Ok...We are rating a Restaurant based on food and service not wheather or not they approve of your sexual orientation! Wait arent they located in the Gay part of town, Yet they are so ignorant as to alienate their most frequent market...Kelly_26 your comment is stupid and holds no merit, glad your not going back! 1. Everytime I have been there I go to the register like every other customer and make my order, pay for order, and they bring the food to the table....I have been there numerous times on Sunday after church and have never seen a waitress come take any orders at the table! 2. All the food we have ordered is by far the best Mexican food in Sacramento; been to Ernestoss and they only thing my family agreed was good was the bean dip and chips. 3. Try being a pleasant person to deal with instead of a needy Lesbian who endures in the sence of entitlement; you might just get good service where ever you go! 4. Please dont feel that if someone doesnt cherish the ground you walk on that there just prejudice against Gay people...

An interesting restaurant that forms part of the Avillez restaurant empire which includes a 2 Michelin starred restaurant. The food is rooted in the traditional Portuguese restaurant but with some modern twists. The wine list is comprehensive, the service friendly and attentive and the ambient in the restaurant relaxed but on the classy side - with an interesting twist of a "normal" kitchen as you would find it in most peoples homes at the back of the restaurant where some of the dishes are being prepared. Worth a visit, but my preference would be to stick with some of the more traditional restaurants at a lower cost and perhaps a more original experience.

This place was a mess. I ordered what what I thought was going to be the "Rojo Chicken Enchiladas". The waiter brought me cheese instead. After I realized what had happened I told him that I had gotten the wrong thing. He went on to insist that he was certain that I ordered something different then offered to take it back and have it redone. Everyone knows NOT to send your food back for something like this!! The [lace seemed nice but I was POORLY impressed with the waiters attitude as well as his customer service!! I WILL NOT be going back to this place ever again!!!!

Went there for taco Tuesday and it was okay. Walked in and went to the register to order food and drinks but no drink menu was available and cashier only named a few margaritas they have. After ordering the foods and drinks came pretty fast. The carnitas were hit and miss; first order I placed they were nice and juicy but the second order was dry and flavorless. I asked the waitress if there was a drink menu and in fact there was but it looked like they only had 1 copy for the whole restaurant. Their Mangoneada was delicious.

I ordered from here on Uber Eats. I was pleasantly surprised. I got the Azul Mexican Food & Tequila Bar and it definitely lived up to its name. The first bite, I almost passed out. Everything tasted fresh, seasoned perfectly for me. I cut it in half since it was so big, but still finished the whole burrito in in one sitting. Now Im in a food coma with a smile on face. Thank you Azul Mexican Food & Tequila Bar Taco!

The food is great and the venue is a nice plan to walk to, but they lose a few stars because we ordered dinner delivered and our $2.00 side order of guacamole was literally a ketchup cup with 1 tablespoon of guacamole in it. Thats straight up nonsense. If you dont have cups to sell to-go orders of guacamole, then dont offer it, and, if you only ketchup cups, then simply dont CHARGE for it.

Order a plate of Carne Asada and it was no what i was expecting. Usually I will orders a quesadilla, sopes or tacos which are not bad, but to serve a carne Asada that does not taste nothing like a Carne Asada is bad, coming from a supposed mexican restaurant. Drinks: a Mangoneada 10 dls and a House Margarita 7.50.....I do not recommend it.

Self Serve! Dont cha know? Yeah me neither. They need a sign at the front directing people since the servers dont greet you unless you come up to the bar. Food was different. Queso was not typical queso for us...just melted Monterey. Salsa was bland. Enchiladas were great! Atmosphere is nice too!

Upon entering youll think that youve entered a trendy lounge bar. This is what makes the good, authentic Mexican food so surprising. Taco Tuesdays are a great time to visit and they make a solid Cochinita Pibil. A good house Margarita is just one feature of this bar.

Taco Tuesday, yum. Lots of tacos for a great price. Id recommend the carnitas or al pastor. Only reason its not five stars is because twice Ive gone there and twice I was still burping them up the next day. Something they use doesnt sit well with me.

No complaints. Overall good food and good drinks. Good ambiance and great people. The bartenders and servers are pleasant and genuine. Always a great time. Recommend their sopes and tostadas. Salsa bar is on point. Mercado margarita is bomb.

The Tacos and Gustavo is the reason I come here every two months. Tacos (Taco Tuesday) are cheap and delicious. Gustavo makes you feel like ur in his own bar with his awesome drinks and professionalism. See u in two months Azul!

Food was great, I love their soft, flavorful rice and chicken tacos. Its street taco style with a beautiful full bar with great prices!! A great first stop before any festivities downtown! Uber cost was 15 bucks from Elk Grove!

A little confusing at first but totally worth it when you figure it out. Just go straight to the bar. The carne asada is amazing. And as a date night idea: late dinner here followed by a show at the comedy club next door

Quality has really dropped off. Wrong orders, dry food, missing sour cream... My Azul burrito didnt have sauce on it, and when they took it back to add the sauce they forgot it in the microwave. Eat somewhere else.
