Waited over 1 and 1/2 hours food that never came. My wife made reservations a week in advance for very special occasion. We ordered two salads, two glasses of wine, two Filets and sides. After short wait, the salads and wine were served. After 1 hour, no food or update on food status. After 1 1/2 hours, the server said the food will be served very soon. During this entire wait, nothing was offered, no bread, crackers or possible appetizers. After a short while longer, we asked for the check. The manager never came to discuss this unfortunate experience. We were charged for salads and wine, and we paid, with not tip. We left this restaurant hungry. i spoke ot the manager on the way out about our situation. He knew that our food was never served and asked if he could then make it up..I refused..Why wait until we are leaving the restaurant? If you want a special occasion dinner, choose wiesly and pick any place but this. The pizza place across the street would have been a better experience.

I tasted my salmon fish It was in heaven. The fish was cooked, what I would call medium rare to it, they said medium. it was fantastic. Not dry at all and enough firmness to please mer. The taste of the balsamic...ginger soy sauce was not over powering, yet it tickled all my senses and enhanced the natural flavor of the salomon My girlfriends shrimp fettuccine was just as good. It was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. But, every flavor complimented each other. Nicely done! To top it off, we shared a dessert of maple flavored dessert with crumbled pecans on its. It resembled flan, but thats the extent of that comparison. Flan cant compare. Overall, thed service of the staff was quite well and though I may have experienced better, I cannot find fault with the service and/or food. Thanks much

After venturing out to various locations in the downtown area, we have chosen to dine regularly at Esquire Grill. We have many reasons for our choice, but the primary reason is that it offers an ambiance where we can relax and talk and enjoy the delicious food without noisy patrons, rushed wait-staff and poor acoustics. Although we like dining adventures, we are finding that many restaurants are crowded and way too noisy. It is difficult to carry on a conversation and be heard. This adds to an increased stress level and not a fun time. The staff of Esquire Grill has always been accommodating, friendly and well-informed when we have questions about the menu items. The Esquire Grill our primary dining choice when downtown.

I had never been to Esquire until a group of friends and I decided to go in for Wednesday happy hour, which also happens to be when they offer $1 oysters! My friends and I were treated like rockstars from being greeted by the host to be taken care of by the bartender. Excellent service, delicious drinks, fresh food - especially the oysters. After we were done eating, we werent rushed out of the area which was a major plus. It was a great experience and I look forward to returning soon.

The meats are incredible. My husband recently had the braised pork. And I had the burger and both were awesome. We also had apps and drinks that were great. What topped the meal off was how wonderful the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie sundae was. I was full but still considered ordering another sundae. It was awesome. The service was just as great as the food. Our waiter was really knowledgeable, and even the manager stopped by to see how our meal was.

In town for a business trip and wasnt disappointed. Warm Brie appetizer, oysters on the half shell, salad and Pork Chop. Was totally full after appetizer course, but I took one bite of the pork chop and couldnt resist (powered through like an American!). Wait staff was knowledgeable, very prompt and polite. Only giving it 4 stars due to a little too much sand in the oysters.

First off, they served us a salad that tasted like fish. Do you like your salad chopped up or would you like to take the time out of your precious lives to use a fork and knife for your salad? The burger was a giant greese bomb and tasted like it just came out of a cows rectum. Ive always wanted to leave a restaurant with fish breath from eating salad.

The heady smell of wood oven-roasted meat permeates the air, and the menu is classic chophouse, from the jumbo shrimp cocktail and iceberg wedge salad to the Niman Ranch rib-eye steak. Cushy booths, a stellar bar, and a private room (complete with fireplace) make this an excellent spot to seal an important business deal over a power lunch.

Worst salmon miso ever. Had order at least 2 times prior and was awesome. This meal oily. Red spicy not dark flavor. Potatoes on plate and was not listed on menu. Carrots were cited on menu. Only 2. Reported to server concerns and disappointment, oh well. Will consider other doing venews on future trips to Sacramento airlport.

Went here for a work dinner and ate one of the best burgers of my life. The burger has bacon jam, fried shallots, and fried egg mayo. It was amazing! Service was great. There is valet parking, street parking, and parking structures really close by.

The entree was very good, but the caesar salad had no taste. The dressing had very little caesar taste, i.e. anchovies and garlic, and there was so little on the lettuce that it tasted like they forgot to put it on. Im very disappointed!!

Nothing out of this world here. Drinks are ok, food is ok, everything is overpriced for what you get. That being said, nothing was bad. Its just in a convenient location for going to the convention center that makes it worthwhile.

I came here with a work group. The wait staff is great. The menu is a bit tired American. Nothing about the food stands out. The restaurant has an outside patio that is very nice. Pleasant all around.

Food was awesome. Rib eye was soft and juicy. Angus burger was cooked perfect, and was really good. Had reservations showed up 12 min early and was seated right away. Price not bad.

This place has gone downhill over the years but still guarantees some nice eats. Would like to see them shake-up their menu to match their nearby contemporaries.
