat at our table with us, and we ordered. The chef came and started the process, my husband ordered another drink. The drink came roughly TWENTY minutes later. Unacceptable. If youve ever been to a restaurant like this, you know there are several items that everyone at the table is served from the chef (fried rice, veggies, shrimp, etc.). The chef started on the opposite side of the table for each item, and ran out of EACH ITEM by the time it got around to us. When it came to the shrimp, I finally said something, and he went and got more shrimp to cook. I asked for white meat chicken only, and watched him take the set amount and start cooking. Well apparently after he cooked mine, he decided some if it should be served with the other familys chicken, and they were given it. For the $5 upcharge I paid for white meat, I found this unacceptable as well. Overall, the service wasnt good, the food (although tasty), was served horribly. I will not be coming back here.

My first time here was last night. We ordered the Kyoto Roll, California Roll and the fried rice. The food was good, but I was unimpressed by the service. The hostess seemed irritated that we didnt have a reservation, even though the place was pretty empty on a Tuesday night. The waitress who helped us was not friendly and made me feel like we were wasting her time because we ordered sushi in the dining area side of the restaurant rather than sitting at the empty sushi bar. She said, "you could have just sat over there if all you wanted was sushi." The prices were reasonable, food was great but I dont want to put up with rude servers again.

I had booked a table but when we arrived, the table wasnt ready yet. Of course that happens sometimes but the hostess was not apologetic at all (in fact she seemed rather rude) and told us to sit in a room and wait. While we waited there, no one came to ask us if we wanted something to drink or otherwise were comfortable (there were waiters for the other tables in that room so it would be fair to expect some level of service). After almost 15 minutes of this, my boyfriend and I decided to cancel our reservation and went to another restaurant in the area where we were greeted with a big smile and got seated right away.

this place has gone downhill dramatically, over the past few years. the chefs used to be quite skilled, and authentic... and proud of their technique. now? they speed through their presentation, leaving a mess of food everywhere. their egg tossing skills are deplorable. only 1 in 7 caught theirs after multiple attempts (and everyone at the table are regulars at this restaurant). food is decent, but overly salty. love this place... do sad to think we might not be back. :(

DAMN FUGGING LOUD!!! Guests can come and wear whatever they want, even if it has vulgarities on their shirt. There is no NONE whatsoever attempt to shut these people up. It is uncomfortably loud.. .seriously, beyond concert loud. When will they do something about it? And you are a guest here.. have some damn manners and STFU!

Although it was significantly louder than I remember, we had a terrific time. Lots of birthdays (same reason we were there). Chef was entertaining. Food was excellent. Server was very great! A definite plus for me - our water glasses were filled often! (Not a common thing)

We were turned down because we reached at 9:02 p.m. We were told we close taking orders at 9:00 p.m. Should you guys not advertise the times more appropriately? Why does it say it is open until 10:00 p.m? I will not recommend this place coz of customer service.

Its okay. Good food. Insanely loud though. Everyone goes there for birthdays and the employees pound on the steel above the tables. Better hope it doesnt knock any garbage into your food. The noise cant be overstated though. Very very loud.

My fiancé and I LOVE this place! Good service, amazing food and just an all around good experience. Price wise for the show its totally on part and worth it. Weve come here for dinner for all of our anniversaries, three years in a row!

I worked at Kyoto Palace like 5 years ago. I worked at Benihana as well. I quit because I was burned out on the whole cooking thing. Kyoto Palace is a great place to eat and get a show to boot. I really miss their sushi too! Michael.

The japanese show they perform while cooking in front of you was fun. I recommend the steak and the lobster. Sushi was acceptable. That night they had karaoke... not sure whether it runs all the time

Went there for hibachi...it was on par with other hibachi places. Fun atmosphere and their saki is competitively priced. Be sure to take someone with a birthday for some good laughs!
